DE_JOURNAL (Dharmas Education Journal) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Dharmas Indonesia, dan sebagai sarana publikasi hasil penelitian serta berbagi perkembangan ilmu tentang pendidikan. Jurnal ini memuat artikel yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya yang berupa artikel hasil penelitian ataupun penelitian terapan, artikel telaah yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan ilmu pendidikan. Jurnal ini terbit 2 kali dalam setahun yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember. DE_JOURNAL merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang berisi tentang hasil penelitian, kajian mendalam, gagasan atau inovasi pada bidang ilmu pendidikan. Gagasan yang berasal dari para peneliti yang berada pada sektor pendidikan diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif pada dunia pendidikan. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of pauses, overlaps, and backchanneling in political conversations on Najwa Shihab’s YouTube channel, specifically between Najwa and Ahok, using Yule’s (1996) Pragmatics theory. The research method is a descriptive qualitative method with a conversation analysis approach. Data were collected through conversation transcripts and analyzed using conversation analysis theory. The results show that pauses are divided into short and long pauses. Short pauses occurred 6 times, typically happening when a speaker is thinking or formulating the next words, while long pauses occurred 9 times, providing space for the interlocutor to think and respond. Overlaps occurred 26 times and were categorized into three types: difficulty in conversation with an unfamiliar person occurring once, expressions of closeness and solidarity occurring twice, and interruptions occurring 23 times. These overlaps often happened when both speakers spoke simultaneously, arising from awkwardness, enthusiasm, or interruptions to present a different argument or defend a point of view. Additionally, vocal backchannels, such as “mmm,” “yes,” and “okay,” occurred 11 times, while non-vocal backchanneling, such as nodding, occurred once. Backchannels serve as short responses from the listener to indicate attention, agreement, or understanding. This study concludes that these elements play a crucial role in enriching the dynamics of political conversations on social media, enhancing interaction between speakers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan gagasan dan peran guru dalam menanamkan nilai moral pada pembelajaran PPKn Mendeskripsikan materi dan hambatan peran guru dalam menanamkan nilai moral pada pembelajaran PPKn  terhadap siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta Parulian 2 Medan. Penelitian ini perlu dilakukan untuk memberikan deskripsi Upaya guru PPKn dalam menanamkan nilai moral pada terhadap siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta Parulian 2 Medan. desain penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif yang teknik pengambilan datanya melalui observasi dan wawancara yaitu 2 orang guru PPKn sebagai informan kunci dan 2 orang siswa kelas VII sebagai informan pendukung di SMP Swasta Parulian 2 Medan. Dengan teknik analisis keabsahan data melalui triangngulasi dan teknik analisis data yakni reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dengan hasil penelitian peran guru dalam menanamkan nilai moral pada pembelajaran PPKn adalah enyampaian Materi yang Relevan, Diskusi dan Refleksi, Pemberian Contoh Teladan, Pemberian Motivasi dan Penguatan Positif, dan Kolaborasi dengan Orang Tua dan Lingkungan Sekolah. Sedangkan materi ajar dalam menanamkan nilai moral adalah Pengetahuan Tentang nilai Moral, Perasaan tentang nilai Moral, dan contoh Perbuatan nilai Moral dan hambatan yang dirasakan guru PPKn dalam menanamkan nilai moral di SMP Swasta Parulian 2 Medan yaitu masalah kebiasaan siswa dan metode mengajar guru yang masih konfensional atau ceramah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris Pengaruh Green Accounting Terhadap Kinerja Keuangan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan-perusahaan manufaktur subsektor pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2021-2023 sebanyak 91 perusahaan dari situs www.idx.co.id. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa laporan keuangan pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2021 sampai dengan 2023 dan perusahaan yang mendaftar PROPER periode 2021 sampai dengan 2023 yang telah didokumentasikan. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi. Teknik dokumentasi dipilih untuk memperoleh data yang lebih objektif dari sumber awalnya. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dan analisis yang telah dilakukan mengenai pengaruh green accounting terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan yakni, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa green accounting secara parsial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan pada perusahaan manufaktur subsektor pertambangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Saham Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2021-2023.

Abstract

During this COVID-19 period, all activities, especially education, are carried out at home. Using online learning media, such as Google Classroom, has led to online learning (in the network). This study aims to generate and determine the effectiveness of online learning using Google Classroom based on project-based learning on scientific literacy. This research method uses the type of research and development with the ADDIE development model. The stages in the ADDIE model consist of 5 stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data collection techniques used are test and non-test. The subjects in this study were elementary school students. From the research results obtained from the validation results of learning materials and media, the results of the assessment of Google Clasroom learning media based on project learning on scientific literacy obtained a percentage of 95% with the category "Very Valid" and the results of the validation of learning media obtained a percentage of 92%. So based on these results, this Google Clasroom based on project learning media product is suitable for use during the learning process at school.The result of the development of this learning media is a project-based learning media based on Google Classroom. It can be concluded that Google Classroom learning media based on project-based learning is suitable for use in online learning and improving students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the self-confidence of early childhood students through the implementation of role-playing methods at RA Miftahul Hidayah, Panti District, Jember Regency. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. The research subjects were 20 children aged 4-5 years. Results in Cycle I indicated that 55% of the children showed increased self-confidence, but this result did not meet the target of 75% success. In Cycle II, improvements were made through individualized guidance and more varied role-playing scenarios. As a result, 75% of the children showed significant self-confidence enhancement. Thus, role-playing methods have proven effective in supporting the socio-emotional development of children and can be widely implemented in early childhood education settings.

