Abstract

Angka kecelakaan lalu lintas di kalangan pelajar masih tinggi di Indonesia. Pemerintah melalui Kementerian Perhubungan telah mengenalkan pembatasan kecepatan khusus pada kendaraan di wilayah sekolah yang dikenal dengan nama Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS), dengan tujuan untuk menjaga keselamatan di sekitar area sekolah. Di Desa Perkebunan Tanjung Kasau, para pengendara di zona sekolah terkadang tidak memerhatikan kecepatan berkendara mereka. Maka dari itu, mahasiswa KKNT USU (Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik Universitas Sumatera Utara) mengusung program rambu K3 (Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja) dengan memasang plang K3 sebagai peringatan zona sekolah agar pengendara mengurangi kecepatan berkendara di zona sekolah Desa Perkebunan Tanjung Kasau. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan mulai dari tanggal 22 September 2022 – 16 Desember 2022. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini meliputi survei awal, pengumpulan data, pembuatan plang K3, dan monitoring. Sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat, siswa, dan staf sekolah di Desa Perkebunan Tanjung Kasau. Diharapkan dari terealisasinya pemasangan Plang K3, dapat membantu mengurangi angka kecelakaan di daerah kawasan sekolah Desa Perkebunan Tanjung Kasau.The number of traffic accidents among students is still high in Indonesia. Through the Ministry of Transportation, the government has introduced special speed restrictions on vehicles in the school area, known as the School Safe Zone (ZoSS), to maintain safety around the school area. In Tanjung Kasau Plantation Village, drivers in the school zone sometimes do not pay attention to their driving speed. Therefore, USU KKNT students (Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik Universitas Sumatera Utara) carry the K3 (Occupational Health and Safety) sign program by installing K3 signs as school zone warnings so that motorists reduce driving speed in the Tanjung Kasau Plantation Village school zone. This activity is implemented from September 22, 2022, to December 16, 2022. The method of carrying out this activity includes initial surveys, data collection, making K3 signs, and monitoring. The target of this activity is the community, students, and school staff in Tanjung Kasau Plantation Village. It is hoped that the realization of the installation of Plang K3 can help reduce the number of accidents in the school area of Tanjung Kasau Plantation Village.

Abstract

Generation Z individuals are in their teenage years. The problem of academic procrastination among female students in junior high schools belonging to Generation Z is in the high category. This service aims to reduce students' academic procrastination. The method used to achieve the goal is the goal-setting training method. The service subjects were 17 SMP Negeri 23 Banjarmasin students identified as experiencing academic procrastination in the high category based on the results of the Academic Procrastination Scale analysis. There was a decrease in academic procrastination after being given goal-setting training. Effective goal-setting training influences reducing procrastination among Generation Z teenagers in the city of Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Basket menjadi salah satu olahraga yang memiliki peminat terbanyak, namun tak jarang atlet yang menekuni olahraga tersebut harus mundur karena mengalami cedera yang parah.  Atlet yang kurang dalam memahami teknik-teknik dasar seperti (dribble, shooting, pivot, lay-up, dll) yang berada di bola basket akan berisiko mengalami cedera. Salah satu cedera yang sering terjadi pada atlet bola basket ialah mallet finger injury. Cedera ini disebabkan oleh adanya deformitas yang disebabkan oleh adanya disrupsi dari tendon ekstensor digitorum dan sering terjadi pada lingkungan olahraga dengan basis melempar. Mallet finger injury yang mengenai atlet basket membuat atlet kesulitan dalam melakukan gerakan ekstensi jari secara aktif, hal ini tentu berakibat fatal terhadap performa yang dihasilkan, salah satunya ialah atlet yang berada di Unit Bola Basket Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Dalam upaya mencegah berkurangnya performa dan keoptimalan permainan, perlu dilakukan treatment atau rehabilitasi saat berada di lapangan. Perawatan on-site atau dilapangan tentunya memiliki prosedur yang harus diperhatikan. Pemberian edukasi TOTAPS dan PEACE and LOVE kepada atlet UBB Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta dengan cara menyampaikan materi serta melakukan simulasi kepada atlet tersebut. Leaflet menjadi salah satu upaya tim pelaksana pengabdian masyarakat dalam media penyampaian materi. Dalam sosialisasi tersebut, didapatkan hasil bahwa atlet dapat memahami dan mempraktikkan secara tepat tentang penanganan on-site mallet finger injury, dibuktikan dengan hasil skor pre dan post-test pemahaman atlet. Tim pelaksana pengabdian masyarakat mampu mencapai tujuan utama pelaksanaan kegiatan komunitas.Basketball is one of the sports with the most enthusiasts, but it is not uncommon for athletes who pursue the sport to retreat due to severe injuries. Athletes who lack understanding of basic techniques such as (dribble, shooting, pivot, lay-up, etc.) in basketball will be at risk of injury. One injury that often occurs in basketball athletes is a mallet finger injury. This injury is caused by a deformity caused by disruption of the extensor digitorum tendon and often occurs in a throwing-based sports environment.Mallet finger injury that affects basketball athletes makes it difficult for athletes to perform active finger extension movements; this is certainly fatal to the resulting performance, including athletes in the Basketball Unit of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. To prevent reduced performance and game optimization, it is necessary to perform treatment or rehabilitation in the field. On-site or field treatment certainly has procedures that must be considered. Providing TOTAPS, PEACE, and LOVE education to UBB athletes at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta by delivering material and conducting simulations for these athletes. Leaflets are one of the efforts of the community service implementation team in delivering material. In the socialization, the results showed that athletes can understand and practice appropriately about the on-site handling of mallet finger injuries, as evidenced by the pre and post-test scores of athletes' understanding. The community service implementation team can achieve the main objectives of implementing community activities.

