Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using comic strips media to the writing skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Pematangsiantar in narrative text 2024/2025 academic year. The research aimed to determine the effect of using Comic Strips Teaching media as generic structure in narrative text at eighth grade of SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar. The objective of the study was to find out whether this media could significantly improve students' writing skills in narrative text. The research utilized a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, which included both a pre-test and post-test. The population consisted of 330 students, from which two classes were selected via cluster purposive sampling. The experimental group received instruction using comic strips teaching media, while the control group used youtube teaching media. Data collection involved administering pre-tests and post-tests to both the experimental and control groups. Findings showed that the students in the experimental group achieved significantly higher post-test scores compared to the control group, indicating that the comic strips teaching media to the writing skills in narrative text. It can be proven by the following result: The degree of freedom (df) is 58 and the t-table at the level of significant 5% for a two-tailed test is 1,315. The researcher found the pre- test score of experimental (Ma) was 67,13, which increased to 78 in the post-test. Then pre-test mean score of control class, was 69,03 and went up 75,4. It meant that using the guided story pyramid strategy had a greater effect than the conventional strategy. After calculating the data from the preceding point, the researcher discovered that the testing hypothesis shows the t-test (4,591) is higher than the t-table (1,315). Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and Null Hypothesis (H0) is rejected. As a result, it is possible to conclude that using Comic strips teaching media has an effect on students’ ability in writing narrative text at grade VIII SMP Negeri 3 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the impact of the Flipped Classroom teaching model on the reading comprehension of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Siantar. The Flipped Classroom is an innovative teaching approach where students engage with learning materials, such as videos, outside of class, allowing class time to be used for interactive activities, discussions, and deeper learning. The research focused on students' comprehension of narrative texts, comparing the performance of an experimental group (using the Flipped Classroom model) to a control group. The findings indicated a significant improvement in the reading comprehension skills of students in the experimental group. The pre-test mean score for the experimental group was 60.8, which increased to 87.8 after the intervention. This suggests that the Flipped Classroom model can positively impact students' ability to understand and analyze narrative texts. While the model offers flexibility, allowing students to learn at their own pace and revisit the material as needed, challenges such as the need for access to mobile devices and internet connectivity may hinder its effectiveness for some students. Despite these limitations, the Flipped Classroom contributed to increased student engagement, improved communication, and a more interactive learning environment. This study highlights the potential benefits of the Flipped Classroom model in enhancing students' reading comprehension and suggests further exploration of its implementation in different educational contexts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether the effect of small group discussion teaching strategy to the reading comprehension of grade eight students of SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. This research uses quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research methodology. The data from this study where collected and obtained through tests. The sample this research the VIII -8 as the experimental class and the VIII-9 as the control class. the test was carried out with pre-test and post-test to students using small group discussion teaching strategy. The research data and result findings of calculation, the research found the mean score in experimental class from pre-test to post-test are 52,66 and 79,83. than score in control class from pre-test and post-test are 46,83 and 57,16. the statistical hypothesis testing findings sample t-test are indicated ,at a level of significance of 5% (=0,05), that the t -test was 4,848 whereas t-table was 1.671 , or t-test>t-table .it can be concluded that the value of t-test was higher than the value of t-table .therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the Null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected .so, its mean that there is a significant effect of use small group discussion teaching method to the reading comprehension of grade eight students of SMP Negeri 7Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

This research was carried out to find out the Effect of Picture and Picture Media on Understanding Writing Procedure Text at Grade Eight students of SMP HKBP Batu 4. The research methodology used in this research was a quantitative method. The population of this research was at grade VIII of SMP HKBP Batu 4 in the academic year 2024/2025. The researcher took two classes as the sample. The samples were VIII-A as experimental group consisted of 25 students and VIII-B as control group consisted of 25 students. Data collection was carried out using essay tests. The data were obtained by using pre-test and post-test given to both groups, score were calculated and analyzed using excel and manual method. The research results showed that the average score of the experimental class was a pre- test score of 63 and post-test score of 82.68. Meanwhile, the average score for the control class was a pre-test score of 57.56 and post-test 74.12. The t-test calculation shows that (8.8>2.068) at a significance level of 2.5%, a two-sided test means the null hypothesis (HO) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This means that the effect of Picture and Picture on Understanding Writing Procedure Text at Grade Eight Students of SMP HKBP Batu 4.

