Abstract

Tanjung Priok Port has been experiencing cargo congestion and a slowdown in the flow of goods, resulting in bottlenecks and congestion around the port. Patimban Port as a national strategic project is expected to synergize with Tanjung Priok Port and offers a solution to this problem. However, customer switching from Tanjung Priok Port to Patimban Port remains low. This research aims to analyze the performance of port operational services, competitiveness between ports, and customer switching behavior from Tanjung Priok Port to Patimban Port. Qualitative research is adopted for this study, with data collection performed through literature study, observation and interviews. This study utilizes qualitative descriptive analysis method and two round Delphi method for data analysis. The research results demonstrate that the operational service performance of Tanjung Priok Port and Patimban Port is satisfactory. In addition, Tanjung Priok Port boasts superior competitiveness compared to Patimban Port. Competitive advantages offered by Tanjung Priok Port include facilities and capacity, easy road access, and port digitalization, meanwhile, Patimban Port offers advantages in terms of loading and unloading speed and more competitive rates. The switching of customers from Tanjung Priok Port is relatively not optimal due to service quality, loading and unloading speed, road accessibility and logistics costs. Policy stimulus and promotional strategies are therefore necessary to encourage customer switching behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of supply chain strategy on the performance of manufacturing companies, incorporating competitive advantage and market orientation as mediating variables. In the increasingly competitive global market, manufacturing companies face significant challenges in maintaining and improving their performance. One of the key factors influencing a company's success is an effective supply chain strategy. However, the interaction among supply chain strategy and other factors such as competitive advantage and market orientation in enhancing company performance remains underexplored. The research was conducted in the Province of DKI Jakarta, where data was collected from 323 employees of manufacturing companies through a questionnaire with 33 Likert-scale indicators (1-5). The data was analyzed using PLS-SEM software to test eight hypotheses. The results indicate that supply chain strategy has a positive and significant impact on company performance. Competitive advantage and market orientation are proven to be strong mediators, reinforcing the impact of supply chain strategy on company performance. These findings suggest that an effective supply chain strategy not only enhances operational efficiency but also strengthens the company's competitive position and responsiveness to the market. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of manufacturing company management focusing not only on supply chain efficiency but also on the development of market orientation and competitive advantage. This can provide strategic guidance for companies in enhancing their competitiveness and performance in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

Traffic crashes pose a significant threat to public safety, resulting in varying levels of injury severity and vehicle damage for at-fault and non-fault drivers. This study investigates crash severity and its contributing factors by employing Generalized Estimating Equations (GEE) for statistical analysis and Random Forest (RF) for predictive modeling. Using Japanese traffic crash reports from 2019 to 2022, this study applies resampling techniques to address class imbalance. GEE provides interpretable statistical relationships, while RF enhances predictive accuracy by capturing complex variable interactions. The findings indicate that at-fault drivers are more likely to sustain severe injuries, primarily due to stop sign violations, hazardous impact locations, and unsafe road conditions. Meanwhile, non-fault drivers experience greater vehicle damage severity, particularly in rear-end and side-impact collisions, where they have limited control over crash outcomes. RF achieved 71% accuracy in injury severity prediction and 65% in vehicle damage classification, outperforming traditional statistical models. However, GEE provided interpretable coefficients, confirming the influence of traffic compliance, impact location, and driver demographics on crash severity. These results emphasize the need for stricter enforcement of traffic control compliance, intersection redesigns to reduce side-impact crashes, and age-specific safety interventions. The integration of machine learning in crash risk analysis offers promising advancements for proactive traffic safety strategies. Future research should explore hybrid modeling approaches and incorporate real-time traffic conditions to enhance predictive accuracy and policy applications.

Abstract

This study investigates the operational performance and sustainability of two urban minibus routes D41 (Gandaria–Cibinong) and D37 (Cibinong–Kampung Rambutan) in the Depok–Bogor region of Indonesia. Using field observations and GPS-assisted time tracking, three indicators were analyzed: passenger load factor, operational headway, and travel time. Results show that while both routes exceeded the government’s 70% load factor benchmark during peak hours, performance dropped below 50% at midday. Headway generally remained within the acceptable range of 2–5 minutes, but D37 exhibited the shortest intervals during morning peaks. D37 also experienced prolonged travel times, often exceeding 80 minutes. These findings highlight the inefficiencies of informal public transport systems, particularly their inability to scale services to match fluctuating demand. This study proposes a low-cost, data-driven framework for assessing route efficiency and supports the integration of informal routes into broader transport planning. The results are relevant to urban mobility reform in developing cities.

Abstract

This study examines the determinants of Gojek ride-hailing adoption in Indonesia by extending the Technology Acceptance Model. The model integrates perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trust, service quality, and gamification as antecedents of adoption in an emerging-market context. A cross-sectional survey of 100 active Gojek users was conducted using convenience sampling. Each construct was measured with four items on a five-point Likert scale. Partial Least Squares–SEM (SmartPLS 4) was used in this study. Perceived usefulness and gamification significantly and positively predict adoption, while perceived ease of use, service quality, and trust show no significant direct effects (p > 0.05). The model explains 64.9% of the variance in adoption (R² = 0.649) and demonstrates strong predictive relevance (Q² = 0.600). Findings underscore the primacy of utilitarian value and gamified design features in driving ride-hailing adoption