Abstract

The people of Blang Geunang often face challenges in their profession as rice farmers. In Gampong Blang Geunang, the community experiences problems with crop failure caused by pests and diseases, limited knowledge, and conflicts with wildlife. Community service activities provide theoretical and practical knowledge to the people of Blang Geunang in the establishment of Keujruen Blang customary institutions. The method for implementing research-based community service activities is through a SMART approach that shows explicitly what will be achieved and how to achieve it. This activity is a Focus Group Discussion, which goes through the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. This activity was held on October 4, 2023, in the Gampong Blang Geunang meeting hall. Participants who attended consisted of government elements (gampong, sub-district, and district), the Aceh Traditional Council, farmer groups, and the general public. This activity discovered that the Blang Geunang gampong does not yet have a Keujruen Blang traditional institution due to a lack of understanding of the laws and regulations and the Qanun as its derivative. This activity resulted in public awareness of the positive impact of the formation of traditional institutions on the profession of farming communities. The positive impacts obtained include clear regulations regarding rice field activities, the availability of solutions if conflicts occur, legal protection, and the management of rice fields based on local wisdom. Due to the magnitude of the impact felt, the community agreed to form the Keujruen Blang traditional institution. The presence of this traditional institution makes the community inclusive in the management of rice fields in Gampong Blang Geunang.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada siswa SMP untuk lebih memperhatikan postur tubuh mereka. Alur dari metode yang diberikan adalah pretest, edukasi, posttest dan terakhir pemeriksaan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan oleh tim sebanyak 30 orang dengan 5 orang dosen dan 25 orang mahasiswa Fisioterapi Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini ditujukan kepada semua anak-anak SMP Negeri terutama kelas 9, dengan jumlah kelas ada 10 kelas yang tiap-tiap kelas berjumlah sekitar 30an siswa. Di dapat jumlah seluruh peserta adalah 391 siswa. Hasil dari pretest dan posttest siswa mengalami peningkatan tiap-tiap kelas dengan rata-rata 35% rentang peningkatan 20-48%, tidak ada dalam kelas siswa mengalami penurunan pengetahuan. Disimpulkan bahwa semua siswa kelas 9 SMPN 5 Tangerang Selatan mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan.This community service project aims to educate junior high school students, encouraging them to pay closer attention to their body posture. The method employed in this initiative consists of a pretest, educational sessions, a post-test, and a final examination. This community service project was carried out by a team of 30 individuals, including five lecturers and 25 physiotherapy students from Veterans National Development University in Jakarta. The target audience for this community service program includes all state middle school children, particularly those in grade 9, encompassing ten classes, each comprising approximately 30 students. In total, there were 391 participating students. The pre and post-test results revealed an increase in knowledge among students in each class, with an average improvement of 35%. The range of improvement varied from 20% to 48%, and no class showed a decrease in knowledge. In conclusion, it was observed that all grade 9 students at SMPN 5 South Tangerang experienced an enhancement in their knowledge.

