Abstract

This study aims to analyze the moral and religious development of young children within the Montessori learning environment at Kindy House. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. Data were collected through observations of 48 children aged 4–6 years and analysis of Term 4 Child Development Reports (LPA). The observation instrument was developed based on the National Standards of Child Development Achievement (STTPA) for Moral and Religious Values and enriched with indicators from the domains of Religious Values, Character Education, and Social-Emotional Development. The findings showed that most children achieved the categories of Developing as Expected (BSH) and Very Well Developed (BSB). Moral and religious development was reflected through Montessori activities such as Practical Life, Grace and Courtesy, daily routines, Care of Environment, gardening programs, and Birthday Walk. These activities supported the development of responsibility, discipline, empathy, environmental awareness, and gratitude. The study concludes that the Montessori learning environment positively contributes to children’s moral and religious development through meaningful and concrete learning experiences.

Abstract

Intergenerational poverty is one of the most complex structural issues in human development in Indonesia. Social assistance programs implemented by the government, such as the Family Hope Program (PKH), Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT), and the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP), are expected to be instruments to break the chain of poverty passed down from one generation to the next. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of social assistance programs in breaking the chain of intergenerational poverty in Indonesia, covering four generations: Generation X (1965–1980), Millennial Generation (1981–1996), Generation Z (1997–2012), and Generation Alpha (2013–2025). The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a literature study approach, utilizing secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics, the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Bappenas, the World Bank, and national and international scientific journals. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model. The research results show that social assistance has partially improved access to education and health care, but its effectiveness in ending intergenerational poverty remains limited due to targeting issues, recipient dependency, regional disparities, and weak program integration with economic empowerment. The novelty of this research lies in its comparative analysis across four generations within a single intergenerational poverty framework, a topic that has not been widely studied before.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of students’ self-confidence in mathematics learning at SMA Negeri 8 Tanjung Jabung Barat. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. The participants consisted of 61 Grade X students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire with a Likert scale consisting of 24 statements developed based on Lauster’s self-confidence theory and adapted into four dimensions: Self-Belief, Optimism, Assertiveness, and Independence. Data analysis was conducted descriptively by calculating percentage scores and classifying them into five categories: Very High, High, Medium, Low, and Very Low. The findings showed that most students were in the High category (57.4%), followed by Medium (27.9%), Very High (13.1%), and Low (1.6%), while no students were categorized as Very Low. Analysis of each dimension indicated that Optimism was the strongest dimension (81.2%), whereas Independence was the weakest (70.5%). These findings indicate that students generally demonstrate good self-confidence in mathematics learning; however, learning strategies that further encourage independent learning still need to be strengthened.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dissemination process of Civic Education at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Semarang and to examine the strategic role of the madrasah in fostering digitally responsible citizens. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with curriculum stakeholders, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the dissemination of civic values at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Semarang is implemented comprehensively through four primary channels: the integration of civic values into classroom instruction using interactive digital media; the reinforcement of school culture through flag ceremonies, national commemorative events, and religious moderation programs; student organizational activities such as the Student Council (OSIS) and the Scout Movement; and the utilization of digital platforms, including social media and the Learning Management System (LMS). Digital media play a pivotal role in strengthening students’ digital literacy by promoting critical information filtering and the creation of positive digital content. From a sociological perspective, the madrasah functions as an effective agent of socialization, transforming national values into an identity of digital citizenship characterized by intelligence, ethical awareness, and tolerance. The study demonstrates that the synergy between teachers’ exemplary conduct and technological adaptation constitutes the key factor in the successful internalization of civic values in the digital era.

Abstract

Strategic planning is a crucial foundation for maintaining the sustainability, relevance, and competitive advantage of educational institutions amidst the rapid dynamics of global change. This article aims to analyze seven fundamental aspects of strategic educational planning: self-evaluation, formulation of vision, mission, and objectives, identification of strategic issues, development of strategic programs, and determination of targets and achievement strategies. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method. Data were obtained from books, articles, and documents relevant to the field of educational management and strategic planning. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of strategic planning depends not only on the completeness of administrative documents but also on the alignment between the institution's internal conditions and the external challenges faced. This analysis emphasizes the importance of leadership commitment and the active participation of all stakeholders in translating strategic plans into concrete actions. The results of the study indicate that strategic planning can be a foundation for developing directed, adaptive, and sustainable educational management. Through the implementation of integrated strategic planning, educational institutions can improve the effectiveness of organizational management and strengthen competitiveness in facing various challenges and changes in the educational environment.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of elementary school students in science is a problem that is still often found in the learning process. Based on the results of initial observations in grade III of SDN 14/I Sungai Baung, learning is still dominated by lecture methods so that students tend to be passive, less involved in learning activities, and have not been able to connect science concepts with problems in everyday life. This condition has an impact on the low achievement of student learning outcomes that have not met the established completeness criteria. Referring to the theory of constructivism and various previous research results that cite the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL), this model is considered relevant to increase active involvement and student learning outcomes through problem-solving-based learning. This study aims to describe the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and improve the learning outcomes of grade III students in SDN 14/I Sungai Baung. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that refers to the Kemmis and McTaggart model with stages of planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection carried out in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 24 grade III students of SDN 14/I Sungai Baung. Data collection techniques included tests, observation, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model improved student learning activities and outcomes in each cycle. In cycle I, learning outcomes improved compared to pre-action conditions, although the success indicators were not optimally achieved. After corrective actions were implemented in cycle II, the percentage of classical learning completion increased and reached the established success indicators. Furthermore, students demonstrated increased activeness, collaborative skills, and critical thinking skills during the learning process. Thus, the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model has proven effective in improving the science learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN 14/I Sungai Baung and can be used as an alternative, innovative learning model to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of mudharabah and musyarakah financing on financial performance, proxied by Return on Assets (ROA), at PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk during the 2018–2025 period. This research employed an associative quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from quarterly financial reports. The sample consisted of 32 observations selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics version 27. The findings indicate that mudharabah financing has no significant effect on ROA, as evidenced by a significance value of 0.414 and a t-value of 0.829. Similarly, musyarakah financing does not significantly affect ROA, with a significance value of 0.079 and a t-value of 1.819. Simultaneously, both financing variables also show no significant effect on ROA, indicated by an F-value of 2.507 and a significance value of 0.128. These results suggest that the relationship between profit-sharing financing and the profitability of Islamic banks remains complex and may be influenced by other factors beyond the variables examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' creativity and teamwork skills in handcraft production activities based on the STEAM approach through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. Observations were conducted on 9 female students who were divided into three groups. Each group created products in the form of tulip flower pots made from plastic spoons and beaded bracelets (stringing beads). A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collection techniques consisting of structured observations and semi-structured interviews. The results showed that all groups were able to complete their products within the designated time and exhibited a good level of teamwork. However, two out of the three groups still experienced technical difficulties: the first group struggled to tie the ends of the bracelet string, while the third group faced difficulties in joining the sides of the plastic spoons to form the tulip shape. The integration of STEAM elements in the production process, particularly the mathematics aspect (pattern proportion) and the art aspect (color aesthetics), still requires further reinforcement. These findings imply that the consistent implementation of STEAM-based PjBL can be an effective strategy to develop both students' creativity and motor skills.