Abstract

Materi IPA tentang wujud zat benda seringkali memiliki tujuan untuk mengajarkan siswa tentang jenis-jenis zat, perubahan wujud, dan lain-lain. Namun, mencapai tujuan-tujuan tersebut bisa menjadi sulit jika guru masih menggunakan metode ceramah konvensional. Salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan oleh guru adalah mengadopsi media pembelajaran yang lebih sesuai, sehingga siswa dapat dengan lebih mudah mencapai tujuan pembelajaran tersebut. Media pembelajaran scramble berbasis flashcard merupakan metode yang menuntut siswa dapat bekerjasama dengan baik dalam memecahkan sebuah persoalan, sehingga siswa dibuat agar dapat lebih berpartisipasi aktif selama pembelajaran. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan model ADDIE. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi dan angket respon motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian ini bahwa skala kelayakan media pembelajaran SIFOCUS dari validasi materi memperoleh skor 90,41% dan ahli media memperoleh skor 90,54%, sehingga penilaian mendapatkan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Penilaian terhadap jawaban angket motivasi belajar siswa memperoleh kategori “Sedang”, dengan dengan nilai 0,44 Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran SIFOCUS layak untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the game “two truths and a lie” in increasing self-awareness. Self-awareness is a person's ability to understand oneself deeply, both in terms of emotions, thoughts, and actions. The Two Truths and a Lie game is a social game that is often used for introductions or building intimacy in groups. In this game, each participant takes turns delivering three statements about themselves. Two of the statements must be true (truth) and one statement must be false (lie). The other participants have to guess which statement is a lie. By using “Two Truths and a Lie,” students can get to know each other better, which is an important first step in the guidance and counseling process. This study uses an experimental research method, which aims to determine the effectiveness of the Two Truths and a Lie game treatment on students' Self-awareness. In this study, the design used is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, where the results of children's abilities are measured before and after being given treatment. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' Self-awareness after being given the Two Truths and a Lie game. Statistical testing using the Wilcoxon test indicated an increase in students' Self-awareness. On positive ranks in the test, 12 students showed an increase in Self-awareness from pretest to posttest. In addition, there was no decrease in students' Self-awareness.

Abstract

Improving the quality of the assessment system is one of the initiatives aimed at improving educational standards. A strong learning framework will produce high-quality education, encourage educators to develop effective teaching strategies, and inspire students to engage in their learning more effectively. Measurement, assessment, assessment and evaluation each have a different scope and focus. The method in this research is a literature study which is used to analyze literature relevant to the research topic. This research does this by analyzing literature related to the concepts of measurement, evaluation and assessment in Islamic Religious Education. The scope of assessment is shorter and is usually only limited to one element, such as student achievement, student activity and so on. In addition, assessments are carried out and used by individuals involved or part of the system in question. A broader evaluation covers all system components, such as the education system, curriculum and learning. This can be done by internal and external evaluation. In essence, student learning outcomes are categorized into three areas: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. It is hoped that teachers can develop this area well in every lesson. Evaluation activities were carried out to determine the development of these three fields.

Abstract

This research delves into the effects of ice-breaking on the concentration and interest in study among elementary school children, underscoring that livelier and hands-on strategies can improve academic interest and attention. By studying trends, patterns, and effective pedagogical methods through a systematic review of existing research, the study seeks to establish a dynamic, stimulating learning environment that significantly improves the quality of primary education. Using the Systematic literature review (SLR) approach, this study collates data through the gathering, analysis and synthesis of the literature based on empirical research directly related to ice-breaking activities on elementary students' concentration and learning interest and utilizes literature from a mixture of academic databases such as Google Scholar and Science Direct with PRISMA screening applied and followed up with the content analysis to source patterns from trends that can help in evidence-based practices in education. The study concluded that ice-breaking activities play vital role in enhancing concentration, motivation and learners' engagement in the learning process. An application of systematic review allowed for the verification of findings, noting that interactive and physical activities seem to have the highest impact. Such techniques have reduced anxiety and enhanced a positive learning environment while building stronger teacher-student relationships essential to student achievement. In conclusion, the study highlights the significance of adhering ice breaking activities in the high education system to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

The background of this issue is Merdeka Learning Curriculum, a pedagogical initiative designed to increase learning flexibility and encourage active student engagement. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of Merdeka Curriculum on the learning motivation of high school students in Bantul. A quantitative approach was used, with a survey method to collect data from 130 students of SMA Negeri 2 Bantul consisting of grades X, XI, and XII. Respondents were proportionally selected from each level to represent the diversity of experiences in implementing Merdeka Curriculum. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire. The findings of this study, as evidenced by simple linear regression analysis, show that Merdeka Curriculum has a substantial effect on learning motivation (B = 0.266; Sig. = 0.000). Elements of the Merdeka Curriculum such as freedom to choose subjects, formative assessment, and project-based learning contribute to increasing students' intrinsic motivation. In addition, the teacher's role as a facilitator was identified as an important factor in increasing student engagement. This finding is in line with the principles of Self-Determination Theory, which emphasizes the role of autonomy in increasing motivation. This research recommends optimizing the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum through increased support for teachers and educational institutions. Future research needs to explore the long-term impact of this curriculum on student achievement.