Abstract

Team Pair Solo (TPS) is a method of cooperative learning in which the students do problem first as a team, then with a partner, and finally on their own. It is designed to motivate the students to tackle and succeed at problem which initially were beyond their ability. And then all students take individual quizzes on the material. The purpose in this research is to answer and investigate the effect of Team Pair Solo technique in teaching speaking related to speaking skill. In this research, quasi-experimental design used pre-test and post-test design. The writers given the test of two classes as subject, so there were control class and experimental class as compared. Despite this, the writers used quantitative approaches because the analyzed data was homogeny. The result of homogeneity test is to know the equivalent in capability before the writers give the treatment to the experimental group. Based on the research finding, it is found that the statistic computation from the post-test support the hypothesis and the students taught by using Team Pair Solo technique have better scores in speaking than those taught by using non-Team Pair Solo. This finding means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. It is proved from the computation where computed F-value (23.196) was higher than the critical F-value (4.098) in significant level 0.05. The t-value shows 4.816, the sig. shows 0.000. The significance level is lower than 0.05 (0.000<0.050). Therefore, it can be concluded that Think Pair Solo technique is effective in teaching speaking.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi atas munculnya fenomena perekonomian di pondok pesantren Pondok pesantren memiliki potensi pengembangkan ekonomi. Namun, disayangkan ekonomi yang begitu melimpah belum dikelola secara syariah menurut maqashid syariah. Begitupula, mata pelajaran ilmu ekonomi yang diajarkan belum mengacu pada konsep syariah dalam perspektif maqashid syariah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami potensi penerapan pengembangan dan pemberdayaan ekonomi syariah di Pondok pesantren di Ponpes An Nur Tompobulu, Kabupaten Maros. Berbagai sumber daya yang ada di pesantren bisa diberdayakan sebagai fasilitas dalam penerapan dan pengembangan pemahaman dan praktik ekonomi syariah dalam kegiatan ekonomi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomologi yang bersifat deskriptif analitis dan induktif. Objek penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa pondok pesantren. Namun, lokasi utama penelitian berada di Pondok Pesanrtren An Nur Tompobulu Maros. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengembangan dan pemberdayaan ekonomi syariah bisa dalam bentuk penerapan di pondok pesantren yang bisa dirincikan menjadi beberapa hal, di antaranya pendidikan prinsip ekonomi syariah, akad dan kerjasama ekonomi syariah, akuntansi pesantren serta penginapan syariah, kuliner dan wisata halal. Sementara dalam bentuk pengembangan ekonomi syariah, pesantren sebagai lembaga yang dikenal dengan kemandiriannya bisa menjadikan Pondok pesantren sebagai laboratorium pengkajian ekonomi syariah, baik pada kitab fiqh klasik maupun pada kitab fiqh modern, membentuk forum bisnis syariah, menjadi islamic inspirator pengembangan ekonomi berbasis syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi yang bersifat deskriptif analitis dan induktif dengan menggali data untuk menemukan hal-hal mendasar dari fenomena, realitas maupun pengalaman. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan memberi kontribusi terhadap pengembangan ekonomi syariah dalam lingkup pesantren. Seluruh pemangku kepentingan diharapkan bisa mengaplikasikan serta menyebarkan pentingnya ekonomi syariah berbasis maqashid syariah.

