Abstract

Potehi puppetry is an art performance that uses puppets from South China, which came to Indonesia in the 16th and 17th centuries. The development of these puppet shows experienced ups and downs, especially the prohibition of everything with Chinese nuances, in 1967 and improved in 2000. The preservation and continuity of potehi puppets are also carried out by the Fu He An community, Gudo, Jombang, led by Toni Harsono. Toni Harsono's motivation to develop this community stems from his concern about the condition of many damaged potehi puppets, the scarcity of authentic potehi puppets, and his desire to re-modify them so they can be preserved for the future. Toni Harsono's efforts have been welcomed by academics from within and outside the country, who have conducted various studies on potehi puppets. The public has also carried out the preservation and sustainability of potehi puppets through social media. However, the Fu He An community still needs to work on accessing information and understanding cultural digitization, especially in the context of making documentary films. Therefore, this community service activity aims to create a series of documentary films with the initial theme of the history of the making and character formation of the Jombang; Gudo potehi puppets, and make a Instagram account and website Wayang Potehi, Gudo. Keywords: cultural digitalization, sustainability, preservation, wayang potehi

Abstract

Abstract Digital literacy refers to a person's ability to use digital technology effectively, including an understanding of how the technology functions, the ability to evaluate and understand digital information, and skills in interacting with digital devices and platforms for specific purposes such as communication, information retrieval, and content creation. This includes an understanding of the basic concepts of digital technology, online security, copyright, data privacy, as well as the ability to solve problems and adapt to rapid technological developments. Digital literacy has become increasingly important in today's digital era where digital technology permeates almost every aspect of daily life and is key to participating effectively in a technology-driven society and economy. Digital literacy assistance in developing entrepreneurship is a followup to the training given to residents of Tunjungsekar Subdistrict. From the team's observations, the residents in RT 03 RW 04, Tunjungsekar Village, still needs assistance after training was held for its members. The lack of training activities encouraged the team to carry out service activities. It is hoped that by providing digital literacy assistance in entrepreneurship, their knowledge and enthusiasm for opening a business will increase, so that they can help improve the economy/welfare of their families.

Abstract

Bedengan Campground (BPB) Selorejo, Malang Regency, offers beautiful landscapes and is a priority for rural development with a mission of conserving nature, culture, and local wisdom. Until now, there have been no tourist services other than camping, while the potential of local nature needs to be developed for diversification and productivity of services. This initiative aims to assist managers in enhancing their guiding skills and launching new nature-based educational tourism programs to enrich outdoor classes, utilizing local resources, specifically: a) river biodiversity exploration for water quality monitoring (River Adventure Tour) and b) agroforestry exploration for watershed conservation (Agroforestry Adventure Tour). The program was initiated by inviting 20 high school, junior high school, and elementary school students accompanied by biology teachers, curriculum coordinators, or counselors. The eco-tourism program took place in three phases in September, October, and November 2024, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM WIB, with a half-day session for elementary school students. Leaflets were distributed in soft copy format prior to the tour. The managers underwent training in guiding skills. Subsequently, the BPB managers were involved in the implementation of the educational tour at three schools, starting as observers and eventually becoming guides. The results of the development and initiation of eduwisata show that the river exploration and agroforestry exploration tour packages can be carried out smoothly, with students showing great enthusiasm, satisfying all participants, and achieving the set recreational and learning targets. All teachers expressed appreciation and rated both eduwisata programs as highly engaging, relevant, with a clear mission, and enjoyable for enhancing students' knowledge and skills.
