Abstract

The Problem in this study is whether there is an increase in Volleyball Bottom Passing Learning Outcomes Using Sponge Ball Class VIIA SMPN 4 Sungai Raya, Kubu Raya Regency for the Academic Year 2021-2022. The method used in this research uses a classroom action research approach because to improve the learning process through a cycle that includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection, it shows that in the first cycle the percentage of students"™ completeness is only 71,79%, namely 28 students from 39 person. As for the incomplete, there are 28, 21%, namely as many as 11 students from 39 people. This is then a note and reflection for improvement in cycle II. In Cycle II, the percentage of students"™ completeness was 84, 61%, namely 33 students from 39 people. As for the percentage of incomplete, there are 15, 39% or as many as 6 students from 39 people. This is what then becomes a note and reflection that must be strengthened in order to be able to contribute to the volleyball underhand passing.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning saturation of students during the Covid-19 pandemic in class XI IIS SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak. The research method used is descriptive in the form of survey study research. The data sources of this research are the students of class XI IIS wit a total of 45 students. Techniques and data collection tools used in this research is indirect communication with a questionnaire. The results showed that the analysis of student learning saturation during the Covid-19 pandemic in class XI IIS SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak as a whole reached 67.4% with a high category which means that the student experienced learning saturation. Emotional exhaustion 67.4% in the high category, 67% physical fatique in the high category, cognitive fatigue 66,3% in the moderate category, 70% loss in the high category. Efforts made by quidance and counseling teachers to overcome learning saturation during the Covid-19 pandemic by providing information services 69.3% in the high category, tutoring services 72.4% in the high category, individual counseling services 49.3% in the high category, group counseling service 66% with moderate categories, and group counseling services 67.5% with high categories.

Abstract

Mathematical learning difficulties are difficulties experienced by a student which refer to the ability to understand, learn and master concepts in mathematics. A student's lack of understanding of mathematical concepts will certainly be a factor that causes their grades to be low. Therefore, appropriate treatment is needed for these children so that they can get more satisfactory grades. The aim of this research is to analyze the level of mathematical learning difficulties experienced by class VII SMP students in mathematics subjects. The method that the author applies is qualitative research with descriptive methods and data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires. The data analysis used is in the form of descriptive percentages where the data will be analyzed in percentage form. The results of the analysis show that the percentage of students' mathematical learning difficulties in this class when viewed from each indicator is in the low criteria. The level of mathematical learning difficulties experienced by students at this school has improved. There are various ways to reduce the level of difficulty in students' mathematical learning, one of which is by designing varied, effective and inclusive learning strategies, so that every child can understand and master mathematical concepts. That way, students' level of mathematical learning difficulties will be resolved

Abstract

'Miss Nita"™ as a YouTube channel provide many educational videos to teach English as a foreign language. It has many beneficial contents that teach young learners in middle and high school. However, not all of these educational videos are well-matched with the school curriculum, students"™ level, and the design quality is decent. The aims of this research are (1) to find out the content of YouTube videos whether it is compatible with the K-13 curriculum or not; (2) to find out the content of YouTube videos whether it is suitable for students' level or not; and (3) to find out if the quality of the video is sufficient or not. The subject of this research is the YouTube channel "˜Miss Nita"™. The object of this research is the three videos related to descriptive text. This study is a descriptive study. Observation techniques were used to gather the information from three videos. Content analysis was the analysis instrument. The finding denoted that the three videos showed moderate aptitude compatibility to curriculum K-13 and high aptitude compatibility to students"™ level, and their design is very good quality though there were a few errors and mistakes. From this finding, it is concluded that the three videos from "˜Miss Nita"™ are very good educational videos and they could be used to teach 7th-grade students.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate how the online learning on history subject was planned and implemented. This study used descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The researcher used a purposive sampling technique in which the research participants were the head of curriculum teacher, history subject teacher, and class XI Social Sciences 1 students at SMA Islamiyah Pontianak . The results of this study were lesson plans prepared by the teachers, such as learning tools, learning materials and the media used. The implementation of learning at SMA Islamiyah Pontianak had been prepared and carried out in accordance with the lesson plans prepared. Online learning at SMA Islamiyah used the following media:WhatsApp, Google Classroom, and Google Meet applications. In the implementation of online learning,  some  factors occurred:   there was lack of awareness by students in online learning, some students were motivated, and there was lack of supervision from parents. It was concluded that the implementation of online learning occurred in sample research was not carried out well.