Abstract

Media sosial adalah alat komunikasi interaktif yang memfasilitasi interaksi dan umpan balik dua arah, dan digunakan hampir di setiap lapisan masyarakat. Di hampir setiap bidang masyarakat, media sosial telah menjadi hal yang penting, terutama bagi kaum muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kontrol diri terhadap penggunaan media sosial pada siswa SMK Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survey deskriptif. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XI di SMK Jakarta Timur. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti yaitu kuesioner/angket. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini mengggunakan uji t, yang dilakukan setelah diketahui uji normalitas, homogenitas dan linieritas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai t: Diketahui t hitung sebesar 4.085 > 2.035, sehingga dapat disimpulakn bahwa variabel Kontrol Diri (X) berpengaruh terhadap variabel Penggunaan Media Sosial (Y).

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, dengan mengidentifikasi prinsip-prinsip utama kepemimpinan transformasional dan dampaknya terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan serta pengembangan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, mengandalkan sumber pustaka sebagai data utama, seperti buku, artikel jurnal, tesis, disertasi, dan dokumen terkait kepemimpinan transformasional dalam pendidikan Islam. Proses pengumpulan data dimulai dengan identifikasi sumber pustaka melalui database, yang kemudian diseleksi berdasarkan relevansi dan kredibilitas. Data yang terkumpul akan dikelompokkan ke dalam kategori terkait, seperti prinsip-prinsip kepemimpinan transformasional, dampaknya terhadap motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa, serta tantangan dalam penerapannya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis konten, yang bertujuan untuk menghubungkan temuan dengan teori-teori yang relevan, memastikan keabsahan data melalui triangulasi sumber. Hasil analisis artikel bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Islam dengan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang positif, mendukung pembelajaran, dan mengembangkan karakter siswa. Pemimpin transformasional yang memiliki visi jelas, mampu menginspirasi dan memotivasi, serta memperhatikan kebutuhan pengikutnya, dapat memperkuat kemajuan akademik dan nilai-nilai moral siswa. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional dalam pendidikan Islam sangat relevan dan esensial. Pemimpin pendidikan Islam diharapkan dapat berkomitmen pada prinsip-prinsip kepemimpinan transformasional dan menciptakan budaya yang mendukung pembelajaran efektif serta pengembangan karakter siswa secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas falsafah pendidikan Timur dengan fokus pada tradisi Konfusianisme, Hindu-Buddhis, dan Islam. Setiap tradisi menawarkan nilai-nilai unik seperti pembentukan karakter, kesadaran spiritual, dan keselarasan antara ilmu agama dan duniawi. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif berbasis kajian pustaka untuk mengidentifikasi prinsip inti dari masing-masing tradisi pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Konfusianisme menekankan kebajikan, harmoni sosial, dan teladan, sementara tradisi Hindu-Buddhis menyoroti spiritualitas, meditasi, dan pencerahan diri. Pendidikan Islam mengintegrasikan aspek intelektual dan spiritual untuk membentuk individu yang holistik. Penelitian ini memberikan perspektif baru tentang bagaimana nilai-nilai pendidikan Timur dapat diadaptasi untuk menghadapi tantangan pendidikan kontemporer, seperti globalisasi dan krisis identitas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) siswa kelas II SDS Islam An-Nuriyah pada materi musyawarah melalui model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (Problem-Based Learning/PBL). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dengan dua siklus. Setiap masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada ketuntasan belajar siswa, dari 31,3% pada tahap awal, menjadi 78,13% pada siklus pertama, dan 96,88% pada siklus kedua. Dari hasil rata-rata pada sikulus kedua tampak bahwa hasil belajar siswa dan keterlaksanaan PBL terkagori sangat baik karena sma-sama mengalami peningkatan. Tentunya, keberhasilan ini dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan media pembelajaran yang inovatif, pendekatan PBL, serta bimbingan intensif dari guru. Implementasi PBL tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi musyawarah, tetapi juga memotivasi mereka untuk lebih aktif dan bekerja sama dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning PBL metode efektif dan sangat cocok untuk meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar siswa Kelas II SDS Annuriyah dalam pembelajaran PKn.
