Abstract

Non-formal educational institutions serve as one of the main pillars in achieving quality education. This community service program aims to disseminate integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in learning to enrich students’ educational experiences. The methods employed in this program include systematic training and mentoring, accompanied by questionnaires to measure participants’ improvement.  Descriptive statistical analysis using mean analysis was conducted to examine the significance of changes that occurred. The results indicate a significant improvement across all measured aspects. Participants not only gained an understanding of basic AI concepts but also demonstrated the ability to utilize various AI platforms to support more creative and interactive learning abilities. Further mentoring strengthened teachers’ reflective abilities and ethical awareness in integrating AI in a balanced and purposeful manner. This program successfully enhanced digital literacy and pedagogical competence among educators in non-formal educational institutions. It demonstrates that continuous training and mentoring approaches can serve as an effective model for accelerating the digital transformation of education in the era of Artificial Intelligence.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to support Rantie Bakery, a microenterprise in Palembang, in strengthening its competitiveness through packaging innovation. Previously, the business relied on simple packaging that neither conveyed brand identity nor provided essential product information, limiting its market value. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the program involved preparation, training, mentoring, evaluation, and follow-up. Through Canva-based training, the bakery owner gained new knowledge and skills, recognizing packaging as both a visual communication tool and a branding strategy. The outcomes show enhanced capacity in designing packaging aligned with the Visibility, Information, Emotional Appeal, Workability (VIEW) framework. The new packaging is visually appealing, informative, functional, and eco-friendly. This initiative is expected to improve brand image, boost sales, and better position Rantie Bakery to compete in local and digital markets.

Abstract

The physical education learning process can be defined as students' activities in receiving, understanding, and responding to material presented by the teacher. One form of activity rich in educational value is traditional games, which have been proven to contribute to children's intellectual and social development, as well as character formation. However, in the modern era, traditional games are increasingly marginalized and less familiar to students. Yet, traditional games are not only fun but also rich in values of cooperation, tolerance, self-confidence, and can increase learning motivation. This community service activity aims to reintroduce traditional games as a learning medium for Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) at Muhammadiyah 5 Elementary School in Pekanbaru. Traditional games possess high educational values, such as cooperation, sportsmanship, and physical fitness, but are increasingly marginalized by digital games. The activity methods included outreach, training, and the development of learning modules and video tutorials. The implementation results showed increased student participation and understanding of local cultural values through traditional game activities. This activity is expected to become a sustainable innovation in PJOK learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology in the Society 5.0 era has significantly affected human life, especially among Generation Z who are deeply immersed in digital media. This condition poses moral and spiritual challenges due to uncontrolled information exposure. This study aims to explore how Islamic values are instilled in Generation Z in utilizing digital technology. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation conducted in Rejosari Village, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau. Participants consisted of junior and senior high school students, teachers, and religious figures. The findings reveal that Generation Z demonstrates high digital literacy but lacks moral and ethical awareness. The strategies for instilling Islamic values include integrating Qur’anic teachings, fostering digital ethics, and utilizing Islamic media platforms such as podcasts and YouTube channels. Evaluation results indicate positive behavioral changes, including improved ethical conduct, digital responsibility, and social empathy after Islamic value reinforcement. The study concludes that Islamic values serve as an essential moral filter for the younger generation in navigating digital globalization. The implications highlight the importance of collaboration between schools, families, and communities to build a digital ecosystem grounded in Islamic values, forming digitally intelligent and morally upright individuals.

Abstract

Environmental issues from increasing non-organic waste, especially plastic and fabric scraps, have become serious in Sampali Village, Percut Sei Tuan District. Limited community knowledge, particularly among women, worsens the problem. To address this, the Green Craft Women program was developed as a community-based social entrepreneurship model empowering women to turn household waste into creative, eco-friendly crafts. The program integrates environmental preservation with economic empowerment through recycling training, small business management, digital marketing, and community branding. Implemented through observation, participatory training, and mentoring over three months, it involved 20 women from PKK and youth groups. Results showed improved waste management, entrepreneurial skills, and environmental awareness. Products such as recycled bags, wallets, and home decorations gained market appeal, supported by online promotion. This initiative fostered women’s independence, circular economy practices, and stronger community solidarity in environmental care.

Abstract

Sexual violence is a serious violation of human dignity and the fundamental rights of every individual. This act not only causes physical injury but also leads to psychological trauma and long-term social consequences for victims. In the perspective of legal philosophy, sexual violence against children constitutes a form of dehumanization that disregards human worth and substantive justice, aligning with the view of natural law theory that every person is entitled to protection and respect. Therefore, legal protection for child victims of sexual violence represents the State’s responsibility as mandated by the Constitution. The urgency of this community service initiative is grounded in the idea that law is not merely a set of written rules, but also a means of empowering society, as emphasized in Satjipto Rahardjo’s theory of progressive law. By strengthening legal literacy, communities can function as legally aware subjects. Collaboration between society, law-enforcement authorities, and social institutions is essential to building a responsive and humanistic child-protection system in accordance with Lawrence Friedman’s legal system theory.

Abstract

Research on science learning with the Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) approach shows a positive impact on students, especially in reducing cognitive load and improving learning outcomes. The results of the preliminary study showed that teachers at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur did not know much about what CLT is and how CLT-based devices and media are formed. Based on this, CLT is disseminated for teachers and students through workshop method. The results by the data show that this Community Service has a positive impact because students are enthusiastic, understand the lesson and all media products produced by teachers are proven to have implemented cognitive load theory through measurement based on product assessment rubrics. The scientific impact of this service activity is to enrich the application of  Cognitive load theory in the field, as well as provide feedback for curriculum development and learning methods. The recommendation for this activity is that similar activities need to be replicated in other areas with similar school characteristics so that the benefits can reach a wider audience.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers and parents in preparing and providing healthy, nutritious, and attractive supplementary food for early childhood at TK Negeri Pembina Kabawetan. The problem faced by partners is the rarity of providing supplementary food in accordance with the Technical Guidelines for Providing Supplementary Food Based on Local Food from the Ministry of Health. The implementation method uses a demonstration approach and direct practice of making supplementary food menus using local food ingredients. The activity was carried out for 8 months involving 3 lecturers and 3 students as assistants. The results showed an increase in teachers' knowledge about balanced nutrition and techniques for preparing supplementary food menus, as well as improved skills in making attractive food menus using local ingredients. The outputs include a supplementary food menu guide, journal publications, and video documentation. This program is expected to be sustainable with teachers ability to independently prepare supplementary food menus to support stunting prevention in early childhood.
