Abstract

Critical thinking is a skill that students must have. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of critical thinking skills of grade X students of MA Miftahul Hidayah. The method used is descriptive method with data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires in the form of questionnaires and post-test questions related to critical thinking skills. The population in this study were all grade X students while the sample size was 19 students. Based on this study, it was found that the level of critical thinking of grade X students of MA Miftahul Hidayah was in the moderate category. Thus, better guidance needs to be done in order to improve students' critical thinking skills, for example by applying the project-based learning method which is believed to be more effective in encouraging the improvement of critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Selok Awar-Awar Village is located in the southern part of Pasirian Sub-district, Lumajang Regency, East Java, and is directly adjacent to the Indian Ocean to the south. This location provides great potential for the development of beach tourism, especially Watu Pecak Beach which offers natural beauty and culinary tourism, but the lack of security and safety facilities for tourists and MSME actors is a big problem for this tourism, considering that this tourism has great potential for natural disasters such as tsunamis and floods. The purpose of this service is to increase disaster awareness capacity and also improve the security, safety and comfort of tourists and tourism actors through the Village Command Center System (SYCORDES). The methods used are socialization, education and training on disaster mitigation, proposed zoning of tourist attractions, application of hygiene, production and marketing of products. To measure the success rate of the activity implementation, pre-test and post-test were conducted. Socialization conducted with activity partners and target partners resulted in collaborative support by BPBD and BMKG Lumajang District for the implementation of the kosabangsa activities. The results of education and training show that more than 44% of target partners have understood and practiced disaster mitigation with sycordes technology, zoning views of tourist attractions, application of hygiene, production and marketing. The activities carried out by the kosabangsa service team have succeeded in increasing the level of knowledge and skills of activity partners in increasing disaster awareness capacity and also increasing the security, safety and comfort of tourists and tourism actors.

Abstract

It is important for students to understand their role in connecting thought and action, because this is an important foundation in achieving personal success. In response to this problem, the team of lecturers in the Philosophy of Science, Logic and Interpersonal Communication courses carried out PKM in the form of increasing the critical thinking capacity of students in the IAKN Kupang Pastoral Counseling and Christian Psychology Study Program through seminar activities with the theme "Bridging the Worlds of Thought and Action". The activity implementation method consists of several stages. These stages are planning, implementation and evaluation. The final results of this activity show that there is a significant impact obtained by students, especially on understanding thoughts and how to align participants' thoughts with actions in the real world, so that students are able to bridge the gap between creative thoughts and real actions in everyday life.

Abstract

This community service program aims to make a direct contribution to the community. The main focus is to enhance participants' understanding of the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to support learning and earn income through micro-job services on various platforms. There were 40 participants in this activity, which was held in person on November 9, 2024 at Hangout Avenue, Sorong City. The methods used included the delivery of materials through lectures, question and answer sessions, and hands-on training in the use of AI applications and micro-job services. The results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding and skills in the use of digital technology to support the economy and education. This program has an important role in the empowerment of the Deaf community, students, and college students so that they can make the best use of emerging AI applications to complete microjobs on various platforms and increase their income

Abstract

Digitalization in the Society 5.0 era is a comprehensive transformation process that integrates digital technology into all aspects of human and societal life. It is not only about turning analog information into digital, but also about using digital data and technology to create new value, optimize processes, and improve the quality of life. Bonto Bulaeng Village has potential in dragon fruit plantations, diversification of agricultural products, and local handicrafts. However, MSME actors in this village still face challenges related to business management, marketing, and wider market access. This service aims to assist MSME actors in Bonto Bulaeng Village in improving entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, optimizing the use of digital technology for marketing, encouraging product diversification, increasing understanding of product packaging, and increasing the adaptive capacity of MSMEs to market changes. This is done through various interventions, such as training, mentoring, and socialization. It is hoped that with this service, MSMEs in Bonto Bulaeng Village can increase competitiveness, diversify products, and use digital technology for marketing, so that they can increase people's income and welfare.

