Abstract

This research provides an in-depth examination of the 7P marketing mix strategy within Phatnawitya School, an Islamic institution catering to a minority Muslim community in a predominantly Buddhist region of Southern Thailand. Utilizing a qualitative methodology with a descriptive approach, the study explores the school's application of the 7P framework, focusing on the creation of well-rounded individuals and the establishment of a strong community presence. The collected data reveal a comprehensive education offering, from early childhood to advanced Islamic studies, facilitated by a robust infrastructure and innovative programs such as the Change ILP and sports initiatives. The school's approach to market identification, segmentation, and product differentiation demonstrates a strategic alignment with the needs and expectations of its student body. The research highlights the school's adept use of both direct community engagement and social media to communicate its values and offerings. While the study is limited by its singular focus on one institution, the findings suggest that Phatnawitya School's implementation of the marketing mix can inform broader strategies for Islamic educational services in similar socio-cultural contexts. Recommendations for further research include a broader examination of marketing strategies across Islamic educational institutions with varying cultural influences.

Abstract

This research examines four aspects of the independent learning curriculum at MAN 2 Kediri City, namely objectives, materials, methods and evaluation. The main focus is to examine the impact on the development of students' independence and their readiness to face future challenges. This qualitative case study involves field observations, interviews with educational figures, and document analysis within an ethnographic framework. The research results show that the curriculum is designed to shape student character according to the national education profile, with broad and inclusive content. This approach focuses on developing critical thinking and problem solving abilities through a variety of teaching methods. The evaluation uses a multilevel assessment strategy to ensure the effectiveness of the curriculum. The implementation was successful, marked by student academic achievement. However, there are limitations to this research, namely the absence of visual data analysis. For this reason, further studies are needed. These findings contribute to curriculum theory, by proposing a framework that prepares students with essential skills and attitudes for the 21st century.

Abstract

This study explores the role of principal supervision in enhancing the quality of educational administration services at MAN 1 Kepahiang, using a descriptive qualitative methodology. The research aims to provide insights into the supervisory practices of the principal and their impact on administrative functions. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document reviews, involving the principal, vice-principals, and administrative staff. The analysis follows Miles and Huberman's interactive model, comprising data collection, reduction, visualization, and conclusion drawing. Results indicate that effective principal supervision, characterized by a collaborative and democratic approach, significantly improves the quality of educational administration. The principal’s dual role as a manager and supervisor enhances teacher and staff performance through continuous training and problem-solving strategies. Implications of these findings suggest the need for principals to adopt proactive supervisory roles to foster a culture of continuous improvement. The study’s limitations include its focus on a single institution and the subjective nature of qualitative methods. Future research should consider broader scopes and mixed-method approaches to generalize findings and further examine effective supervisory strategies.

Data collection methods employed include observations, interviews, and document analysis. The collected data are processed through stages of data condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. To ensure data credibility, triangulation of sources and techniques is utilized. The findings indicate that the management of the PKDP for improving the competence of novice lecturers involves: (1) Planning, which is coordinated through meetings between government representatives and participating universities; (2) Implementation, which comprises two primary activities: the In-Service Course and On-the-Job Course; and (3) Evaluation, which is conducted through surveys and reporting mechanisms aimed at refining and enhancing the program for future iterations
