Abstract

Information systems play a very important role in supporting the improvement of service quality in the current digital era, namely acting as the main foundation in service transformation, both in the public and private sectors. The challenges in managing administration and services at the Lubabul Fattah Tunggulsari Islamic Boarding School are still dominated by manual systems that are less efficient, resulting in delays in data processing, inaccuracy in managing information, and lack of transparency in Islamic boarding school management. This training is designed by providing practical guidance and technical simulations that can be implemented directly. This study uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, which emphasizes the active involvement of participants in the process of identifying problems, designing solutions, and implementing and evaluating digital information system management training. The results obtained were an increase in participants' understanding and skills related to the use of digital information systems, especially the SIPonpes application, to support the management of administration and operations of Islamic boarding schools. Participants succeeded in integrating digital technology into their work processes, which include student data management, learning schedule management, and automatic creation of administrative and financial reports. Another result was the improvement of digital infrastructure through technical solutions provided to overcome obstacles during implementation, such as troubleshooting guides and direct technical assistance by the implementation team. Overall, this activity has succeeded in bringing about real positive changes in the modernization of Islamic boarding school services, while also providing a digital management model that can be replicated in other institutions.

Abstract

Students need to be equipped with skills to compete globally through context-based learning. Context helps them connect math to the real world, so suitable context-based tasks can strengthen their understanding. However, the tasks designed by prospective teachers often lack of authenticity. In addition, textbooks are still lacking in presenting context-based tasks, while teachers tend to think of them as ordinary word problems. Therefore, teachers need to be given additional insights in designing context-based tasks collaboratively through community service activities for teachers. The teachers actively participated in the workshop and they felt that the workshop materials were useful for classroom learning.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve several aspects of education at SD Negeri Wonocolo 1, especially literacy and numeracy. Through strengthening numeracy and science literacy, it is hoped that students will not only be able to read and count, but also understand scientific concepts in everyday life. Another objective of this PKM is to utilize school land through the implementation of the STEM-based P5 Project. The PKM implementation method is the preparation stage, implementation stage, evaluation stage and program sustainability. This approach aims to improve teachers' abilities in implementing P5 teaching modules that integrate numeracy and science literacy using the school context through the STEM platform. The results of this community service are the formation of a community of practitioners between the principal and partner teachers, this community is able to share knowledge and discuss learning tools that are relevant to numeracy and science literacy, and facilitate active participation in STEM projects at school. Furthermore, there is an increase in teacher skills in the aspects of numeracy and science literacy based on STEM by ≥ 70% based on pre-test and post-test evaluations after training. The compilation of 3 P5 teaching modules covering the dimensions of creativity, independence, mutual cooperation, and global diversity, implemented in the context of STEM with the theme of Sustainable Development Goals, and the topic of Land Ecosystems (life on land), which resulted in three P5 teaching modules according to phases A, B, and C of the independent curriculum that are relevant for SDN Wonocolo 1.

Abstract

Kemiskinan di wilayah pesisir menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang belum terselesaikan dan membutuhkan upaya untuk meningkatan kesejahteraan. Kelompok nelayan skala kecil memiliki kelemahan terhadap tatakelola sumber daya laut sehingga termasuk kedalam kelompok rentan secara sosial dan ekonomi. Penggunaan alat tradisional yang kurang efisien menjadi faktor penyebab kerentanan yang dialami kelompok nelayan saat ini. Hasil riset terdahulu menyebutkan bahwa kelompok nelayan membutuhkan teknologi fish finder untuk meningkatkan hasil tangkapan. Pelatihan dan pemberian fish finder sosialisasi dan pelatihan penggunaan teknologi fish finder kepada kelompok nelayan Desa Pulo Sarok, Kecamatan Singkil, Kabupaten Aceh Singkil merupakan salah satu upaya pemberdayaan untuk meningkatkan margin keuntungan dan efisiensi biaya operasional. Pemberdayaan ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode sosialisasi, pelatihan pengoperasian, hingga penerapan teknologi fish finder di kehidupan sehari-sehari. Sosialisasi pentingnya fish finder dalam aktivitas penangkapan ikan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman peserta. Pelatihan dan demonstrasi perangkat berjalan dengan baik dan diikuti secara antusias oleh para nelayan. Kepercayaan diri dan kemandirian para nelayan meningkat saat mereka diberikan kesempatan untuk menerapkan teknologi fish finder secara langsung di kehidupan sehari-sehari. Mereka juga berhasil menerapkan materi pelatihan yang diberikan pada hari sebelumnya. Seluruh rangkaian kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah bentuk dukungan konkret terhadap kelompok nelayan agar mampu memanfaatkan teknologi modern yang berkemajuan.

