Abstract

This article presents a systematic review of literature related to learning children’s literature based on Indonesian local wisdom. Further research is needed to determine what to do, how, and why learning children’s literature should be based on Indonesian local wisdom. Writing this article was assisted by the Publish or Perish 7, Mendeley, VOSviewer, and NVIVO 12 Plus applications. The search for articles in the Google Scholar database is limited to the last 3 years, namely 2020-2022. From the search results in the Publish or Perish 7 application, there are 2361 articles on Google Scholar, then articles are selected according to compatible themes into 40 selected articles. The findings of the themes/topics are learning children’s literature, children’s literature, local wisdom, children’s reading, digital teaching materials, reading, folklore, poetry, moral values, local wisdom, literacy, oral literature, folklore, drama text, cultural identity, children’s stories, children’s literature teaching, and others. Of these 40 articles, they were analyzed according to the topics determined through the NVIVO 12 Plus application and the results described according to research questions. Learning children's literature based on Indonesian local wisdom is determined by various aspects. Many studies reveal the learning of local wisdom-based children's literature through various types, such as oral literature. Educators must understand conceptually and implementatively so that the nature of children's literature does not simply become a dead text but is truly enjoyable for children. This article contributes to subsequent research and becomes a study for the theme of learning children’s literature based on Indonesian local wisdom.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak dari strategi penguatan literasi baca-tulis terhadap peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Adapun subjek penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala madrasah, seluruh guru dan staff yang berjumlah 16 orang dan peserta didik dari kelas II, IV,V dan kelas VI yang berjumlah 148 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisi data yang digunakan adalah kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap guru dan juga peserta didik dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Strategi penguatan literasi baca-tulis dilakukan dengan mengkondisikan lingkungan fisik ramah literasi, mengupayakan lingkungan sosial dan afektif sebagai model komunikasi dan interaksi yang literat, dan mengupayakan sekolah sebagai lingkungan akademik yang literat. Selain itu indikator literasi baca tulis disesuaikan dengan basis kelas yang meliputi jumlah pelatihan fasilitator dan pemanfaatan literasi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Pada basis sekolah meliputi jumlah dan variasi bacaan, frekuensi peminjaman bahan bacaan di perpustakaan, kegiatan sekolah yang berkaitan dengan ltersi baca-tulis dan jumlah karya tulis yang dihasilkan. (2) Dampak positif kegiatan literasi yang dirasakan oleh peserta didik antara lain yaitu, peserta didik mampu berfikir kritis dan kemampuan verbal anak juga meningkat. Selain itu, dengan kegiatan literasi dapat menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan baru, menambah kosa kata baru, meningkatkan kemampuan menulis, dan meningkatkan ide dan kreatifitas anak. Adapun dampak negatif dari kegiatan literasi yaitu tingkat kebosanan meningkat dan terlalu monoton. Sehingga untuk menghindari hal tersebut guru harus melakukan variasi pembelajaran literasi, bisa dengan game atau kuis digital.

Abstract

In an era of rapid social and cultural change, many young people are experiencing a decline in religious character. This is due to the influence of more secular values, lack of religious understanding, and lack of structured religious activities. This study aims to explore the forms of habituation of religious activities that can shape the religious character of MI TBS Al Fathonah students, as well as identify inhibiting factors in the formation of students' religious character and provide solutions to overcome these factors. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques of observation, interview, and documentation. The collected data were tested for validity through triangulation of techniques and sources, then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Based on research on the habituation of religious behavior of MI TBS Al Fathonah Purworejo students, it was found that several forms of habituation have been carried out at the school, including saying greetings, praying before learning and leaving school, praying Duha, reciting Asmaul Husna, reciting Syiir Kalamun Qodimun, repeating memorization of the Qur'an, and praying Zuhur in congregation. This habit aims to strengthen students' religious character and form good habits in religion. However, the research also identified inhibiting factors in the formation of students' religious character, such as students' innate or instinctive behavior, students' background, peer influence, and the negative impact of social media and online games. To overcome these inhibiting factors, some solutions that can be done are the socialization of character education, the implementation of school rules that support the habituation of religious behavior, providing appropriate rewards and punishments, and conducting effective supervision.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is the ability to understand, use and interpret numbers and mathematical concepts, which is an important skill for every student to be a master. Mathematical literacy is important because it transcends cultural differences and economic inequality. The goal is to see the world through mathematical eyes, and the emphasis is on higher-order thinking, the development and application of general problem-solving skills rather than basic mathematical skills. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Based on the research results, it was found that students at SD Negeri 54 Pontianak had skills in solving and formulating problems with a high percentage, namely 70%. Students have the skills to explain solutions and interpret conclusions, the percentage is 47.5%. Meanwhile, the aspect of applying mathematical concepts or procedures obtained a percentage of 47.8%.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is an effort to enhance the quality of education through curriculum development. This curriculum is designed to address the setbacks caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and has begun to be implemented across various educational institutions, including madrasahs. However, its application remains rare in madrasah settings. MI Masholihul Huda Krapyak is one of the institutions that has adopted the Merdeka Curriculum policy. This study aims to assess MI Masholihul Huda Krapyak’s readiness for implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, using SWOT analysis to evaluate the components of strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats. Through a descriptive qualitative research method involving interviews, observations, and documentation, the analysis results indicate that MI Masholihul Huda Krapyak is overall prepared to implement the Merdeka Curriculum at its madrasah.

