Abstract

Low student learning outcomes can occur due to a lack of learning media used to facilitate students in learning. This research aims to develop puzzle media to improve the learning outcomes of elementary school students in class V. The research used is Research and Development (R&D). The results show that the puzzle media was declared "Very Valid" for testing as evidenced by the results of the media validator who obtained a media percentage of 98%, material 88%, and language 94%. The teacher response results showed a percentage of 96% and student responses showed a percentage of 90%. Meanwhile, to test the effectiveness of media in improving learning outcomes, tests were carried out in the form of pre-test and post-test and analyzed using the N-gain formula of 0.839 which is included in the high category. So it can be stated that puzzle learning media is effectively used in the classroom learning process.

Abstract

This study was conducted to increase students' awareness of character education, literacy, and digitalization in elementary school learning. The research took place at SDIT La Tahzaan Citra Raya with 20 students as participants. Data were obtained from Pre-Test and Post-Test assessments conducted before and after the counseling session. Based on the collected data, the results showed an improvement in students' perceptions of character education, literacy, and technology. This study is expected to serve as an initial step to encourage further actions in enhancing character education, literacy, and technology-based learning for elementary school students.

Abstract

Online games are a highly concerning phenomenon in today's digital era. Online game addiction can cause problems in daily life. The prevalence of online game addiction has been increasing due to the ease of access to technology among children. This study aims to examine the influence of online game addiction on academic achievement and social interaction among elementary school-aged children.The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method, involving 24 students from SD Muhammadiyah 1 Kota Malang and 28 students from MI Muhammadiyah 03. The results indicated a significant negative impact of online game addiction on students' academic performance. Additionally, online game addiction also affected the quality of social interactions, such as reduced communication with peers and family.These findings highlight the critical role of parents and teachers in monitoring children's online gaming time and supporting the development of their social and academic skills. Interventions, such as technology education and time management, can serve as preventive measures to mitigate the negative effects of online game addiction on children.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the influence of the Problem Based Learning approach is higher than the Conventional approach on the ability to determine the structure of short story texts of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Besitang in the 2024-2025 academic year. The population in this study was the population in this study were all class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Besitang in the 2024-2025 academic year, with a sample of 40 people, namely class XI. The method used in this study was an experimental method with a two-group pre-test post-test design approach to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning approach being higher than the Conventional approach on the ability to determine the structure of short story texts of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Besitang in the 2024-2025 academic year. The results showed that the ability to determine the structure of short story texts using conventional in class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Besitang in the 2024-2025 academic year was classified as sufficient with an average value of 66.85. The ability to determine the structure of short story texts using the Problem Based Learning approach in class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Besitang in the 2024-2025 academic year is categorized as good with an average value of 72.07. It can be concluded that there is a higher influence of the Problem Based Learning approach than the Conventional approach on the ability to determine the structure of short story texts in class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Besitang in the 2024-2025 academic year. The use of the Problem Based Learning approach to improving the ability to determine the structure of short story texts is more effective than the conventional method.

Abstract

Understanding the idea of MISCONCEPTION in the context of teaching natural sciences (IPA) in elementary schools is the main goal of this article. Understanding the idea understanding strategies employed by Natural Science (IPA) instructors and the challenges faced during the Merdeka Belajar curriculum's implementation are the goals of this essay. This study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive methodology. A case study was employed as the data gathering method, in which the researcher thoroughly explains and examines the issue until particular outcomes are achieved. Teachers, pupils, and the principal of primary schools are the subjects of this study. Books, journals, and scientific articles are examples of secondary data sources that are used in this article. Descriptive-analytical analysis, which incorporates critical analysis, critical interpretation, and conclusion drawing, was employed to examine the data. Teachers employ a variety of assessment techniques, according to the study's findings. They employ assignments, written exams, and oral exams to evaluate cognitive abilities. Journals, observations, and self-evaluations are used in the affective component.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the errors made by students in solving statistical word problems based on Newman's stages. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with the research sample consisting of Grade IX D students from SMPN 10 Mataram in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection was conducted through essay tests and interviews. The results showed that out of 32 students, 10 students (31%) were categorized as having a high level of errors, 15 students (47%) as having a moderate level of errors, and 7 students (22%) as having a low level of errors. The highest error occurred in the transformation stage (61%), followed by process skills (52%), encoding (50%), reading (43%), and comprehension (32%). This study highlights the importance of teaching approaches that can reduce student errors at these critical stages.

Abstract

A study was conducted to investigate the impact of a planning course on prospective teachers' professionalism in a Physics Education Study Program. Using a qualitative case study method, the study analyzed data from 5th semester students who took the course. The findings showed that the planning course not only equipped students with skills in developing lesson plans, but also boosted their confidence and readiness for real teaching experience. Additionally, the course encouraged students to engage in self-reflection, which is crucial for their professional development. The study suggests that higher education institutions should ensure the effective implementation of the planning course to produce competent teachers who are well-prepared to tackle the challenges of the education field.

Abstract

This research aims to identify, obtain and examine the use of interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3 among elementary school students. The method used in this research is the literature review method, starting with collecting information from articles, books and scientific works that are relevant to the research theme. Research results show that interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3 helps students understand the material. Interactive media-based learning allows students to interpret or make their own conclusions about what they learn. The research results show that interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3 plays an important role in the modern education process.

Abstract

The use technology-based learning media has become a crucial innovation in improving the quality of education, including in Papua. This study aims to analyze the experiences of PGSD students at Universitas Cenderawasih in using Quizizz as a learning medium in the Civic Education course. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was employed, utilizing interviews, obsevations, and an analysis of learning evaluation results as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that most students perceive Quizizz as providing a more engaging and interactive learning experience through gamification features such as leaderboards and instant feedback. This positively impacted students learning motivation, with a 15% increase in average evaluation scores compared to conventional methods. However, the study also identified significant challenges, particularly limited internet access, especially for students residing in remote areas of Papua. The study concludes that Quizizz is an effective learning medium in supporting students competency achievement, although infrastructure challenges remain a major obstacle. Developing offline features and improving infrastructure support are essential to ensure the sustainability of this media’s implementation. Future research is recommended to explore Quizizz’s application in other courses and its integration with project-or problem-based learning methods.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa ditinjau dari pola asuh orang tua di kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Mataram Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik penentuan subjek penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah subjek penelitian yaitu 6 siswa. Adapun untuk teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga metode yaitu angket, tes, dan wawancara dengan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket pola asuh orang tua, tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, serta pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis Miles and Huberman yang terdiri dari tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek dengan pola asuh demokratis memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang berada pada kategori sangat kreatif dan kreatif, dengan memenuhi aspek kefasihan dan aspek fleksibilitas tetapi belum mampu memenuhi aspek kebaruan. Subjek dengan pola asuh permisif memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang berada pada kategori kreatif, dengan memenuhi aspek kefasihan dan aspek fleksibilitas tetapi belum mampu memenuhi aspek kebaruan. Subjek dengan pola asuh otoriter memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang berada pada kategori tidak kreatif, subjek tidak mampu memenuhi aspek kefasihan, aspek fleksibilitas, maupun aspek kebaruan.
