Abstract

Halim Perdana Kusuma International Airport has a quite significant increasing number of passengers since it was operated commercially in 2014. The number of passengers in 2018 reached 7,446,544 people of a daily average passengers of 20,685 people. There are some advanced modes available in the airport; conventional taxis, online taxis and a number of bus from Damri. As the international airport located not far from the city center, closely linked to issues of congestion and air pollution, the urban public transportation is one of the solutions to meet people’s mobility needs, including travel to and/or from the airport. This study analyzes that people prefer Trans Jakarta bus infrastructure to be built in the airport as the new alternative mode to support onward travel to and/or from the airport. The data collection was carried out using an online survey and processed using Descriptive analysis method. The results of the research show that 64.8% of the respondents stated that the current advanced modes of transportation in the airport have not fully provided for the community who use them as the alternative modes and 95.8% of the respondents are willing to switch to Trans Jakarta bus when the infrastructure has been built. This study also analyzes the factors could influence respondents’ interests to provide recommendations to formulate the sustainable public transportation modes policies.

Abstract

The main problem of the national tanker company, Pertamina Trans Kontinental, is the low productivity of the ship’s crew. The purpose of the study is to find out the performance of the crew commitment, crew motivation and work facilities to improve the company’s work productivity. The data were obtained by interviewing five experts. Questionnaires were distributed to ten people of five experts and five employees of Pertamina Trans Continental. The data, then, were analyzed using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). The results of the study show that some employees still need special guidance and supervision to increase their motivation and commitment and the ship facilities should also be increased. The results of the analysis using AHP show that the highest priority can be seen in work motivation factor and then followed by work commitment and work facilities.

Abstract

This study examines the characteristics of traffic accidents on Bontang-Samarinda route during the period of 2018-2020 to identify the accident patterns, causal factors, and accident-prone locations. The data were collected from the police records including time of occurrence, type of casualty, type of vehicle, type of collision, and causal factors. The analysis shows that accidents tend to occur in the afternoon and evening, with a pre-dominance of accidents involving two-wheeled vehicles. The most common type of casualty was minor injuries, but there was an increase in cases of serious injuries in 2020. The main contributing factors were high-speed and road marking violations, with straights and turns being common maneuver. Most crashes occurred in certain segments, especially at KM 22-28 and KM 64-70. This research methods is EAN weighting. The study concludes that prevention efforts should focus on the speed regulation, the driver awareness, and the infrastructure improvement in high-risk road segment. These results provide important guidance for policy makers and relevant authorities to develop more effective road safety strategies on Bontang-Samarinda route.

Abstract

The main problem of the study is related to transportation of goods that cannot be separated from the risks of the goods and the field condition. Based on the previous observation, there were five risk’s categories of biodiesel fuel transportation; force majeure risk, risk of equipment or transportation mode of distribution pipe, risk of equipment or tanker transportation mode, workforce risk, and system and procedural risk. The purpose of the research is to analyze the risk identification, the risk assessment and the risk control of biodiesel fuel transportation from PT XYZ in South Kalimantan to Pertamina Wayame Ambon Maluku. The research method used the risk assessment with Likert scale. The research found that there are three types of risks with the same average score (risk of equipment or transportation mode of distribution pipe, risk of equipment or tanker transportation mode, and workforce risk) and four types of risks that have cost greatest impact of the medium category (force majeure risk, risk of equipment or transportation mode of distribution pipe, risk of equipment or tanker transportation mode, workforce risk).

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of implementing the Milk Run method in supply chain of plastic industry in PT RPI. By reducing the distance of 48 km per day, equivalent to 1,200 km in a month of deliveries, the research highlights significant changes in logistics’ efficiency, cost savings, and carbon emission reduction. More connected travel patterns allow trucks to combine pick-ups or deliveries of multiple sources in single trip to enhance the overall logistics’ efficiency. Reducing the distance contributes to saving transportation’s cost by lowering fuel consumption and maintaining vehicle expenses. Reducing a 1,200 km distance, assumed that a fuel consumption rate of 7 km per liter and a carbon emission rate of 2.68 kg CO2 per liter, could result in a substantial carbon emission reduction. This study provides a foundation for further research, including route and scheduling optimization, in-depth environmental impact analysis, and Milk Run implementation in other industries. The findings offer a comprehensive overview of Milk Run effectiveness in the plastic industry, emphasize operational advantages, economic impact, and commitment to sustainability.

Abstract

Traffic accidents are one of the biggest causes of death in Indonesia. Traffic accidents could occur due to various factors such as human factors, facilities, infrastructure, and the environment. These factors are seen as causes of traffic accidents. Furthermore, the impacts experienced due to traffic accidents are not always the same. Someone could be injured or even die. This impact is seen as the nature of an accident injury. This research analyzes and models the relationship between the nature of traffic accident injury variables and the variables causing traffic accidents. The data used in this research is 12,353 traffic accident data in DKI Jakarta from 2020 to 2021. The analysis was carried out using two main methods, namely the chi-square test to determine the existence of a relationship between variables and an ordinal logistics regression model to model the influence of variables causing traffic accidents on variables of the accident injuries nature. Based on the chi-square test, there is a significant relationship between the level of traffic injury and the factors of age, gender, type of work, time and location of the incident. However, there is no significant relationship between the level of the traffic injury and the day of the incident. Variables that are significantly related are then created as an ordinal logistics regression model equation. The results show that the injury level could be predicted based on the causal factors with 92.45% accuracy in classifying the level of the injury.
