Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of speaking skills in supporting language development among elementary school students through a Narrative Literature Review (NLR) approach. This method is employed to examine and synthesize various relevant sources, including books, scholarly journal articles, and previous research findings. The data were analyzed descriptively by identifying key themes, patterns, and relationships among concepts related to speaking skills and students’ language development. The findings indicate that speaking skills play a significant role in enhancing students’ language abilities, particularly in terms of vocabulary mastery, sentence structure, and communication fluency. These skills are influenced by several factors, including linguistic, psychological, environmental, and pedagogical aspects. In addition, the implementation of interactive and student-centered learning strategies, such as group discussions, role-playing, question-and-answer sessions, and presentations, has been proven effective in improving students’ speaking abilities. However, several challenges remain, including low self-confidence and limited opportunities for students to practice speaking. Therefore, collaborative efforts among teachers, schools, and families are needed to create a supportive learning environment. In conclusion, speaking skills should be developed systematically and continuously to support students’ overall learning success.

Abstract

The development of social media has encouraged changes in the pattern of government public communication, including the dissemination of information related to government activities to the public. Instagram has become one of the social media platforms utilized by the government for information publication because it is capable of delivering information quickly, visually, and easily accessible to the public. This study aims to determine the strategy for utilizing Instagram Story as a publication medium for the activities of the Regional Secretary of Bogor City and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its management process. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation related to the management process of social media publications for the activities of the Regional Secretary of Bogor City. The results of the study indicate that Instagram Story is utilized as a medium for publishing government activities because it is considered capable of delivering information quickly, accurately, and communicatively to the public. The communication strategy applied includes the use of visual content in the form of photos and videos, concise message preparation, and real-time publication of activities. The utilization of Instagram Story also helps build the image of a government that is active and transparent to the public. However, several obstacles were found in the management process, such as time limitations, internet network constraints, and content adjustments to the characteristics of social media audiences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang kurangnya kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran. Adanya penerapan teori humanistik dan pengenalan pembelajaran coding untuk dapat mengembangkan kreativitasnya. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kreativitas siswa sesuai dengan teori humanistik yang membebaskan siswa memilih warnanya sendiri untuk gambar yang diberikan oleh guru. Pengenalan coding dilakukan sejak dini yaitu dari kelas 1 untuk dapat melatih siswa untuk berpikir secara logis dan memecahkan masalah yang dihadapinya. Adapun tujuan dari mini riset yang saya lakukan yaitu menganalisis penerapan teori belajar humanistik dalam mengembangkan kreativitas siswa berbasis pengenalan coding untuk siswa kelas 1 yang mengintegrasikan pada mata pelajaran pendidikan pancasila dengan materi identitas diri dan SBdP. Lokasi penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu pada salah satu sekolah swasta yang ada di Surabaya. Data yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan observasi langsung kepada siswa, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kegiatan yang dilakukan. Analisis yang dilakukan bersifat naratif dan mendeskripsikan fenomena yang muncul dalam proses penelitian. Guru bertindak sebagai agen fasilitator untuk memfasilitasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students’ scientific literacy and scientific attitudes in Biology learning, particularly on Biotechnology material. This study aimed to analyze the students’ initial abilities, improvement, and the effectiveness of the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on scientific literacy and scientific attitudes. The study employed a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted at SMAN 18 Garut in class X-10 during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year with a sample of 30 students selected using cluster random sampling technique. The research instruments consisted of essay tests on scientific literacy and scientific attitude questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk normality test, paired sample t-test, N-Gain, and Cohen’s d effect size with SPSS version 26. The results showed that the average scientific literacy score increased from 48.00 to 70.31, while scientific attitude increased from 72.24 to 83.37. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant improvement after treatment. The N-Gain results for scientific literacy and scientific attitude were 0.41 and 0.42 respectively, both categorized as moderate. The effect size results were categorized as very large. Therefore, the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model was effective in improving students’ scientific literacy and scientific attitudes on Biotechnology material.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the design of an interactive e-comic based on a flipbook for eighth-grade junior high school students in labschool unesa 1. The method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, limited to the analysis and design stages. The results show that the designed media possesses multimodal, interactive, and contextual characteristics through the integration of text, illustrations, color, and layout. The comic serves as a medium for contextual application, supported by a krama dictionary and interactive features with exercises to enhance students’ motivation and comprehension. Thus, the media has the potential to improve students’ understanding and skills in appropriately applying unggah-ungguh basa.

