Abstract

Intensifying competition in the coffee shop industry requires companies not only to focus on product innovation but also on creating experiences and café atmospheres that can stimulate customer advocacy behavior. Unlike previous studies that generally position product innovation, café atmosphere, and customer experience as direct predictors of loyalty, this study emphasizes customer advocacy as an advanced form of customer behavior and examines customer satisfaction as the main mediating factor. This study aims to analyze the effects of product innovation, café atmosphere, and customer experience on customer advocacy, with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 220 Fore Coffee customers and analyzed using SEM AMOS version 29. The results indicate that all three independent variables significantly affect customer satisfaction. Café atmosphere and customer experience significantly influence customer advocacy, while product innovation does not. However, customer satisfaction significantly mediates all relationships. These findings highlight the central role of customer satisfaction as a psychological mechanism that bridges company stimuli and customer advocacy behavior. Product innovation, café atmosphere, and customer experience may not directly encourage customers to become brand advocates unless they successfully generate strong satisfaction.

Abstract

The global fast-food industry continues to experience significant growth, with Indonesia emerging as a strategic market. However, KFC faces serious challenges due to boycott calls related to global geopolitical issues. This study aims to analyze the effects of consumer animosity and negative electronic word of mouth (negative e-WOM) on purchase intention, with brand image as a mediating variable in the context of KFC Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using an online survey of 200 Indonesian respondents who were aware of the boycott issue involving KFC. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS version 4.0 with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results indicate that consumer animosity and negative e-WOM have significant negative effects on brand image. Negative e-WOM significantly influences purchase intention, while consumer animosity does not have a significant direct effect. Nevertheless, brand image plays a significant mediating role in the relationships among the variables. These findings highlight the critical role of brand image in shaping consumer perceptions and behavioral intentions. Strategically, KFC Indonesia needs to strengthen brand image, enhance reputation recovery efforts, and manage public perceptions more effectively to reduce the negative impact of adverse information and consumer sentiment.

Abstract

Inclusive leadership represents an emerging leadership style increasingly advocated by scholars and practitioners in the VUCA era. Whether this leadership style can better integrate employees and organizations, as well as adapt to complex management in Indonesia’s multicultural state-owned energy enterprises, is the central question addressed in this study. Specifically, this research examines the impact of inclusive leadership on team performance through the mediating roles of caring ethical climate (organizational level) and sense of belonging (individual level). The model was evaluated using cross-sectional data from 280 employees across various regions (Kalimantan 46.1%, Java 22.1%), selected via purposive sampling (minimum six months’ tenure and direct supervision by a supervisor). The results indicate that inclusive leadership has a positive and significant effect on caring ethical climate (β=0.306, p<0.001) and sense of belonging (β=0.598, p<0.001); both variables mediate the relationship with team performance (CEC β=0.167, p<0.001; SB β=0.090, p=0.046). The direct effect was not significant (β=0.072, p=0.306), confirming a full multilevel mediation (R²=0.417). These findings reveal the cross-level mechanisms of inclusive leadership in the diverse SOE context, contributing to the advancement of HRM theory and inclusive leadership practice.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how digital overload affects employee job satisfaction at AirNav Indonesia Semarang Branch, with organizational commitment as a mediating factor and organizational culture as a reinforcing element. The approach used was quantitative with a causal design. The study involved 62 employees through a saturated sampling technique, and data were collected through a questionnaire with a five-level Likert scale. Analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4. The main findings indicate that digital overload has an insignificant negative impact on job satisfaction. However, digital overload significantly affects organizational commitment in a negative direction. On the other hand, organizational commitment is proven to have a significant positive influence on job satisfaction. Further analysis revealed that organizational commitment significantly mediates the relationship between digital overload and job satisfaction. Organizational culture, on the other hand, does not show a significant influence on job satisfaction, nor does it function as a mediator or moderator. Overall, these results emphasize that the effect of digital overload on job satisfaction is stronger through changes in employee work attitudes, especially in terms of organizational commitment.