Abstract

The objective of this community service action is to develop yards into plant cultivation areas with a fertigation system. Anticipated outcomes include the establishment of local food security within the community, which will promote a culture of food independence and protect the surrounding environment. This research was conducted from August to October 2023 through the utilization of the Participatory Rural Appraisal approach, lectures and demonstration plots. The outcome of this research is an enhancement in the partners' capacity to optimize the utilization of yards as cultivation areas for consumption crops, thereby realizing the long-term potential for achieving food independence. The researchers discovered that urban farming could be implemented in Tapis Village in order to establish a food-independent community. However, after receiving training, the researcher realized that for urban farming to be effective and increase community interest, it must also increase the economic value of the community.

Abstract

Masyarakat pada umumnya menggunakan peptisida untuk memberantas hama ataupun penyakit tanaman tersebut. Jumlah pestisida yang digunakan dalam jumlah yang banyak, lama kelamaan akan memiliki dampak negatif bagi kesehatan dan juga merusak lingkungan. Sehingga perlu dilakukan program pelatihan pembuatan biopeptisida ini, bagi warga di Desa Habaring Hurung, Kota Palangka Raya menjadi partisipan, karena sebagian besar warga berprofesi sebagai petani. Warga Desa Habaring Hurung, Kota Palangka Raya pada umumnya menggunakan peptisida kimia dalam praktek pemeliharaan tanaman dari serangan hama. Untuk mendukung warga desa Habaring Hurung dalam meningkatkan perekonomian dibuatlah pelatihan biopeptisida dari gulma babadotan. Program pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan dapat membantu warga mengatasi gangguan dan serangan hama tumbuhan dengan biopeptisida alami yang lebih murah dan aman bagi kesehatan sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil produksi dan menekan biaya pemeliharaan pertanian, sehingga meningkatkan segi ekonomi dan sosial warga desa Habaring Hurung, Kota Palangka Raya  yang dilaksanakan pada hari senin, 4 September 2023. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode praktik langsung pembuatan biopestisida dengan bahan utama gulma babadotan dan FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Hasil dari pelatihan ini, warga Habaring Hurung, mengetahui dampak negative dari peptisda kimia, biopeptisida sebagai alternatif dalam pembasmi hama dan warga dapat menginovasikan pembuatan biopeptisida dengan tanaman yang mengandung senyawa aktif terhadap hama. Melalui pelatihan ini warga di Kelurahan Habaring Hurung dapat mengganti biopestisida kimia berbahaya selama ini sering dipakai dengan menggunakan biopeptisida nabati yang tentunya aman bagi Kesehatan para petani dan juga ramah lingkungan.Agricultural products are one aspect that improves the economy for people in Indonesia. However, some pests reduce the quality of agricultural products, thereby reducing selling prices. People generally use pesticides to eradicate pests or plant diseases. Excessive and long-term use of pesticides has a negative impact on health and can damage the environment. In this training program for making biopesticides, Habaring Hurung Village, Palangka Raya residents became participants because most residents work as farmers. Residents of Habaring Hurung Village, Palangka Raya, generally use chemical pesticides to protect plants from pest attacks. To support the residents of Habaring Hurung village in improving the economy, training was conducted on biopesticides from babadotan weed. This community service program aims to help residents overcome plant pest disorders and attacks with natural biopesticides that are cheaper and safer for health so that they can increase production yields and reduce agricultural maintenance costs, thereby improving the economic and social aspects of the residents of Habaring Hurung village, Palangka Raya. This activity was carried out by making a biopesticide with the main ingredient babadotan weed and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). As a result of this training, Habaring Hurung residents know the negative impacts of chemical pesticides and biopesticides as an alternative for eradicating pests, and residents can innovate the manufacture of biopesticides with plants that contain active compounds against pests.

