Abstract

Bentuk usaha yang meletakkan konsentrasi utama pada keterampilan seni yang dimiliki dan juga di ciptakan oleh seseorang melalui sebuah pelatihan baik secara mandiri maupun dalam sebuah workshop menjadi kesempatan bagi seorang Ibu rumah tangga sebagai bentuk peluang usaha yang bisa dilakukan namun tetap bisa menangani kegiatan kesehariannya. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk Pelatihan pada Ibu Rumah Tangga di wilayah desa Kedensari, Tanggulangin-Sidoarjo. Bentuk kegiatannya dengan ceramah, tutorial dan diskusi. Tujuannya untuk menciptakan peluang usaha yang dampaknya bisa dinikmati sebagai hasil karya yang memiliki nilai ekonomis sehingga dapat ditekuni sebagai sebuah usaha dalam meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga.

Abstract

Higher education in Indonesia is required to prepare graduates not only academically but also have an entrepreneurial spirit to compete in the current era of globalization. Considering the current high unemployment rate, it is hoped that college graduates will not only look for work (job seekers) but also create jobs (job creators). This community service focuses on young entrepreneurs who joined HIPMI PT at Universitas Negeri Padang to solve their problems such as the lack of financial literacy mentors and members' lack of desire to learn effective and efficient business financial management. Therefore, the team provide training to increase financial literacy through workshop and assistance in calculating the cost of production and break event point analysis for young entrepreneurs. This community services had succeeded in increasing the financial literacy of young entrepreneurs, and it is hoped that can be applied to running the business they are involved in. Abstrak Perguruan tinggi di Indonesia dituntut untuk mempersiapkan lulusannya tidak hanya secara akademis namun juga memiliki jiwa kewirausahaan untuk bersaing di era globalisasi saat ini. Mengingat tingginya angka pengangguran saat ini, lulusan perguruan tinggi diharapkan tidak hanya mencari pekerjaan (job seeker) tetapi juga menciptakan lapangan kerja (job creator). Pengabdian masyarakat ini fokus pada para wirausaha muda yang tergabung dalam HIPMI PT di Universitas Negeri Padang untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan mereka seperti kurangnya pendampingan literasi keuangan dan kurangnya keinginan anggota untuk mempelajari pengelolaan keuangan bisnis yang efektif dan efisien. Oleh karena itu, tim memberikan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan literasi keuangan melalui workshop dan pendampingan penghitungan harga pokok produksi dan analisis break event point bagi wirausaha muda. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berhasil meningkatkan literasi keuangan para wirausaha muda, dan diharapkan dapat diterapkan dalam menjalankan usaha yang digeluti.

Abstract

Student motivation and interest is one of the supporting factors that can encourage students to continue their education to college. There are many factors that cause students to decide not to continue or continue their education at university, including extrinsic and intrinsic factors. The aim of this service activity is to broaden students' insight into the importance of continuing their studies after they have completed their upper secondary education. The method used is delivery of material, discussion and questions and answers during service activities. The results of discussions and questions and answers found that students' motivation and interest were very influential in continuing their studies at university. The obstacles to students continuing their studies are caused by several factors, as well as students' lack of knowledge regarding scholarships that can be used when studying later, where certain universities provide low funding schemes and scholarship schemes. Abstrak Motivasi dan minat siswa merupakan salah satu faktor pendukung yang dapat mendorong siswa untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. Banyak faktor yang menjadi penyebab siswa memutuskan untuk tidak melanjutkan atau melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi diantaranya yaitu adanya faktor ekstrinsik dan intrinsik. Adapun tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yakni, dapat menambah wawasan siswa tentang pentingnya melanjutkan kuliah setelah mereka menyelesaikan pendidikan tingkat menengah atas. Metode yang digunakan dengan penyampaian materi, diskusi dan tanya jawab saat berlangsunganya kegiatan pengabdian. Hasil diskusi dan tanya jawab ditemukan bahwa motivasi dan minat siswa sangat berpengaruh untuk melanjutkan studi di perguruan tinggi. Terkendalanya siswa melanjutkan studi disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, serta kurangnya pengetahuan siswa terkait beasiswa yang dapat digunakan saat kuliah nanti masih minim, dimana beberapa perguruan tinggi tertentu menyediakan skema pembiayaan yang rendah dan skema beasiswa.