Abstract

This research discusses how to implement character education from an Islamic basic education perspective. The approach in this research uses literature study, namely collecting data from various appropriate literature sources, such as; books, articles, theses and other documents. The discussion in the article, namely character education in Islam, aims to build human beings with noble character through the values taught by Allah and the Messenger of Allah which can be applied in basic education. These values include traits such as siddiq, amanah, tabligh, and fathanah, which are the basis for human interaction with God, fellow humans, and the environment. Character education must start from an early age and include various methods such as example, stories, habits and dialogue. Character education in Islam also includes harmonious relationships with Allah, fellow humans, and the environment, all of which are regulated in the Koran and hadith. The implementation of character education is very important in forming individuals who have good morals and are beneficial to the wider community

Abstract

In the era of industrial revolution 4.0, teaching materials need to be adapted to technological developments so that students can be interested. The type of teaching material that can attract students' interest is teaching material in the form of interactive media. This research aims to develop digital teaching materials in the form of interactive learning media that can be used by students in class IV in learning science and technology. This research follows the ADDIE model with five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data was collected through interviews, observation, documentation and questionnaires. The results of questionnaires from media, material experts and field trials show that this interactive learning media is very suitable, with a percentage score reaching 95% including "Very Decent" qualifications according to material experts 96.43%, according to media experts 100%, teacher assessment of 92.85%, field trial results 93.02%, T test results 0.00 that teaching materials are very significant in improving learning outcomes, and N-gain analysis of 0.75 with high criteria. Research conclusions on the development of teaching materials can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to implement a heutagogical approach, or self-determined learning, in the educational process of prospective elementary school (SD) and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) teachers. The heutagogical approach places prospective teachers at the center of learning, allowing them to take the initiative in designing and managing their own learning processes. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, where data is obtained through observation, interviews and document analysis related to the heutagogy-based learning process. The research results show that this approach is successful in increasing the motivation and involvement of prospective teachers in the learning process, as well as encouraging the development of critical, creative and reflective thinking skills. The implementation of heutagogy also helps prospective teachers to be more adaptive and responsive to changes in the educational context, as well as equipping them with the ability to continue learning and developing throughout their careers as educators. Other findings show that prospective teachers who are involved in heutagogy-based learning are able to develop more personalized and relevant learning methods, which not only increase their understanding of the material, but also their readiness to face challenges in the field. Overall, this research concludes that the heutagogical approach is an effective strategy in preparing prospective elementary/MI teachers to become independent, innovative and competent educators. By adopting this approach, educational institutions are expected to be able to produce teachers who are not only able to teach well, but also have the skills to continue to adapt and develop in facing the ever-changing dynamics of the world of education.

Abstract

This study aims to observe the effect of using the Guided Discovery Learning strategy on student learning achievement in animal classification material in class V MIN 2 Pontianak in the 2022/2023 school year. The research method used was quasi experiment with the population of all grade V students, where the sample consisted of two classes, namely class V A as the experimental class and class V D as the control class. Data were collected through t-test, and the results showed that the learning achievement of students taught with the Guided Discovery Learning method had a value of 74.00 (high category), while students who did not use the method had a value of 71.01 (high category). The difference in learning achievement between the two groups was 2.99, and the effect of using the Guided Discovery Learning method on student learning achievement was 10.4%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Guided Discovery Learning learning strategy has a positive impact on student learning achievement in animal classification material in class V of MIN 2 Pontianak in the 2022/2023 academic year

Abstract

untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas III di SD Muhammadiyah 4 Limboto. Tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika melalui alat peraga ini. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang melibatkan dua siklus pembelajaran, masing-masing terdiri dari empat tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan peninjauan. Dalam penelitian ini, guru bertindak sebagai peneliti dan dibantu oleh seorang instruktur matematika sebagai pengamat. Penelitian ini melibatkan 15 siswa kelas III, terdiri dari tujuh laki-laki dan tujuh perempuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui eksperimen, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif. Sebelum intervensi, rata-rata persentase hasil belajar adalah 26%, meningkat menjadi 40% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 86% pada siklus II. Papan catur terbukti efektif, dengan tingkat keberhasilan 75%, dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika di kelas tersebut.
