Abstract

This community service article examines the persistent gap between normative expectations of data-driven work planning and the limited performance improvements observed in local government offices. Although data-based governance is widely promoted, planning practices often remain compliance-oriented and weakly linked to measurable outcomes. The program aims to strengthen local government capacity to implement data-driven planning as a strategic mechanism for performance improvement. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, government staff were actively involved in cycles of problem diagnosis, planning redesign, action, reflection, and evaluation. Data were collected through document analysis, surveys, participatory observation, and institutional performance records, and analyzed using mixed qualitative analysis and correlation tests. The findings show a substantial shift toward evidence-based planning, improved alignment between data, targets, and performance indicators, and a positive correlation between the intensity of data-driven planning and performance achievement. The study demonstrates that participatory engagement transforms data use from procedural compliance into analytical decision-making and offers a replicable model for institutional strengthening in local governance.

Abstract

Low financial literacy among students regarding trading in the digital era leads to fears of real capital losses and a gap between theory and practice. Therefore, this community service aims to enhance financial literacy through comprehensive trading education and simulation using a demo account from PT Trijaya Pratama Futures. The implementation method includes socialization at Gedung GKB UPN Veteran Jawa Timur (November 20, 2025) with 25 participants, consisting of material presentations (trading basics, technical analysis, risk management, trusted brokers), demo account opening (100% successful with virtual capital of Rp100,000,000), live trading on XAU/USD, and interactive QA sessions. The results show that participants were able to understand independent trading, manage risks, and handle trading psychology effectively. This activity is crucial for building investment independence among the younger generation safely without real loss risks.

Abstract

Nutritional problems in toddlers, including the high prevalence of stunting, indicate the need to strengthen the capacity of Posyandu cadres who play a leading role in nutrition education for the community. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in applying the principles of balanced nutrition through counseling and implementation of the RASA (Healthy and Active Children's Recipes) Book as a medium for continuous education. The methods used were Community Education through lectures, question and answer sessions, and Science and Technology Dissemination, and were evaluated using a one group pretest-posttest design. The results showed an increase in knowledge scores, from 86.8% to 91.9% after the counseling activity. The cadres responded positively to the RASA Book, which was considered practical and easy to apply in posyandu activities. This confirms that educational activities using educational media are effective in increasing the capacity of cadres, thereby strengthening stunting prevention efforts at the community level.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in Mlopoharjo Village, Wuryantoro District, Wonogiri Regency, Central Java, where the majority of the population works as farmers and ranchers. Based on data from Statistics Indonesia, around 60% of productive land is rice fields, while the rest is yards and plantations that have not been optimally utilized. The UT Surakarta Community Service Team sought to improve the welfare of the community through the cultivation of medicinal plants such as ginger, turmeric, and galangal in yards. Herbal plants were chosen because they are easy to cultivate, beneficial to health, chemical-free, inexpensive, and have high economic value. Additionally, these plants are suitable for cultivation during the dry season. To support sustainable cultivation, the team provides jet pumps as a water source for backyards, especially in areas prone to drought. This program is implemented through outreach and training, as well as seed distribution, so that the harvest can be consumed or sold to improve residents' economic conditions.

Abstract

Employee attendance management is a vital component in human resource administration. The Packaging and Marketing Unit of JesseDreamCo lacked any structured attendance recording system, resulting in the absence of credible data for discipline monitoring and performance evaluation. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to establish an accurate and efficient attendance system from scratch. The method employed is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) focusing on Diffusion of Science and Technology (Ipteks), which includes needs analysis, design of a mobile-based attendance application utilizing QR Code technology and Location Based System (LBS). This was followed by intensive Training and assistance. The results demonstrate success in creating an administrative structure where none existed before. The new system facilitates validated attendance records and quantitatively achieved a report recapitulation time efficiency of over 90%. In conclusion, initiating attendance digitalization with validation features is fundamental to establish internal control and enhance employee discipline in SMEs transitioning toward structured administration.

Low financial literacy among housewives often leads to poor financial management and misconceptions about futures trading, which is commonly perceived as a high-risk or illegal activity. This community service aims to improve housewives’ understanding of futures trading concepts through a persuasive and communicative soft-selling approach. The method used was counseling and interactive discussion during a neighborhood gathering in Sidoarjo, involving 25 participants. The material, presented through the topic “One Hundred Thousand Rupiah in the Hands of the Right Wife,” emphasized practical small-capital financial management. The results show that the soft-selling approach effectively created a relaxed learning atmosphere, increased participants’ confidence, and corrected misconceptions about futures trading legality. This activity demonstrates that soft-selling can serve as an educational strategy to enhance financial literacy and empower household economies.

Abstract

Technological development Academic integrity is the main foundation in the development of science, but cases of plagiarism in scientific articles remain a serious challenge among students, especially during the transition period of higher education. This scientific article aims to develop and implement an artificial intelligence (AI)-based training program for new students to improve their understanding and skills in detecting and reducing plagiarism practices, and measure the effectiveness of the training in increasing students' awareness, knowledge, and technical abilities in producing original scientific works. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. The results showed significant improvements in all measured aspects: conceptual knowledge of plagiarism increased by 45%, the ability to identify potential plagiarism in text increased by 62%, and the similarity index in student assignment articles decreased on average from 32% to 11%. The study's conclusions confirm that structured AI training effectively improves the academic integrity of freshmen by equipping them not merely as passive users of detection tools, but as intelligent and ethical writers capable of leveraging AI to strengthen the originality of their work.