Abstract

Learning motivation is one of the crucial factors in achieving success in the learning process. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of video-based learning media in improving the learning motivation of elementary school students. A comparative method with the aim of comparing the existence of one variable in two sample groups was used in this study. The research sample consisted of 30 elementary school students in Jembrana Regency, Bali. The experimental group received learning using video-based learning media, while the control group received conventional learning without video media. The analysis results showed a significant difference in the level of learning motivation between the two groups. This finding indicates that the use of video-based learning media can be an effective alternative in improving the learning motivation of elementary school students. The implications of this research highlight the importance of integrating technology in elementary education to create a more engaging and effective learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact that occurs on high school students with learning used in modern times at this time. In modern times, more use of internet learning media or commonly called learning media boldly. Brave learning is learning that uses internet media so that students do not directly meet face to face in the same place as educators. This study used qualitative research methods. Qualitative research method is descriptive research. In this study, researchers directly observed and conducted interviews with informants and developed the information that had been obtained. The object of this research is high school students in Cikeusal district, Serang district. The results in this study contain the impact felt by every high school student when using online learning such as boredom in learning, not getting the maximum subject matter, lazy to interact directly, not focused, often late, easier to cheat and early marriage. So that educators are expected to be able to evaluate and change learning to be even better than before.

Abstract

The high level of pollution in Indonesia causes a large number of free radicals that have the potential to cause several diseases. To overcome this, antioxidantsare needed which function to prevent heart disease, anti-aging, strengthen the immune system, protect the nervous system, and nourish the eyes. One known antioxidant is - carotene. This study aimed to analyze the -carotene content of patikala fruit (Etlingera elatior (Jack) R.M. Smith) originating from Pangandaran (West Java) as an alternativesource of vitamin A and antioxidants. The form of research is experimental. The researchparameters were linearity test, detection limit and quantitation, system suitability test and determination of -carotene levels. Analysis of pure -carotene standard solution usingHPLC obtained the results that the maximum absorption occurred at max 450 nm, linearity (r) was 0.9999 or close to the value 1. Determination of -carotene content was carried out in duplicate and the retention time of patikala fruit was 8,564 minutes and 8,597 minutes, respectively. levels of -carotene obtained by 0.1 ppm or 10 mg/100 g, while the need for -carotene per day is 5-6 mg/100 g, consuming patikala fruit of 50 grams per day can meet the daily needs of -carotene.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve students"™ reading comprehension of narrative text through guided pictures. The research method used was classroom action research; it was conducted in two cycles. The subject for this research was year-8 students of SMPN 6 Pontianak class VIII B. In collecting the data, the writer observed the classroom activity during the implementation of this classroom action research by using an observation checklist and a field note to collect all the information.   The problems found in this study were students"™ difficulty in comprehending a long passage of reading narrative and it is hard to understand the question and vocabulary in the text. Therefore, the result showed that the Guided Picture was able to improve students' reading comprehension, which was seen in the improvement of the student's comprehension of narrative text and the improvement of the students' obtained scores. Moreover, the teaching media can be used in improving students"™ reading of the narrative text. The guided picture is recommended to be used as a medium in the teaching and learning process, especially in the context of reading with similar scope of setting and problem

Abstract

This research aims to see the trend during the pandemic on what undergraduate students choose a title for their research proposal and to identify the phenomenon on it. The method in this research is descriptive research. The research was conducted by gathering titles from March 2020 until December 2021 with 140 titles. By conducting the descriptive research with analysis, it was found that students who chose four language skills as their category of research were 39%,   language elements were 21%, teaching and learning 30%, English literature 10%, and English linguistic 0%. It was found that 40% of students chose descriptive research as their method of writing a research proposal. Most students chose development research with 21%. 16% of students chose action research. 14% of students chose case study research. 4% of the students chose pre-experimental research. 5% of students chose another method instead of those mentioned methods. In other words, many students chose descriptive research as their method to conduct a research proposal in the pandemic era.