Abstract

Moral education has an important role in developing students’ character students aged 7–12 years old because it is during this period that children's personalities begin to develop. Children begin to learn discipline, responsibility, honesty, manners, and other good habits. Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are the perfect place to instill these values ​​through the practice of worship, rules, and the role models of educators. This research is intended to identify the role of moral education, the moral values ​​applied, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in the character formation of students at the Al Washoya Kertorejo Islamic Boarding School, Ngoro, Jombang. This study used a qualitative method with a case study type. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation from the caretakers of the boarding school, the head of the boarding school, the musyrifah (religious leader), Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and technique triangulation to ensure validity. The findings of the research show that moral education is implemented through habituation, role models, guidance, and supervision. Moral instillation is carried out through morality towards God, oneself, and fellow creatures. The values ​​developed include honesty, compassion, courage, love, self-control, and cooperation. Supporting factors come from the Islamic boarding school environment, the role models of educators, and parental support, while inhibiting factors stem from the students' emotional state and family background. Moral education is the primary foundation for developing students who are disciplined, independent, responsible, and virtuous.

Abstract

This study examines the direct effect of reward provision on fifth-grade students' mathematics learning motivation at MI Bustanul Iman Pengandon using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest method. All 13 fifth-grade students were sampled through a saturated sampling technique. Theresearch instrument, a learning motivation questionnaire, was administered before and after treatment. Data analysis began with a normality test as a prerequisite, then continued with a paired sample t-test using SPSS. The average learning motivation score increased from 78.31 before treatment to 86.69 after reward provision. The results of the normality test showed a normal data distribution, and the t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, so the alternative hypothesis was accepted. These findings confirm that reward provision has a positive and significant effect on fifth-grade students' mathematics learning motivation at MI Bustanul Iman Pengandon. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for teachers in designing learning strategies that can increase learning motivation, as well as provide a basis for consideration for the application of rewards in the context of basic education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of religiosity in managing academic anxiety among female adolescent university students living in Islamic boarding schools. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using purposive sampling techniques involving students who experienced academic anxiety. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and were analyzed descriptively to gain an understanding of the participants’ subjective experiences. The findings indicate that academic anxiety frequently arises when students face academic demands such as assignments, examinations, presentations, and thesis writing. The anxiety is characterized by physical and emotional symptoms, including insomnia, rapid heartbeat, restlessness, overthinking, fear of failure, and lack of self-confidence. The factors contributing to academic anxiety stem from both internal and external aspects, such as low self-confidence, the tendency to compare oneself with others, high academic demands, and the intensive activities within the boarding school environment. Furthermore, the study found that religiosity plays a significant role in helping students manage academic anxiety through religious practices such as prayer, supplication, dhikr, and recitation of the Qur’an. Religious values, including tawakal (trust in God), patience, and earnest effort (ikhtiar), contribute to inner peace, enhance learning motivation, and assist students in coping with academic pressure in a more positive and adaptive manner.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat praktikalitas bahan ajar elektronik pada materi Elemen Pancasila menggunakan Pendekatan Value Clarification Technique (VCT) model matriks di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research & Development (RnD) dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket respon guru dan angket respon peserta didik. Angket digunakan untuk menghimpun data untuk menguji kepraktisan bahan ajar elektronik. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini yaitu diperoleh bahan ajar elektronik yang memiliki tingkat praktikalitas 84,7% dari hasil angket respon guru dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan 95% dari hasil respon peserta didik dengan kategori sangat praktis. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar elektronik pada materi elemen pancasila menggunakan pendekatan VCT model matriks di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar telah dinyatakan Praktis.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of sports activities on immunity and body health. This study used a quantitative method with a survey approach. The research sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 30 respondents who exercise at least 2–3 times a week. The results showed that the majority of respondents had a high level of sports activity (46.7%), while the majority of respondents' health conditions were in the good category (50%). The results of the Pearson Product Moment correlation test showed a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.72 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that effective and regular sports activities have a positive influence on immunity and body health.
