Abstract

This research aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class II students at SDN 04 Bengkulu City through the application of the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by the Quizizz application. The research method used is classroom action research (PTK) with two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The research subjects were 30 class II students. Data was collected through learning results tests, observation and documentation, then analyzed descriptively. The research results show that the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Quizizz can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. In cycle I, the average student learning outcome score increased from 65 (pre-cycle) to 75, with a learning completion percentage of 70%. In cycle II, the average score increased to 85, with a learning completion percentage reaching 90%.  The conclusion of this research is that the Discovery Learning model assisted by Quizizz is effective in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of class II students at SDN 04 Bengkulu City.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the level of ChatGPT application usage among university students in digital learning era. This study adopts a quantitative research method, utilizing a questionnaire distributed through Google Forms. The questionnaire consists of closed-ended questions using a Likert sccale with 4 options: Strongly Agree (SA), Agree (A), Disagree (D), and Strongly Disagree (SD). The questionnaire comprises 6 indicators, elaborated into 30 statement items. The results of the Validity Test show that the overall calculated r value is greater than the r-table value, at a significance level of 5%. The Reliability Test results indicate that the coefficient alpha reliability (Cronbach Alpha) in each indicator is greater than 0.5, indicating that the research instrument is reliable. This study involved 60 respondents, who are students from the Department of Primary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Dharma Acarya, State Hindu University of I Gussti Bagus Sugriwa Denpasar. The research findings show the average percentage across all indicators, revealing that 25.33% of respondents strongly agree, while 45% agree with the use of ChatGPT in lectures. Additionally, an average of 27.83% of respondents disagree with the use of ChatGPT in lectures, and 1.83% strongly disagree. It can be concluded that 70.33% of respondents support the implementation of ChatGPT in the learning process in the digital era.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the efforts of the independent curriculum in improving the quality of 21st century education, especially at the basic education level. Through the literature study method, this research analyzes the basic principles, implementation, and advantages of the independent curriculum in improving the abilities needed in the 21st century, strengthening character, and evaluating learning. The results of the study show that the independent curriculum is designed with flexibility to meet local and global needs, emphasizes project-based learning, and integrates the values ​​of the Pancasila student profile. Implementation of this curriculum provides opportunities for students to develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication competencies, while strengthening character through learning that is relevant to real life. Simplification of teaching materials and process-based evaluation allows students to learn more deeply, while teachers are given freedom in designing appropriate learning strategies. The advantages of the independent curriculum include an orientation towards holistic, adaptive and sustainable learning, so that it has the potential to improve the quality of basic education in Indonesia. It is hoped that this research will become a reference in understanding and optimizing the implementation of the independent curriculum, as well as making a significant contribution in realizing national education that is relevant to the challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the reading interest of fifth-grade students at State Elementary School 23 Singkawang and identify the factors influencing their reading interest. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews (with students, teachers, the principal, and the librarian), and documentation. The results indicate that the majority of fifth-grade students have a moderate level of reading interest. Internal factors influencing reading interest include reading ability, reading habits, and motivation. Meanwhile, external factors encompass family environment (parental support), the availability of books and library facilities, and the influence of technology. The study concludes that efforts to enhance reading interest should consider both internal and external factors of students, as well as involve schools, families, and the positive use of technology.

Abstract

In grade 6 MIM 01 Tempuran they do not quickly understand the mastery of building space material in mathematics subjects. This happens because the 6th grade teacher still uses conventional learning methods, namely lectures, resulting in students taking a long time to understand the material and even the material taught is more than the target that should be determined. The research method used is classroom action research aimed at understanding the improvement in the actions that researchers have taken on the problems that occur. This action research was conducted in 2 cycles, namely cycle 1 and cycle 2. The object of the action is the 6th grade students of MI Muhammadiyah 01 Tempuran and the subject of the action is the 6th grade teacher of MI Muhammadiyah 01 Tempuran. The improvement can be seen from the results of the pre-test in cycle 1, there are still students whose scores are below 70. After the action in cycle 1 was then carried out a post-test, the results showed that the students' scores had increased but not all students with scores above 70. Then for this reason the researcher continued the action in cycle 2 with additional treatment, namely students playing a more active role in learning and taking a pre-test and the results had improved from the previous post-test. And after additional treatment is given, it can be seen again the results of student scores with a post-test with most students scoring above 70.