Abstract

The community service program is an activity carried out to contribute to the community directly with the main objective of increasing understanding to the participants about digital leadership and providing direct training in the use of social media as a medium for da'wah. This activity was held at Nawa Flat, Sorong City, on September 16, 2024, attended by 30 Aisyiyah women participants. This activity was carried out offline in one meeting session using material delivery using the lecture method, question and answer sessions and direct training on the use of social media as a preaching medium using the Tiktok and Canva applications. The results obtained show an increase in participants' understanding and skills in utilizing digital technology for da'wah purposes. This program has an important meaning in empowering Aisyiyah women to be able to use social media effectively, so that it is expected to expand the reach of da'wah messages in the digital era.

Abstract

Waqf is frequently the source of family disputes that end up in court. The main reason of waqf conflicts is that waqf assets/land lack a proper legal form such as a Waqf Pledge Deed (AIW) from the Religious Affairs Office (KUA) or a Waqf Certificate from the National Land Agency (BPN). To receive the AIW, the community must manually register, which is a laborious process. To decrease bureaucracy, the Ministry of Religion has launched e-AIW, a digital waqf land registration application that will make it easier to receive the AIW. The current issue is that the application has only been disseminated to the KUA and has not reached the community directly owing to the unavailability. This service intends to provide technical guidance to the community on how to register waqf land via the e-AIW application. The method employed is delivery, practice with the e-AIW program, questions and answers, pre-test, and post-test. The outcomes of this technical guidance activity revealed a positive response from the participants. After being adequately led, participants' grasp of how to utilize the e-AIW application improved, as seen by the average post-test value of those who replied correctly, which was 89.4%. Furthermore, the findings of interviews with various participants revealed that this technical guidance gives a very simple way to utilize the e-AIW

Abstract

The JE virus can be transmitted from animals to humans through a vector in the form of the Culex tritaeniorhynchus mosquito. JE virus infection attacks parts of the brain and can occur because the body does not have JE-specific antibodies. Vaccination has been shown to be an effective method in preventing JE disease and is given to children aged 9 months to 15 years Metode dalam pengabdian ini yaitu dengan memberikan edukasi mengenai vaksinasi JE, dengan melakukan persiapan dan pelaksanaan yang telah disetujui oleh mitra. Adapun hasil dari setelah masyarakat diberikan edukasi tentang vaksinasi JE terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan yang dapat dilihat dari hasil kuisioner pre test pengetahuan sebesar 45% dan meningkat setelah diberikan pengetahuan sebesar 84,45%. The successful Community Service Program can be seen from the results of the level of community knowledge. The suggestion in the next service is that it can be continued with JE immunization monitoring which can be seen from the maternal and child health book, so that it can be seen whether the coverage of JE vaccination has increased from the vaccine target of the Tambelan Sampit health center.

Abstract

This community service aims to raise gender awareness within households in Oeltua Village, Taebenu District, Kupang Regency. The Women's and Children's Protection Agency (P3A) of East Nusa Tenggara Province reported a high incidence of violence against women, mostly domestic violence. Community service was conducted by lecturers and students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Kupang, through lectures and counseling methods. The results showed an increased understanding among participants about the importance of the father's role in child-rearing and equitable distribution of household tasks. The involvement of fathers in child-rearing not only alleviates the burden on women but also positively impacts child development. Education and campaigns about gender equality and women's empowerment are needed to reduce domestic violence cases and achieve gender role balance within families.

Abstract

Teunbaun is one of the places located in West Amarasi District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, where the majority of residents are Christian. The family as the smallest institution that builds a society is experiencing the biggest challenges along with developments over time, such as the emergence of problems or conflicts within the family, especially for married couples, causing arguments and domestic violence (KDRT) which will ultimately lead to infidelity or infidelity. divorce. Of course, these problems will psychologically affect a person's mental health because without realizing it, these various conditions have psychological effects such as anxiety disorders, depression, stress. This PKM activity was carried out with the aim of providing a good and correct understanding to married couples from the GMIT Maranata Teunbaun congregation regarding overcoming and managing problems within the family in the form of seminars and mentoring. The evaluation results show that the participants felt satisfied and had a good understanding of the seminar material presented and that the PKM activities met their expectations.