Abstract

Bagi masyarakat, berhubungan dengan sumber pembiayaan informal seringkali menjadi pilihan mudah karena kemudahan persyaratan dan akses. Rentenir, baik yang sifatnya tradisional mendatangi rumah warga, maupun yang eksis di era digital seperti pinjaman online menjadi persoalan serius bagi masyarakat, terutama masyarakat golongan ekonomi rendah. Tujuan dari diadakannya pengabdian ini ialah sebagai upaya untuk mencegah dampak yang lebih luas atas bahaya praktik rentenir utamanya di perkampungan padat penduduk. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat melalui sosialisasi ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 Agustus 2023 bertempat di Masjid At Taubah Batang Banyu, Kampung Melayu Laut, Kelurahan Melayu Kota Banjarmasin. Sasaran kegiatan ini ialah warga Kampung Melayu Laut dengan jumlah peserta 40 orang. Metode pelaksanaan yaitu dengan cara ceramah, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan diskusi dan tanya jawab. Evaluasi dilaksanakan menggunakan pemberian soal pretest dan posttest. Hasil evaluasi menyatakan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan perubahan cara pandang. Penyerapan materi oleh peserta sosialisasi sangat baik yaitu diatas 80% dilihat dari nilai evaluasi awal dan akhir. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan masyarakat menjadi lebih paham tentang bahaya praktik rentenir.For the community, dealing with informal sources of financing is an easy option because of the ease of requirements and access. Moneylenders, who traditionally come to people's homes, and those that exist in the digital era, such as online loans, are a severe problem for the community, especially people from lower economic groups. The purpose of holding this service is to prevent a wider impact on the dangers of moneylender practices, especially in densely populated settlements. This community service activity through socialization was carried out on August 10, 2023, at the At Taubah Batang Banyu Mosque, Kampung Melayu Laut, Melayu Village, Banjarmasin City. The target of this activity is Kampung Melayu Laut people, with 50 participants. The implementation method is through lectures, discussion, and question and answer. The evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test questions. The evaluation results stated an increase in knowledge and a change in perspective. Material absorption by socialization participants was very good, namely above 80%, as seen from the initial and final evaluation scores. The results of this activity are expected to make the community more aware of the dangers of moneylender practices.

Abstract

This article examined the implementation of a workshop as a preparatory strategy for Generation Z students at SMK Negeri 3 Banjarmasin to face increasingly complex career challenges. The workshop aimed to deepen students’ comprehension of utilizing technology and media in career services. The research involved 33 tenth-grade students who were evaluated through pre-tests and post-tests regarding their understanding before and after the workshop on September 24-30, 2023. The pre-test results showed positive evaluations, with the majority of participants considering the workshop to have provided accurate career information (90.9%) and to be relevant to the latest developments in the job market (90.9%). After the workshop, there was a positive improvement in participant assessments. Understanding of technological developments increased to 87.9%, while the ability to utilize technology reached 90.9%. The workshop was considered effective in developing career skills (81.8%) and guiding students to optimize their talents for the job market (84.9%). The workshop followed the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, recognizing students as unique individuals with potential that can be developed. The design stage involved identifying student assets, participatory planning, and focusing on the use of technology as a key aspect of career development. The workshop participants were 33 10th-grade students, selected based on the specific needs of the first batch. The ABCD approach considered student diversity, encouraging active participation in every workshop session. Data collection applied the ABCD approach with participatory methods, while instrument development involved local assets and relevant technology. Data analysis included quantitative statistical analysis and comparison of pre-test and post-test questionnaire results to measure changes in student understanding. Overall, the workshop was effective in improving students’ understanding of career trends, skill development, and technology utilization. These results affirmed the role of the workshop as a strategic tool in equipping Generation Z to face the dynamics of the competitive job market.

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka masih belum seluruhnya dapat diimplementasikan dan kompetensi guru dalam pembelajaran digital masih sangat minim. Untuk itu dikembangkan website terintegrasi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengimplementasi kurikulum merdeka. Tujuan PKM untuk memberikan bimbingan dan pelatihan kompetensi guru dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka melalui pemanfaatan inovasi website terintegrasi bagi guru di Kota Langsa. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan utama yakni persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan pasca pelaksanaan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pemahaman guru dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka seperti penerapan prinsip pembelajaran Ki Hajar Dewantara, pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis digital, dan pembelajaran berdiferensisasi. Tim pengabdian juga menyebarkan angket kepuasan. Hasil angket kepuasan responden diperoleh 90% guru puas dalam pelatihan. Kesimpulan dari PKM yakni kegiatan terlaksana sesuai harapan dimana guru memperoleh peningkatan pemahaman terkait implementasi kurikulum merdeka melalui website terintegrasi yang dikembangkan. The independent curriculum is still not fully implemented, and teacher competence in digital learning is still very minimal. For this reason, an integrated website was developed to increase teacher competency in implementing the independent curriculum. Community service aims to provide guidance and competency training for teachers in implementing the independent curriculum through integrated website innovation for teachers in Langsa City. Activities are carried out in three main stages: preparation, implementation, and post-implementation. The service results show increased teacher understanding in implementing the independent curriculum, such as applying Ki Hajar Dewantara's learning principles, using digital-based learning media, and using differentiated learning. The service team also distributed satisfaction questionnaires. The results of the respondent satisfaction questionnaire showed that 90% of teachers were satisfied with the training. The conclusion from community service activities is that the activities were carried out according to expectations where teachers gained increased understanding regarding implementing the independent curriculum through the developed integrated website.
