Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the SLM in MTsN 2 Kediri City , the benefits of applying SLM, the constraints faced , and to analyze the implementation of the SLM with reading theory from Mortimer Adler and Charles Van Doren. The research method used was qualitative with the type of case study research. The subjects of this study were the school principal, deputy school principal in the curriculum, Indonesian Language teachers, and students. Data obtained through in- depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Next data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model which included the stages of selecting data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. To check the validity of the data, researchers extended the observation and triangulation of sources and data collection techniques. The results of this study are: 1) The SLM in MtsN 2 Kediri City is implemented through reading corner activities; Wall magazine; environmental conditioning that is full of motivational sentences; habit of reading the Qur'an; as well as assignments on Indonesian Language subjects, the form of assignments such as: summarizing some types of books such as old novels, biographies, fantasy stories and popular knowledge; 2) The benefits of implementing this program are students being diligent in reading, trained in composing sentences, getting to know the types of books, and increasing their knowledge; 3) The constraints faced this program are the lack of available reading material in the library; students have difficulty in getting the type of books required; and difficulties in summarizing thick books; and 4) The implementation of SLM in MTsN 2 Kediri City is categorized in the third level of reading theory of Mortimer Adler and Charles Van Doren. It can be seen from the type of task assigned for participants learners to review book until the analysis, it is to display the advantages as well as the shortage of books read.

Abstract

Madrasas/schools that have certain advantages become choices, while those that are mediocre are increasingly being abandoned. In this situation, an effective madrasah competitive strategy will determine its competitiveness and survival. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims to uncover and find: (1) analysis of the internal and external environment of madrasas, and (2) strategies for increasing the competitiveness of madrasas. This research uses a case study type approach with a multi-site design. The research locus chosen was MI Ma'arif KH. Siddiq and MI Al-Hidayah Jember. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The collected data is then analyzed simultaneously, both at single sites and across sites, with the following techniques: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. All data were tested for validity through: feasibility test, transferability test, dependability test, and confirmability test. The results of this study find that first, the external environment of MI in the region faces a situation of intense competition because there are many SD/MI in the vicinity with a relatively close distance. Internally, MI is perceived as a formal educational institution oriented to religious education. However, each MI has its own uniqueness which is capitalized as a source of their respective advantages. Second, improving the competitive strategy chosen by MI is strengthening morals, accelerating Al-Qur'an learning, optimizing academic and non-academic achievements, and standardizing infrastructure.

Abstract

Humans are given the power to navigate this nature so that they can benefit from this natural wealth such as by cultivating tilapia. Not only fish farming, humans can get results, but also with trade or commerce which for the students of the Nurul Haramain Narmada Islamic boarding school by forming a boarding school cooperative, and cultivating agricultural land, so that entrepreneurship or entrepreneurship has a positive impact on the students of the Nurul Haraimain Islamic boarding school and has positive implications for the surrounding community. God has bestowed various favors, besides humans being able to enjoy natural resources, the produce of the earth can also be used as a means of connecting between regions. This is how God bestows on humans to worship Him and achieve prosperity in life. The use of natural resources discussed in the Qur'an is a form of depiction of entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs as achieving balance in human life in the world and the hereafter, therefore entrepreneurship-based education is very important to be practiced, especially in the Nurul Haramain Narmada Islamic boarding school and it turns out that entrepreneurship-based education have a positive impact both among students and the surrounding community.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menemukan geneologi keterhubungan keilmuan Ponpes Darussalam Gontor dengan Universitas Al-Azhar, Mesir. Jenis penilitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan analisis kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan sosiologi-historis. Aspek sosiologis digunakan untuk menelusuri gejala maupun kausalitas sosial yang mengiringi tranmisi keilmuan yang terjadi antara dua lembaga, sedangkan pendekatan historis digunakan untuk menelusuri sumber-sumber pada masa lampau, yang berupa arsip atau dokumen-dokumen. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data-data yang diambil dari artikel dan buku yang membicarakan tentang subjek yang dibahas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, geneologi terjadi melalui, pertama, Al-Azhar dipilih dan dijadikan role model dalam pengembanan keilmuan dalam merintis lembaga pendidikan model pesantren. Kedua, pola duta belajar ke Universitas Al-Azhar dengan cara mengirimkan para santri untuk melanjutkan studi dengan skema kemitraan strategis sehingga para santri mendapatkn beasiswa dari Al-Azhar atau mandiri. Ketiga, pengembangan kurikulum dan bahan ajar dengan mengacu beberapa karya dan literatur klasik dari Al-Azhar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the representation of moral values ​​as role models. This research is included in the qualitative approach research using the Semiotics Analysis technique which was initiated by Roland Barthes. Arbain's film as an object of research with content analysis techniques that focus on its moral values ​​combined with the religious values ​​contained in it, both of which are one unit. From this research, the results obtained include religious values ​​contained examples in studying the history of the Prophet, the obligation to seek knowledge, taking ablution, praying in congregation and the power of a prayer. While the social values ​​that we can learn are always alert in helping, smiling as a noble personality, greeting early, loving Muslim brothers and practicing wise leadership values. This Arbain film is very worthy to be used as an example and watched by a wide audience with the hope that the values ​​of the teachings of the role model of the Prophet Muhammad can be conveyed in a simple way and can be well received by our children and the wider community in general

