Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of multilingual media in improving literacy in class II students of SDK Joge. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were 16 class II students of SDK Joge. The data collection methods used in this study were observation, interview and documentation methods. The data in this study were analyzed using Milles and Huberman data analysis techniques consisting of 1) data collection, 2) data reduction, 3) data presentation and 4) drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that after the multilingual media, students experienced an increase in vocabulary use, an increase in communication, an increase in writing skills, an increase in learning interest, an increase in student confidence in learning and strengthening student memory. Thus, it can be concluded that through student activities observing multilingual learning media, students re-observing the contents of the multilingual media that they have observed and word-composing activities can improve literacy in class II students at SDK Joge.

Abstract

This research explores teachers' experiences and views in implementing Merdeka Curriculum at SDN 105 Pekanbaru. Through semi-structured interviews with two teachers, this study found that Merdeka Curriculum offers a more flexible and student-centered approach, allowing the adjustment of teaching materials and learning methods according to local needs and student abilities. Although there are challenges in implementation, such as difficulties in creating learning media and the need for a variety of more creative methods, collaboration between teachers, the use of technology, and student motivation are key to success. This research concludes that Merdeka Curriculum has the potential to improve the quality of education at SDN 105 Pekanbaru, with opportunities for innovation, collaboration and great improvements in the quality of education.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the numeracy skills of grade 1 students at SD Inpres Dhereisa in learning mathematics using the Smart Counting Board. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research consists of 2 cycles. The subjects of this research were 25 grade 1 students at SD Inpres Dhereisa, consisting of 12 male students and 13 female students. The data collection method uses tests. The data collected in this research is in the form of quantitative data, namely the main data in the research in the form of important assessment data on numeracy ability tests. The results of research on the use of smart board media for counting in mathematics learning with addition and subtraction material from 1-30 stated that it increased after using smart board media from pre-cycle to cycle 1 by 12% and obtained an average pre-cycle score of 52.4 to cycle one. -an average of 64.4 or in the sufficient category. From cycle 1 to cycle 2 there was an increase of 17.2% and obtained an average score of 81.60 or in the very good category. Meanwhile, classically there was a very significant increase, namely reaching 100% from the KKM determination of 70%. This indicates that the use of smart numeracy board media is very effective in improving numeracy skills in grade 1 students at SD Inpres Dhereisa.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the history and development of Sumatra Thawalib as one of the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, as well as its role in the transformation of modern Islamic education in the archipelago. The research method used is a historical method, with a descriptive-analytical approach based on literature studies and relevant archival documentation. The research results show that Sumatra Thawalib played an important role in the change in the Islamic education system from traditional to modern at the beginning of the 20th century. This institution plays a pioneering role in adopting a more systematic curriculum, introducing general sciences, and spreading Islamic reform ideas in Indonesia. The discussion in this research reveals that the development of Sumatra Thawalib not only had an impact on the transformation of education in West Sumatra, but also made a significant contribution to the intellectual movement and socio-religious reform in Indonesia more broadly. In conclusion, Sumatra Thawalib has succeeded in becoming a symbol of Islamic educational reform that combines Islamic values with advances in modern science, as well as becoming a foundation for the development of other Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the students' opinions on the use of the QuizWhizzer and Wordwall websites for completing assignments in class, and it seeks to describe the students' responses regarding the ease of use of QuizWhizzer. Describing the influence of QuizWhizzer on students' learning motivation. Describing the challenges faced by students in using QuizWhizzer. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The descriptive qualitative method was chosen to analyze research objects that cannot be measured with numbers. The reason the researcher used this method is that it is suitable for explaining students' responses to the use of the QuizWhizzer website as a learning medium. Researchers collected data through observations and questionnaires, along with interviews with eleventh-grade students. The results of this study indicate that many students provided positive feedback regarding the use of the QuizWhizzer website as a medium for classroom learning activities. The results of this study are useful as a reference for future research on other groups of students, such as those with different learning styles or students with varying academic abilities.

Abstract

In the context of increasingly competitive higher education, students often face various emotional and psychological challenges that can disrupt their mental and spiritual well-being. The approach of pastoral counseling offers holistic support that integrates modern psychological principles with Christian faith values. This study aims to examine the role of pastoral counseling in building the spirituality of Christian students amid academic pressure. Through a literature review, this research investigates the methods and techniques used in pastoral counseling to assist students in managing stress, discovering their faith identity, and deepening their relationship with God. The findings indicate that pastoral counseling can serve as an effective means of enhancing the spiritual resilience of students, as well as providing them with the necessary tools to cope with academic pressures. Approaches involving prayer, spiritual reflection, and the reinforcement of Christian identity have proven helpful for students in finding meaning and purpose in life amid challenges. Additionally, involvement in church communities is highlighted as a crucial aspect of supporting the process of recovery and spiritual growth. This research underscores the necessity for collaboration between educational institutions and churches in developing comprehensive pastoral counseling services, so that Christian students can grow in a balanced manner in both academic and spiritual aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the urgency of innovative learning models in improving student achievement. Innovative learning models not only improve academic results, but also facilitate the development of critical and creative skills of students. This study uses a qualitative approach. The results of the study indicate that the urgency of innovative learning models has a positive impact on student achievement, which is reflected in innovative learning models, namely, problem-based learning models, contextual, teaching and learning models, cooperative learning models, PAKEM learning models, project-based models, e-learning models, inquiry models and technology-based models. Abstract

The curriculum is a systematically organized learning guideline that serves as a reference or guide for educators in conducting the learning process in schools. Moreover, the Merdeka Curriculum includes new models, methods, and learning strategies, emphasizing creativity and the use of evolving technology. The aim of this research is to analyze how technology is utilized in the learning process at SDIT Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. This research can serve as a reference for reviewing the use of technology in the learning process at schools that have implemented the Merdeka Curriculum. The research model used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, where data collection techniques involve interviews. Data were collected from three samples, consisting of homeroom teachers for grades 2, 4, and 6 at SDIT Darul Salam Pekanbaru. The data analysis method employed in this study is grounded theory. The results of the interviews show that the use of technology at SDIT Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru is quite frequent during the learning process, with devices such as projectors, laptops, and speakers being used. The use of technology in the learning process helps teachers in teaching and has a positive impact, as students become more active and interactive. Additionally, the school supports the use of technology in learning by providing the necessary facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges faced by teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools in Pekanbaru. The Merdeka Curriculum is an educational innovation focused on differentiated learning and character development aligned with the Pancasila Student Profile. Although this curriculum offers flexibility and freedom in the learning process, teachers still face various challenges in understanding and applying it in the classroom. A qualitative method was used in this study by collecting data through surveys and interviews. The results of the study show that while some teachers understand the basic concepts of the Merdeka Curriculum, difficulties remain in developing learning materials, grasping new concepts, and dealing with limited resources and time. Support from schools and the education department, especially in the form of continuous training and adequate facilities, is essential to ensure the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of project-based learning planning on students' critical thinking skills. Using a quantitative research method with an experimental approach, this study involved high school students divided into an experimental group that applied project-based learning and a control group that used conventional learning methods. The results showed a significant improvement in critical thinking skills in the experimental group. These findings indicate that project-based learning can be an effective alternative for enhancing students' critical thinking skills.
