Abstract

Currently, education is easily accessible to all levels of society, especially the upper middle class. However, many parents tend to choose private schools over public schools to send their children to school. This is influenced by factors such as facilities and the quality of school education. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that influence parents' preferences in choosing private elementary schools. This type of research is qualitative research. The research sample was selected by purposive sampling, namely by determining certain criteria. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that parents prefer private schools and are not burdened with spending high costs because they are comparable to what their children get at school. It can be concluded that factors such as facilities, quality of school education, character formation, and instilling religious values influence parents' decisions in choosing schools for their children. The benefits of this study are to provide an overview to the general public, especially parents, that private schools can be a superior choice in terms of quality of education, facilities provided, and religious-based programs, which can help them make the right decisions for their children's education.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the boarding house business, forcing entrepreneurs to adapt swiftly to maintain their operations amidst financial and occupancy challenges. This situation highlights the difficulties boarding house businesses encounter in ensuring sustainability during uncertain times. This study investigates the adaptation strategies employed by boarding house (kost) businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a qualitative approach, the research collected data through interviews with four informants, comprising two primary and two secondary sources. The findings emphasize the importance of need-based market segmentation, targeting both students and workers, to maintain occupancy and revenue. Flexible payment schemes, reserve fund management, and cost-saving measures emerged as key strategies to address financial difficulties. Additionally, fostering strong tenant relationships through responsive customer service and empathetic communication enhanced tenant loyalty and ensured long-term occupancy. This study concludes that operational adaptability and effective market segmentation are critical for the survival and growth of rental housing businesses during periods of crisis. These insights provide valuable guidance for similar enterprises navigating uncertain economic conditions while emphasizing the importance of aligning business strategies with tenant needs and maintaining financial resilience.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of service quality, customer satisfaction, and trust on customer loyalty, considering religiosity as a moderating variable. The research was conducted on Islamic bank customers in Indonesia using a quantitative approach based on the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. Data were collected from 126 respondents, with 102 meeting the research criteria. The results indicate that customer satisfaction has the most significant influence on customer loyalty, while service quality and trust also positively contribute to loyalty, albeit to a lesser extent. Additionally, service quality and satisfaction significantly enhance customer religiosity, whereas trust does not show a significant effect on religiosity. Religiosity, while not directly affecting loyalty, serves as a moderating variable that strengthens the relationship between service quality and satisfaction with loyalty. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of enhancing customer experience through high-quality services aligned with Sharia principles, as well as fostering satisfaction and trust to build long-term loyalty. These findings provide practical insights for Islamic bank management to design strategies based on religious values to strengthen customer relationships. Furthermore, this study offers theoretical insights into the critical role of religiosity as a moderating factor in fostering customer loyalty in the Islamic banking sector.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum is implemented in TK IT Baitul Hijrah Kota Binjai using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model as the initial step in this study. The purpose of the evaluation is to determine how well the Independent Curriculum supports early childhood education in terms of sustainability, relevance, and effectiveness. The context element shows how the school's vision and mission are in line with the values of the Independent Curriculum, which are strengthened by leading initiatives such as ProTaBa (Baby Tahfidz Program) and collaboration between institutions and external parties. Although most teachers meet the competency requirements in the input aspect, more training in educational technology and facility improvement are still needed. Positive interactions between teachers and students are evident in the process aspect, but the learning approach is still traditional with little integration of technology. According to the product evaluation, students' social and spiritual growth is quite important, although their Pancasila character has not been strengthened optimally. Strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats in the implementation of the criteria are identified through a SWOT analysis. Intensive teacher training, purchasing digital resources, increasing character values in education, and fostering better parent collaboration are some of the suggested tactics. In conclusion, despite the benefits of the Independent Curriculum, a number of important areas require improvement to maximize the achievement of the country's educational goals.
