Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of GCG on financial performance, with firm size as a moderating variable and leverage as a control variable, among manufacturing companies in the basic materials sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2022–2024 period. This study employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis. The research data consists of secondary data obtained from the IDX and the official websites of the relevant companies. The research sample consists of 138 companies. Sample selection was conducted using purposive sampling with E-views 12 software. The results indicate that managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and the audit committee do not have a significant effect on financial performance, whereas the independent board of commissioners has a significant negative effect. Firm size does not consistently moderate the relationship between Good Corporate Governance and financial performance; however, it can only strengthen the influence of the independent board of commissioners. Additionally, leverage has a significant negative effect on financial performance.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is an essential competency in elementary science (IPAS) learning; however, students’ scientific literacy achievement in Indonesia remains relatively low. This condition is partly caused by learning practices that tend to be theoretical and lack the use of direct experience and contextual environmental resources. This study aims to develop and describe an Experiential Learning model based on Litera Ksetra by utilizing the Litera Ksetra environment in Banjar Village as a learning context. The study employed a research and development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The analysis stage was conducted to identify learning needs, student characteristics, and problems related to scientific literacy. The design stage focused on developing Experiential Learning syntax, learning materials, and scientific literacy indicators. The development stage involved constructing and validating the model based on Kolb’s Experiential Learning theory, which was modified according to the learning context. Meanwhile, the implementation and evaluation stages were conducted on a limited basis to examine the suitability of the developed model. The results of this study are in the form of a conceptual framework of the learning model, including modified Experiential Learning syntax, the roles of teachers and students, and its alignment with scientific literacy indicators, indicating that the model is systematic, easy to implement, and potentially practical in IPAS learning. The model emphasizes direct experience, reflection, and environmental interaction as the foundation for constructing contextual and meaningful scientific concepts. Therefore, this model is expected to provide both conceptual and practical contributions as a reference for teachers in designing relevant, context-based learning to enhance students’ scientific literacy.

Abstract

Quality assurance in vocational education has become a strategic issue in enhancing the competitiveness of Vocational High School (SMK) graduates in Indonesia. One widely adopted approach is Total Quality Management (TQM). This study aims to analyze the strategies, challenges, and impacts of TQM implementation at the SMK level in Indonesia using a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. Articles were collected using the Publish or Perish software based on Google Scholar within the 2015–2025 publication period and were selected through the PRISMA model, resulting in 12 articles that met the inclusion criteria. The findings indicate that TQM implementation strategies in SMKs include strengthening quality assurance systems and stakeholder involvement, developing human resources and leadership, adopting international quality standards (ISO), creating a conducive work environment, and providing adequate facilities and infrastructure. The main challenges involve human resource readiness, financial constraints, disparities in facilities between public and private SMKs, and weak integration of quality management systems. The implementation of TQM has been shown to positively impact teacher quality, curriculum relevance, student achievement, and customer satisfaction. Therefore, TQM has strong potential as a strategic framework for fostering a sustainable quality culture in vocational education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of socioeconomic status on social discrimination in Kelebuh Praya Tengah Village. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The types of data in this study are primary and secondary data with data sources in the form of subjects and informants. The subjects and informants were determined using purposive sampling techniques. The data collection techniques in this study included interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used the qualitative data analysis with the following steps: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results of the study show that (1) People with an elementary school to college education experience discrimination in the form of being treated differently in deliberative forums and in the form of mocking actions and words, which has a negative impact in the form of feelings of sadness, shame, hurt, low self-esteem, feelings of failure, or not being appreciated for their achievements and abilities. (2) People who have jobs experience discrimination in the form of being treated differently in public forums, such as being ridiculed because of their job status and being treated differently during traditional ceremonies. (3) Low-income communities experience discrimination in the form of being treated differently in public forums, such as in village meetings, religious activities, and village events. This has a negative impact on the subjects in the form of loss of self-confidence, inferiority, shame, stress, social isolation, and economic decline.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 49 Kuranji, Padang City, caused by limited student engagement, suboptimal selection of learning models and methods, and the preparation of teaching modules that are not fully aligned with the deep learning–based Independent Curriculum. In addition, the learning process remains teacher-centered. This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in the topic of the area of plane figures through the implementation of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) model. This research employs Classroom Action Research (CAR) using both qualitative and quantitative approaches, conducted in three cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through test and non-test techniques, including the assessment of teaching modules, the learning process, and students’ learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were teachers and fifth-grade students at SDN 49 Kuranji, Padang City. The results indicate consistent improvement in each cycle. The evaluation of teaching modules increased from 93.75% in Cycle I to 95.83% in Cycle II and reached 100% in Cycle III. Teacher activity improved from 85.47% in Cycle I to 92.82% in Cycle II and 96.32% in Cycle III. Student activity also increased from 83.93% in Cycle I to 89.28% in Cycle II and 96.42% in Cycle III. Furthermore, students’ learning outcomes improved, with the average score rising from 77.03 in Cycle I to 83.37 in Cycle II and 89.64 in Cycle III, achieving 100% mastery.

