Abstract

This study aims to investigate the magnetic field around an AC blower by measuring the magnetic field intensity, temperature, and humidity at distances ranging from 1 to 10 meters from the source. Each measurement point was repeated 10 times using a magnetic field meter, barometer, and altimeter to obtain accurate and comparable data. The measurement results indicate that magnetic field intensity decreases significantly as the distance from the AC blower increases, while temperature and humidity remain relatively constant throughout the measurement range. The data obtained was then analyzed to examine the relationship between the magnetic field and the surrounding environmental conditions. This study provides important insights into the characteristics of the magnetic field and environmental parameters around the AC blower, which can serve as a reference for environmental physics management as well as health and safety aspects.

Abstract

Efficient data processing is crucial, especially in searching and sorting large volumes of student data. This study aims to analyze and compare the performance of four algorithms: Linear Search, Binary Search, Bubble Sort, and Quick Sort, in student data processing. The experiments were conducted using datasets of 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 student records. The results show that Quick Sort delivers the best performance in sorting tasks with the fastest execution time, while Binary Search demonstrates high efficiency in searching within sorted datasets. In contrast, Bubble Sort and Linear Search exhibit poor performance as the dataset size increases. This study recommends the use of Quick Sort for sorting and Binary Search for searching in large-scale data processing.

Abstract

Interest is a consistent tendency to pay attention to and be involved in certain activities that a person is drawn to. Interest has a significant influence on learning activities, especially in IPAS learning. The IPAS learning process at SDN 1 Bayan has not been running smoothly due to students’ lack of interest in participating in IPAS lessons. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of students’ learning interest and the factors that influence their interest in IPAS learning. This research was conducted at SDN 1 Bayan. The subjects in this study were the classroom teacher who teaches IPAS and the third-grade students. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The research results show that the factors influencing the learning interest of third-grade students at SDN 1 Bayan in IPAS learning include the distance between home and school being quite far, limited student pocket money, lack of parental attention to their children’s school needs, children experiencing broken homes, lack of parental affection, some students living with their grandparents—these are some of the reasons for the low learning interest, causing students to feel lazy during study, especially in IPAS lessons. Furthermore, the learning method often used is lecturing, and during the learning process, students tend to sit at the back because they feel bored. The way the teacher analyzes students’ learning difficulties in IPAS learning is by inviting struggling students to engage in discussions. This kind of encouragement plays an important role in fostering children's interest. This research is expected to serve as input for IPAS teachers in particular, and subject teachers in general, in overcoming students’ learning difficulties.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of character education through Civic Education (PKn) learning in Grade IV students at SDN 7 Sambik Bangkol for the 2024/2025 academic year. The research questions include: (1) How is character education implemented through the Civic Education subject at SDN 7 Sambik Bangkol? and (2) What are the obstacles in the implementation of character education through the Civic Education subject at SDN 7 Sambik Bangkol? The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consist of the school principal, Grade IV teacher, and students. The results of the study show that character education is integrated into Civic Education learning through various methods such as habituation, teacher role modeling, the insertion of character values into learning materials, and social activities such as communal work and mutual cooperation. The character values instilled include discipline, responsibility, cooperation, tolerance, and patriotism. Teachers play a major role as exemplary figures and the main facilitators in shaping students' character. However, the implementation of character education faces several obstacles, including differences in students' backgrounds that affect their acceptance of values, limited parental involvement in reinforcing character at home, and the negative influence of social media, which can undermine the moral values instilled at school. In addition, there are still teachers who do not fully understand the optimal approach and strategies for character-based learning. Therefore, synergy is needed between the school, teachers, parents, and the surrounding environment to support and strengthen the comprehensive and sustainable implementation of character education, particularly through the Civic Education subject.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning motivation of students in class IV B SDN 7 Sambik Bangkol in participating in the learning process. This can be seen from the lack of active participation of students during learning activities, such as not doing assignments, often playing when the teacher explains, and often coming late. Based on these problems, the purpose of this study is to find out the implementation of rewards and punishments in increasing student learning motivation and its impact on student behavior. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of class IV B students, homeroom teachers, and school principals. Data were analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the application of rewards such as verbal praise, giving stickers, and simple gifts can increase students' enthusiasm for learning. Punishments that are educational in nature such as reprimands and additional assignments are also effective in shaping student discipline. There are changes in student behavior in a more positive direction after the implementation of the reward and punishment system, such as increased attendance, discipline, and activeness in learning. This research suggests that teachers should be more consistent in applying rewards and punishments fairly and sustainably, as well as involving students in the implementation of rewards and punishments. such as increased attendance, discipline, and activeness in learning. This study suggests that teachers should be more consistent in applying rewards and punishments fairly and sustainably, and involve all subject teachers in the system for more optimal results.

Abstract

The development of youth liturgy in local churches plays a strategic role as a means of character education, significantly contributing to the formation of young people’s personality and spirituality. Liturgy functions not only as a religious ritual but also as a faith experience that holistically shapes moral, social, and spiritual values. This study aims to explore in depth how youth liturgy can be optimized as an effective medium for character formation through meaningful and contextual worship experiences. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with youth and worship leaders, participatory observations during worship services, and document analysis of liturgy practices at a GMIM Imanuel Sawangan congregation in the Airmadidi Satu region. The findings indicate that participatory liturgy designed to suit cultural contexts and youth needs enhances discipline, responsibility, and internalization of Christian values among young participants. Moreover, the use of musical and narrative elements within the liturgy proves effective in attracting active participation and deepening faith appreciation. Innovative liturgical practices that integrate contemporary music with relevant messaging create worship experiences that foster not only spirituality but also positive social character development. This study underscores the necessity of developing youth liturgy as a tool for character education to meet contemporary challenges and strengthen the role of local churches in shaping a generation rooted in integrity and Christian values. The practical implications of this research may serve as a reference for other churches in developing effective and adaptive youth liturgy models.