Abstract

The aim of this service activity is to increase digital literacy among students at SDN Inpres Lik Layana Indah through training activities on the use of technology to support learning activities. Service activity is carried out in several stages, namely first, the planning consists of forming a service team, determining partner, and analyzing partner needs and problems; second, the preparation in the form of coordination and initial socialization regarding the schedule; third, the implementation which consists of socialization, training and mentoring activities; and the final stage is reflection and evaluation. The service activity carried out by the service team consist of several activities, namely assistance in working on Class-Minimum Competency Assessment using smartphones, socialization on cyber security and attitudes as members of digital citizenship, training and assistance in using web browser, and graphic design training using the Canva application. All series of activities were carried out well and obtained satisfactory results as seen from the students’ enthusiasm when participating in the activities and the results of the pre-test and post-test analysis which showed an increase in students’ understanding after the service activity.

Abstract

One thing that can bridge the gap between culture and education is ethnomathematics. Ethnomathematics is a form of mathematics influenced by or based on culture. Through the application of ethnomathematics in education, especially mathematics education, will bring better understanding of students about both knowledge and culture of theirs. This way will help teacher for teaching cultural values ​​in students so that cultural values ​​which are part of the national character are embedded from an early age of student. The formation of this new scheme should be from the scheme that already exists in the student. Therefore, in teaching formal mathematics (school mathematics), teachers should start with informal mathematics which is applied by children in society. If a child has a good schema about mathematics used in daily basis increase the existing knowledge the teacher strengthens the existing schema or forms a new schema based on the existing schema.

Abstract

Circles are a part of mathematics that is often found in the surrounding environment. However, the circle is still quite a difficult challenge for students, so many still get relatively low grades. The aim of this activity is to provide understanding and meaningful learning experiences to students in learning mathematics, namely proving the area of ​​a circle using manipulative media. The data collection method is a survey by giving questionnaires to students after the activity and documentation in the form of photos of the activity. The subjects of service were 40 class VIII students at Marioriawa 1 Middle School, Soppeng Regency. The results of the questionnaire showed that on average students responded >90% to all statements given, meaning that learning activities using manipulative media made students more confident in solving mathematics problems, especially the area of ​​circles and developed students' skills in solving problems. The final test results for students showed that there was a drastic increase in student scores compared to the initial test results. Abstrak Lingkaran merupakan salah satu bagian dari ilmu matematika yang sering dijumpai di lingkungan sekitar. Namun lingkaran masih menjadi suatu tantangan yang cukup sulit bagi siswa sehingga masih banyak yang memperoleh nilai tergolong rendah. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu memberikan pemahaman dan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna kepada siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika yaitu membuktikan luas lingkaran dengan media manipulatif. Metode pengumpulan datanya yaitu survey dengan memberikan angket kepada siswa setelah kegiatan berlangsung dan dokumentasi berupa foto kegiatan. Subjek pengabdian yaitu siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Marioriawa Kabupaten Soppeng yang berjumlah 40 orang. Hasil angket diperoleh bahwa rata-rata siswa memberi respon sebesar >90% pada semua pernyataan yang diberikan, artinya kegiatan pembelajaran dengan media manipulatif menjadikan siswa lebih percaya diri dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika khususnya luas lingkaran dan mengembangkan keterampilan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah. Hasil tes akhir pada siswa menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan secara drastis terhadap nilai siswa dibandingkan dengan hasil tes awalnya.

Abstract

Healthy and nutritious food is a basic human necessity. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that our food is healthy, nutritious, and halal according to Islamic law. This community service activity aimed to support sanitation hygiene requirements for obtaining halal certification at the UMKM Pabrik Kerupuk in Linggasari, Kembaran, Purwokerto. The methods used included observation, interviews, training, and evaluation. The results revealed that while the factory had met several requirements, there were areas for improvement in the use of work clothes and gloves, vector control, and the provision of closed waste bins. The education provided raised awareness among owners and employees about the importance of maintaining product cleanliness and safety. By adhering to reasonable standards, the UMKM can enhance product quality, consumer confidence, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Abstract

The objective of this activity is to evaluate the effectiveness of the training program in enhancing participants' competence in the implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) practices. The method used in this activity involves a competency test for 20 vocational school teachers who are members of P4 West Jakarta. The training program includes the comprehensive delivery of OHS material, intensive training, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests to measure competency improvement. The results show that the training program has a significant impact on improving participants' competence. A total of 80% of participants were declared competent in each test unit after undergoing the training, while 20% of participants still did not meet the expected competency. This improvement reflects the success of the teaching methods and training materials applied. The sustainability of this training program requires further evaluation and additional support for participants who have not yet achieved the expected competency. These efforts are crucial to ensure that all participants can meet the desired competency standards. The findings of this study provide strong evidence that a structured and comprehensive training program can effectively enhance competence in OHS practices. Additionally, the importance of continuous evaluation and adjustment of the training program is highlighted to improve the program's effectiveness and quality in the future. Thus, this study concludes that the training program implemented is effective in increasing participants' competence in OHS practices, but continuous efforts are needed to improve the competence of participants who have not yet met the standards.