Abstract

Assessment in mathematics learning is often limited to worksheets completed individually by students under the supervision of the teacher. The use of less varied assessment methods results in low student engagement, interest, and motivation in learning. Providing engaging assessment tools is one effort to create an enjoyable learning atmosphere. The KIT Matching Card is a medium that can be used as an assessment tool in learning. The KIT Matching Card is a learning medium in which students match cards consisting of two parts: question cards and answer cards, which are paired by the students to match the question with the correct answer. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method by applying the 4D development model. The validity results of the developed media meet the criteria for being highly valid, with an average percentage of 96.82% for the material aspect and 98.99% for the media aspect. The limited trial development using the KIT Matching Card meets the criteria for being highly effective as a learning medium, with an average percentage of 94.44% in teacher responses and 86.45% in student responses. Therefore, the KIT Matching Card is not only considered theoretically and technically valid but is also deemed practically beneficial by users in the classroom.

Abstract

Based on teacher information, most students at SDN 1 Pogung have low socio-economic backgrounds. Students’ learning achievement tends to be low because their parents are more focused on working to meet their living needs, so that parental involvement ini guiding children to study at home is limited. Based on these findings, researchers are interested in conducting research to reveal the role of socio-economic status in influencing students’ academic performance in Elementary School. The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative research. Data in this study were collected through interviews and documentation studies of relevance secondary sources, such as documents, journals, and books. The results of this study indicate that socio- economic status has a significant impact on students’ academic development. Factors such as access to educational resources, parental involvement, and environmental conditions greatly influence their learning performance. Therefore, an inclusive learning strategy and personal approach are needed so that each student gets equal learning opportunities. In this study, an in-depth analysis has been carried out on the influence of economic status on students’ learning achievement performance at SD Negeri 1 Pogung. The results of the study showed a significant relationship between students’ economic conditions and their academic performance. In general, students who come from families with lower economic status tend to have poorer learning achievements compared to students from better economic backgrounds.

Abstract

This research aims to develop STEM-based teaching materials for Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects for fourth-grade elementary school students. This development is carried out to meet the needs of 21st-century education. This research method used in this study is R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model stages. This research uses qualitative and quantitative data. This research was conducted in the 4th grade of MI Baiturrahim. The data collection technique in this study used interviews with the 4th grade teacher, expert validation questionnaires including material, media, language, and STEM expert, as well as student response questionnaires after using STEM based teaching materials. The results of the validation test on the content feasibility aspect received a score of 87%, the graphic of 82%, the presentation of 79%, the language of 94%, and the STEM pf 100% and 97%. all validation test results from the 5 validators fall within the criteria of feasible. The score of all student responses after using STEM based teaching materials on a limited and broad scale received a score of 95% with very good criteria.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' difficulties in beginning reading. Some students face challenges in recognizing and pronouncing syllables, while teachers still rely on printed textbooks for instruction. Therefore, there is a need for supporting media such as e-books to facilitate students' beginning reading skills. The study aims to develop a syllable method-based e-book focusing on nouns and adjectives that is valid, practical, and has potential effectiveness.This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study using the 4D development model, which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Data collection techniques included questionnaire and tests. The subjects of this research were teachers and 33 students of class II A at SD Negeri 30 Pangkalpinang. The data analysis employed normality tests and paired sample t-tests. Based on the validator's assessment, the material expert scored 100% (Very Valid), and the media expert obtained an average score of 98.67% (Very Valid). The small-scale trial results showed 100% (Very Practical), the large-scale trial achieved 100% (Very Practical), and the teacher response questionnaire obtained 96% (Very Practical). The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference before and after using syllable-based e-book media for Noun and Adjective materials in class II of Elementary School.

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials for the Dance Arts Education course in elementary schools that are packaged digitally and adjusted to the characteristics of PGSD students and the characteristics of elementary school students. The research method used is the ADDIE model research and development method (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation Evaluation). In this study, the aspects of feasibility and practicality were measured. The research sample was students of the S1 PGSD Study Program Semester 3A as the control class and 3B as the experimental class taking the Dance Arts Education course in elementary schools. The results showed that the results of the material expert validation were 0.85 (very valid) with an agreement level of 66.67% (strong), the results of the graphic validation were 0.75 (moderate) with an agreement percentage of 66.67% (strong), and the results of the language validation were 0.90 (very valid) with an agreement percentage of 83.33% (very strong). The percentage of student responses to digital teaching materials for Dance Arts Education in Elementary Schools, namely the material aspect 91.67% (very practical), interestingness 86.25% (very practical) and language 70% (practical). Thus it can be concluded that the teaching materials developed are feasible and practical to use.