Abstract

Learning the interpretation of the Qur'an more precisely on thematic interpretation material, still faces obstacles in the field, including not being able to produce output that can use interpretation well. The purpose of this research is to understand: (1) the application of a communicative approach in learning interpretation of Qur’an at Al Jihad Islamic Boarding School Surabaya for female, (2) the obstacles faced by teachers in applying a communicative approach in learning interpretation of Qur’an at Al Jihad Islamic Boarding School Surabaya fro female. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Research data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using Miles and Huberman's model, are: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, (4) concluding. The results showed that the application of the communicative approach through several steps, there are: short dialogues, exercises, questions, communicative expressions, analysis and concluding, then evaluation. And also there several obstacles in the application of the communicative approach, it is: the lack of confidence in students in expressing the results of thematic interpretations orally in Arabic, there are difficulties in developing the delivery of some material into a communicative approach, and the last is the lack of time available for learning interpretation of holy Qur’an. The conclusion of this study shows that a communicative approach is needed in learning interpretation of holy Qur’an on thematic interpretation material to be more effective.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an is Allah’s word. It contains guidance, conceptual basis, primary sources law and guidance of life for Muslims. The functionalization of the Qur’an requires the reader's ability to recognize letters, readings, language, and insight into the Qur'an. This study aims to determine the learning model of the Qur’an in the Quranic Fun Camp (QFC) program, which the Darussalam Gontor modern cottage family carries out in Probolinggo City. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Collecting data using the technique of servation and interviews. The data analysis technique used a descriptive-exploratory model involving three analysis components: data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. This study's conclusions are: (1) QFC held al-Qur'an learning activities because they were worry about the tendency of some of the millennial generations spend much time on gadgets; (2) The learning model of the Qur'an in QFC did not initially use standard standardized methods, but in the end, it was decided to use the Qiro'ati method. Abstract

This research is a type of phenomenological research aimed at describing the position and role of the Darussalam pesantren as a medium for creating a positive image of SMK Darussalam Karangpucung Cilacap. The data in this study were collected using interview, observation and documentation techniques. After the data was collected, data analysis was carried out using the data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results showed that there were five roles played by Darussalam pesantren when carrying out its function as a social media for SMK Darussalam which was used to create a positive image of SMK. First, pesantren Darussalam was involved in implementing habituation activities at SMK. Second, the pesantren Darussalam has a role to produce alumni of SMK Darussalam who have the ability to preach in the community. Third, the Darussalam pesantren is believed to be the organizer of religious activities at SMK Darussalam. Fourth, the Darussalam pesantren was involved by the SMK in activities that were attended by the student's guardians. Fifth, the Darussalam pesantren was given facilities by the SMK to organize religious activities for the communities around the SMK. The five roles of pesantren as media have been successfully played so as to create a positive image of SMK Darussalam in the eyes of the public. The implication of creating a positive image is that there is always an increase in the acquisition of the number of new students at SMK Darussalam. The main factor that supports the success of the pesantren is due to the harmonious relationship between the pesantren and SMK and the community. This has shown a relationship between Islam, the media and society.

Abstract

Reforms and decentralization helped to accelerate progress towards achieving progress. Educational autonomy needs to be maximized in balancing the currents of the global climate. The ability of educational institutions to adapt to the global climate is very much needed. So that when faced with the current Covid-19 outbreak, schools can survive and run stably. The key component in the management of education is the curriculum. The role of the curriculum as the brain of the operationalization of the institution can be designed creatively and independently. Achievement-based independent curriculum as a manifestation of educational autonomy. This research focuses on the design and model of achievement-based independent curriculum development. The aim is to find an achievement-based independent curriculum design and model in boarding schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. The results of the study found that the curriculum development design at SMA al Hikmah Boarding School was based on the competency standards of shalih, muslih, and optimal academic graduates. Meanwhile, the development step consists of four components, including philosophical construction, strengthening the foundation based on vision-mission-objectives, designing innovation programs, and producing program innovation outputs. Meanwhile, the Al Hikmah Boarding School curriculum model is independent-intergartive. The model by integrating the program into graduate competency standards is in the form of a life proposal and leadership character.

Abstract

In this piper the author tries to formulate Islamic education in overcoming the spirituality crisis of modern humans whose foundation is scientism. It is hoped that the Islamic spirit can fill the fragility of the human heart and soul to return to the path of Islamic guidance from the frenetic hedonism and hegemony of the digitalization era. The method used in this research is library research and multy stake random sampling survei, the data collection is taken from books, magazines, newspapers, articles and so on, then analyzed using data analysis techniques. The research results describe; portrait of modern humans in the era of digitalization in the view of Islam, the tools needed by modern humans in the era of digitalization and the construction of Islamic education in the era of digitalization. The results of this research are none other than one of the offers to manage all the potential possessed by every human person in the process of self-actualization in the era of digitalization and building relevant and humane Islamic education constructs.