Abstract

This digitization training of commodity trading as efforts to digitalize the marketing of competitive commodities in Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi, with a focus on the Tampaning chili. Soppeng Regency, which relies on the agricultural sector as the main economic driver, faces challenges in marketing agricultural products, especially chili. To overcome this, The Student Community Service- Community Empowerment by Students Programme (KKN PMM) of Universitas Negeri Makassar carry out system development, socialization, training in use, and marketing through the Vegetables Makassar Delivery (VMD) system. This activity was carried out in Bulue Village, in collaboration with local farmer groups and the Food Crops, Horticulture, Plantation and Food Security Office. The methods used include system development, socialization, and training on the use of VMD applications, and product packaging and sales. The results show that the VMD system has the potential to improve added value of the commodities, to increase society income and to improve Soppeng Regency's economic conditions. Abstrak Pelatihan inimerupakan upaya digitalisasi pemasaran komoditas unggulan di Kabupaten Soppeng, Sulawesi Selatan, dengan fokus pada tanaman cabai Tampaning. Kabupaten Soppeng, yang mengandalkan sektor pertanian sebagai penggerak ekonomi utama, menghadapi tantangan dalam pemasaran produk pertanian, khususnya cabai. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, mahasiswa KKN PMM Universitas Negeri Makassar melakukan pengembangan sistem, sosialisasi, pelatihan penggunaan, dan pemasaran melalui sistem Vegetables Makassar Delivery (VMD). Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Bulue, berkolaborasi dengan kelompok tani lokal dan Dinas Tanaman Pangan, Hortikultura, Perkebunan dan Ketahanan Pangan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pengembangan system, sosialisasi, pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi VMD, dan pengemasan dan penjualan produk. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sistem VMD berpotensi meningkatkan nilai jual komoditas, meningkatkan pendapatan dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat di Kabupaten Soppeng.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide counseling and training to the community so that they can form and understand the role of creative and effective teams in business so that they can start and develop businesses with effective collaboration and provide support in developing people's desires as prospective entrepreneurs and increasing entrepreneurial abilities to develop creative and effective teamwork. It is known to people who study at the Bina Amanah Cordova Entrepreneurship School that success in competing and expanding the creativity of the products produced and their delivery to customers requires a creative and effective team. The material provided is counseling to form a creative and influential business team. It is hoped that the results of this PkM will give an understanding of readiness to become an entrepreneur with a creative and effective business team. The positive implications and impacts of PkM are increasing enthusiasm for starting new small businesses or MSMEs, developing existing businesses with creative and effective teamwork, and building economic independence for the community. Abstrak Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan pembekalan kepada masyarakat agar mampu membentuk dan memahami peran tim yang kreatif dan efektif dalam bisnis, sehingga mampu memulai dan mengembangkan usaha dengan kerjasama yang efektif serta memberikan dukungan dalam mengembangkan keinginan masyarakat sebagai calon wirausaha dan meningkatkan kemampuan wirausaha untuk mengembangkan kerjasama tim yang kreatif dan efektif. Karena diketahui oleh masyarakat yang bersekolah di Sekolah Kewirausahaan Bina Amanah Cordova bahwa keberhasilan dalam bersaing dan meningkatkan kreativitas produk yang dihasilkan serta penyampaiannya kepada pelanggan memerlukan tim yang kreatif dan efektif. Materi yang diberikan berupa penyuluhan dengan tema membentuk tim usaha yang kreatif dan efektif. Hasil dari PkM ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman mengenai kesiapan untuk memiliki kemampuan menjadi wirausaha dengan tim yang kreatif dan efektif dalam berusaha. Implikasi dan dampak positif dari PkM ini adalah meningkatkan semangat memulai usaha kecil atau UMKM baru dan mengembangkan usaha yang sudah ada dengan kerjasama tim yang kreatif dan efektif serta membangun kemandirian ekonomi bagi masyarakat.
