Abstract

Developing children's religious character begins with introducing them to Hajj values at a young age. This article focuses at an interactive outing class session that TK Wulil Amri planned at the Replika Ka'bah Sudiang to teach the fundamentals of Hajj customs. Children engage in simplified Hajj traditions including Tawaf, Sa'i, and Arafah during this activity. The findings demonstrate that the approach effectively raises kids' interest in studying religious principles. It also strengthens their understanding of unity, discipline, and obedience in a way that suits their developmental stage. This study provides concrete evidence of how experiential learning can make Islamic education more engaging and meaningful. By focusing on enjoyable and practical methods, this article contributes to innovations in Islamic education, especially in creating effective strategies for early childhood learning. For future research, this approach can be expanded to other educational levels, such as primary or secondary schools, to investigate its efficacy at various developmental stages. Comparative research could also be done to investigate the influence of manasik haji simulations in various cultural or socioeconomic circumstances.

Abstract

Islam-based Early Childhood Education (PAUD) plays a crucial role in shaping children's character and identity by integrating Islamic values with local culture. This study aims to analyze how Islamic values and local culture are incorporated into the PAUD curriculum, identify implementation strategies, and examine the challenges and opportunities involved. Additionally, it explores the impact of this integration on children's character and identity development while providing recommendations for educators and policymakers to enhance the effectiveness of Islam-based early childhood education. This research employs a literature study method, analyzing various sources related to the PAUD curriculum, Islamic values, and local culture. The data analysis approach includes data reduction, classification, and interpretation. The findings indicate that integrating Islamic values such as tawhid, noble character, and worship with local cultural values such as community cooperation (gotong royong), love for the homeland, and mutual respect can create a holistic and contextual curriculum. This curriculum not only supports children's intellectual development but also fosters strong character and a deep sense of identity. However, challenges arise in aligning local cultural values with Islamic teachings and addressing resource limitations, particularly among educators who may not fully grasp the concept of this integration. Despite these challenges, the integration of Islamic values and local culture positively impacts children's character development and strengthens community participation in the educational process. To address these challenges, this study recommends developing a more flexible curriculum and enhancing educator capacity. These efforts will contribute to producing a generation that is intelligent, of noble character, and deeply rooted in its cultural identity.

Abstract

Childhood is considered the optimal period due to the brain's flexibility, which enhances the ability to learn new languages. This study specifically focuses on the age factor in second language learning and aims to prove the assumption that a child's critical age correlates with their language acquisition ability. This is a quantitative study with a descriptive approach, using data processing software, SPSS, and subsequently described verbally. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 21 students from Ulya classes 1 and 2 at TPQ Darut Tarbiyah As-Sa'adah, comprising 17 female students and four male students. The results of the product-moment calculation showed that the calculated r-value was lower than the table r-value, specifically 0.433 < 0.829. This indicates no influence between the variables of age and language acquisition. Therefore, age does not affect a child's ability to acquire a second language among students in Ulya classes 1 and 2 at TPQ Darut Tarbiyah As-Sa’adah for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze teachers' strategies in strengthening the values of religious moderation in PAI learning through the use of digital media, as well as to identify the challenges and their impacts on students' religious attitudes. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include observing teaching and learning activities, conducting in-depth interviews with fifth and sixth-grade teachers and students, and documenting teaching materials and digital learning media. Data analysis is conducted descriptively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results show that PAI teachers at MI Fattahul Huda have implemented various digital strategies to strengthen religious moderation, including thematic YouTube videos, interactive quizzes using Quizizz and Kahoot!, student digital projects on tolerance themes, the development of digital teaching materials, and practices of digital religious literacy. Teachers also use moments of religious and national holidays as a means to strengthen peaceful and inclusive Islamic values. These strategies have proven to enhance students' active participation, reinforce the understanding of tolerance values, and cultivate a critical attitude towards religious content on social media. Thus, digital media can serve as an effective tool for instilling values of religious moderation in a contextual and in-depth manner from an early age.

Abstract

This article aims to identify the values of religious moderation in Gurindam Dua Belas by Raja Ali Haji and examine its contribution to the field of Islamic education. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing content analysis of the verses in the Gurindam, which is interpreted based on the principles of religious moderation outlined by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. The findings reveal that Gurindam Dua Belas conveys strong moral messages that remain highly relevant in contemporary life, particularly the values of tawassuth (balance), tasâmuh (tolerance), i'tidal (justice), and shura (deliberation). These values align with the objectives of character education and the development of Aqidah Akhlak learning in schools. Furthermore, the work makes practical contributions by offering opportunities to integrate Islamic values into Indonesian language learning, incorporating Islamic nuances, and exploring Islamic Religious Education subjects. Thus, Gurindam Dua Belas functions not only as a Malay literary heritage but also as an educational medium to instill moderate, inclusive, and virtuous attitudes among students. This article emphasizes the significance of revitalizing local literary works as contextual learning resources to foster Islamic character, aligning with the vision of Islamic education in Indonesia.