Abstract

Educational media are tools that can help students understand various subjects. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of Augmented Reality-based flashcards in elementary school education. Thus, the researcher can draw upon various references from previous research and the insights of earlier researchers to present relevant information to readers. The background of this study is based on the need for innovation in educational media to enhance students’ interest, motivation, and understanding through the use of digital technology. This is a qualitative study employing a systematic literature review method, specifically by examining 20 articles as a sample sourced from Google Scholar, covering the past five years of publication. Based on the results of the systematic literature review, it was found that the use of Augmented Reality-based flashcard media has the potential to create more engaging, interactive, and contextual learning experiences. This learning medium leverages technology to provide educators with opportunities to innovate in its application. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that the use of Augmented Reality-based flashcard media in elementary schools can be an innovative alternative, provided that there is support for facilities and improvements in teacher competencies so that its implementation can be effective.

Abstract

This study examines the role of learning media in addressing learning difficulties and improving students’ motivation in elementary schools. The problem identified is that many students experience difficulties in understanding learning materials, low motivation, and limited active participation due to the lack of varied teaching methods and ineffective use of instructional media. The purpose of this study is to analyze how learning media can overcome these issues and enhance the quality of the learning process. This research employs a literature review approach using a traditional review method by collecting and analyzing relevant national journal articles published within the last five years. Data were gathered through academic databases and analyzed using content analysis techniques, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that learning media play a significant role in making abstract concepts more concrete, increasing students’ engagement, and improving their understanding of learning materials. Furthermore, the use of interactive, visual, and game-based media can enhance students’ motivation, participation, and critical thinking skills. However, challenges such as limited facilities and teachers’ competencies in utilizing media effectively still exist. Overall, the study concludes that the appropriate and creative use of learning media contributes significantly to improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and meaningfulness of the learning process in elementary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKPD) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar sains siswa sekolah dasar menggunakan pendekatan Tinjauan Literatur Sistematis (SLR). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode SLR, termasuk identifikasi, seleksi, dan analisis artikel berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Data dikumpulkan dari basis data Google Scholar, ERIC, dan ScienceDirect dalam rentang publikasi 2020–2025, menghasilkan 20 artikel yang relevan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa LKPD efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar sains siswa, sebagaimana dibuktikan dengan peningkatan skor pretest dan posttest serta nilai N-gain dalam kategori sedang hingga tinggi. Selain itu, LKPD meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, motivasi belajar, dan keterampilan proses sains. Jenis yang paling efektif meliputi LKPD berbasis Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL), Pembelajaran Penemuan, STEM, dan e-LKPD berbasis teknologi. Oleh karena itu, LKPD dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mendukung pembelajaran sains yang inovatif dan berpusat pada siswa di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Waste management is currently a problem in every region of Indonesia, including the village of Margagiri in Bojonegara Subdistrict, Serang Regency, Banten Province. This is due to a lack of proper waste management. To address this issue, a company in the vicinity of the village—PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Cilegon, has launched a community empowerment program with one of its focuses on waste management. In carrying out these empowerment activities, PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Cilegon does not operate alone but collaborates with multi-stakeholder partners. Therefore, the objective of this study is to provide an overview of how community empowerment strategies based on multi-stakeholder partnerships are implemented.The research methodology employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the multi-stakeholder empowerment strategy consists of the initiation, formation, implementation, evaluation, and development stages. The partnership has been successful due to the active involvement of various actors and the achievement of partnership success indicators.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the lack of attention to a key aspect of achieving educational goals—namely, the psychomotor aspect—in student academic achievement at SMP Negeri 55 in Merangin Regency, Jambi Province. The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine the creativity of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers at SMPN 55 in Merangin Regency, Jambi Province; and 2) To determine the influence of PAI teachers’ creativity on student academic achievement at SMPN 55 in Merangin Regency, Jambi Province. This study employs a descriptive quantitative research method. The population of this study consists of students at State Junior High School 55 in Merangin. The sample comprises 31 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument consists of a Likert scale questionnaire. Data collection techniques include questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The results of the simple linear regression test indicate that there is a significant and positive relationship between the creativity of Islamic Religious Education teachers and student academic achievement. The results show that 68% of the 31 student respondents rated the creativity of their Islamic Religious Education teachers as “good.” Meanwhile, 45% of the 31 student respondents indicated that their academic achievement fell into the good category. Furthermore, t-calculated = (2.490) when compared to t-table, so t-calculated (2.490) > t-table (1.699), meaning that the influence of the Islamic Religious Education teacher’s creativity variable on students’ academic achievement is significant and has a positive effect.