Abstract

The diversity of student characteristics requires teachers to be able to manage the class well so that all students do not feel neglected and feel valued for their uniqueness. This activity aims to provide an understanding of elementary school teachers in Blitar City in managing differentiated and multicultural classes, to accommodate student diversity. The method used is a workshop that includes presentation activities and case study analysis attended by 28 elementary school teachers in Blitar City. The evaluations carried out include: reactions, knowledge, impacts, and final results using a Likert scale. The results show that teachers have understood the concept of differentiated learning and multicultural education and showed a high level of satisfaction, although further efforts are needed to deepen the application of strategies in the classroom.

Abstract

Glagaharum Village in Sidoarjo has untapped economic potential. Some residents earn below the minimum wage. Housewives have sewing skills but are less able to change product designs. Limited knowledge of fashion design and business is a major obstacle. The "Kampung Jahit Arumpreneur" program aims to empower housewives by improving sewing and design skills. The implementation method is in the form of mentoring to improve knowledge and skills for participants to increase fashion production capacity. Mentoring bridges the gap in potential, skills to produce high-quality Muslim clothing and improve the village economy. Mentoring is an initiative to support SDG 4 by providing quality education and expanding participants' understanding of the fashion industry. The results of the mentoring activities for participants are in the form of increasing entrepreneurial knowledge and application skills (making patterns, prototypes and identifying material quality). The results of the second mentoring create participants with economic independence.

Abstract

The issue of marine debris is part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) topic, especially on agenda 12 related to responsible consumption and production and agenda 14 marine ecosystems. The existence of community activities on the coast including tourism can be a source of marine debris problems because they contribute to the increase in waste from tourists. Barane Beach, Majene Regency is a tourism development area where one of the groups actively managing the area is the Barane Beach Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS). The method of implementing activities using the counseling method and technology procurement includes three stages, namely: (1) coastal clean-up action, (2) waste management education, and (3) procurement of separate trash bins. The results of the education activities show an increase in public perception regarding the cleanliness of waste at coastal tourist locations and a good understanding of waste management.

Abstract

The problem encountered in the Jati Endah Village community is the low level of financial management literacy which is indicated by the lack of public understanding regarding personal financial management. This community service activity aims to improve public understanding regarding personal financial management so that people are able to manage their finances optimally. The method of activity carried out is community service in the form of coaching including material presentation accompanied by financial management practices. The results of the community service show an increase in public understanding regarding how to manage personal finances and finances in the business being run. The community also understands the concepts and accounting equations in financial reports which are useful in future financial planning. This activity received a positive response and high enthusiasm from the participants so that it was considered to provide a positive contribution to the community. With the coaching activities carried out, it is hoped that the community can effectively manage their personal finances, be able to plan business development and achieve economic independence in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces challenges in adopting modern technology, particularly in developing effective and engaging learning media. Teachers in the Cross-School Learning Community of Cluster II Anggrek in Jambi City still use conventional methods that are less adaptive to student needs. The utilization of AI technology such as Gamma AI can help create more efficient, innovative, and interactive learning media. The training was carried out systematically with four main modules: Introduction to Gamma AI, Creating Presentations, Tips and Tricks, and Evaluation and Application. The methods used included demonstrations, hands-on practice, interactive discussions, and evaluation of training outcomes. The activity involved 30 teacher participants from the community and was conducted on July 16, 2024, at the SD Negeri 96 Kota Jambi hall. This training successfully improved teachers' competencies in utilizing Gamma AI to create more engaging and interactive learning media. Teachers were able to save time in creating materials, use data for personalized learning, and enhance student engagement through AI-based content. The main output of the activity was the improvement of learning quality in schools within the community and the strengthening of teachers' digital competencies.

Abstract

The community service aims to increase the understanding of business legalities such as NIB certificates, labels, and product packaging for SMEs in Parseh village, Socah district, and Bangkalan regency. The program implementation method is carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and post-implementation. The program focuses on two activities: assistance in issuing NIB certificates and knowledge about labels and product packaging to 30 MSMEs. These activities showed that most SMEs do not have NIB and lacked knowledge about the importance of business legality labels and packaging for three months. By conducting this program, all of the SMEs have succeeded in issuing NIB certificates, as well as successfully making mock-ups of labels and product packaging that are suitable for business improvement. The program evaluation shows that all aspects of the implementation of activities, such as benefits, facilities, and roles of the companions, have good values and relatively high NPS (Net Promoter Score) values, which are beneficial for SMEs.
