Abstract

This study examines the effect of digital technology proficiency on students’ learning motivation and creativity in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 111 respondents. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that digital technology proficiency has a positive and significant influence on both learning motivation and students’ creativity. Measurement model evaluation indicates high internal consistency, with Cronbach’s Alpha values exceeding 0.90, and satisfactory convergent validity, as reflected by Average Variance Extracted (AVE) values above 0.67 for all constructs. These findings highlight that the effective integration of digital technology in PAI learning enhances students’ engagement and supports the development of creative thinking in understanding and applying Islamic values. This study implies that teachers should strategically optimize digital technology integration to create more interactive, contextual, and student-centered learning environments aligned with contemporary educational demands

Abstract

In today's increasingly competitive era, Islamic education faces significant challenges in maintaining its relevance and enhancing its competitiveness. Many Islamic educational institutions struggle to attract public interest, both in terms of academic quality and institutional management. One potential solution lies in visionary leadership combined with a strong corporate culture. Visionary leadership not only sets the institution’s direction and goals but also fosters innovation and strategies that adapt to changing times. Meanwhile, a robust corporate culture establishes a solid institutional identity, strengthens loyalty, and creates a conducive environment for educational growth and development. This study employs the library research method by analyzing various relevant literatures to understand the relationship between these concepts in the context of transformative Islamic education. The findings indicate that the synergy between visionary leadership and corporate culture enhances institutional competitiveness, broadens its appeal to the public, and ensures sustainability amid globalization. The study’s implications emphasize the need for managerial reform in Islamic educational institutions to remain relevant, innovative, and highly competitive in the digital era

Abstract

Education plays a strategic role in improving the quality of human resources and shaping students’ character and morality. However, low learning interest and motivation remain major challenges, particularly due to conventional instructional approaches that fail to actively engage students. In the digital era, these challenges are further intensified by distractions from gadgets and social media. Therefore, innovation in learning management is required, one of which is through deep learning-based curriculum management. This study aims to analyze the role of deep learning curriculum management in enhancing students’ learning motivation at SMP N 2 Buluspesantren, Kebumen Regency. The deep learning approach emphasizes in-depth conceptual understanding, interconnected knowledge construction, and learning experiences that are mindful, meaningful, and joyful. By integrating educational technology, this approach enables personalized learning that accommodates students’ needs and learning styles. The findings indicate that the implementation of deep learning-based curriculum management contributes to the creation of a more flexible, interactive, and meaningful learning environment, which positively affects students’ engagement and motivation. Despite challenges such as technological dependency and limited face-to-face social interaction, this approach is considered effective in fostering learning motivation. This study is expected to serve as a reference for developing innovative curriculum management strategies to improve educational quality

Abstract

The process of globalization and the internationalization of education have raised academic concerns regarding the potential erosion of Islamic and national values in the implementation of international curricula within Islamic schools. This condition necessitates a curriculum integration model capable of harmonizing global academic standards with the fundamental objectives of Islamic education. This article aims to analyze theoretically the integration of the Cambridge Curriculum and the National Curriculum as a strategic approach to the development of Islamic education. This study employs a library research method with a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach through the examination of books, scholarly journal articles, and relevant educational policy documents. The findings indicate that the Cambridge Curriculum excels in fostering critical thinking, twenty-first-century skills, and global competencies, while the National Curriculum plays a significant role in strengthening national values and character education. The integration of both curricula enables the development of Islamic education that balances academic excellence, Qur’anic character formation, and global readiness among students. The study implies that curriculum integration should be conceptually well-designed, supported by teachers’ pedagogical competence, and reinforced by value-oriented educational policies to ensure that Islamic education remains relevant and globally competitive without losing its Islamic identity

Abstract

The role of school committees is essential in strengthening school–community relations and improving educational quality. This study aims to analyze and describe the role of school committees in enhancing community relations at MIN 6 and MIN 9 Bandar Lampung. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through interviews and documentation. The findings indicate that school committees at both institutions have performed their functions relatively effectively through four main roles: (1) advisory agency in curriculum policy formulation and budget planning, (2) supporting agency in providing financial, intellectual, and human resource assistance, (3) controlling agency in monitoring program implementation and evaluation, and (4) mediator agency in facilitating communication between schools and the community. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, particularly related to limited financial resources and the need for improved coordination in community engagement. These findings suggest that the effectiveness of school committees is closely associated with member capacity, transparency in communication, and sustained commitment from educational stakeholders.

Abstract

The utilization of natural resources in development practices often leads to environmental pollution and degradation when legal limitations are understood merely in procedural and administrative terms. Law Number 32 of 2009 on Environmental Protection and Management positions environmental planning as the foundation of environmental governance, particularly through the provisions of Article 10. However, this provision is still frequently interpreted in a formalistic manner, resulting in the underutilization of its normative function as an instrument for limiting natural resource exploitation. This article aims to analyze the position of Article 10 of Law No. 32 of 2009 from the perspective of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah, with an emphasis on the principle of preventing harm (dar’ al-mafāsid), in order to reaffirm the orientation toward environmental protection and human safety. This study employs a normative legal research method using statutory and conceptual approaches. Primary legal materials consist of Law No. 32 of 2009, particularly Article 10, examined alongside relevant Islamic legal sources and supported by maqāṣid literature and contemporary environmental law studies as secondary materials. The findings indicate that Article 10 functions not merely as an administrative planning norm, but also contains preventive values aligned with the objectives of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah, particularly the protection of life and public welfare.

Abstract

Stunting is a public health problem that significantly affects the quality of human resources, making its prevention and reduction a shared responsibility of government institutions, including those at the village/pekon level. This study aims to analyze the role of the Village/Pekon Government in integrated stunting prevention and reduction and to examine it from the perspective of Siyasah Tanfidziyah, particularly in relation to the implementation of policies regulated in Pringsewu Regent Regulation Number 10 of 2024. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature review involving seven purposively selected informants consisting of village officials and relevant stakeholders directly engaged in stunting programs. The results indicate that the Pekon Government has implemented several strategic programs, including monitoring toddler growth through integrated health posts, providing supplementary food funded by the village budget, implementing the Stunting Foster Father program, and assisting pregnant women experiencing chronic energy deficiency. However, policy implementation still faces challenges such as limited health infrastructure, low public awareness of stunting issues, and inadequate human resources among health cadres. From the perspective of Siyasah Tanfidziyah, the role of the village government reflects the executive function of public service delivery, although strengthening intersectoral coordination and institutional capacity remains necessary.

Abstract

This study aims to explain B. Aubrey Fisher's perspective on communication theory as a dynamic conceptual process. It analyzes the key concepts in his theory, particularly those related to meaning formation, and examines their relevance and application in understanding contemporary communication phenomena. The study employed a qualitative approach using library research. Data were obtained from Fisher's key works, as well as relevant communication theory literature and recent research. Data analysis was conducted through qualitative content analysis with an interpretive and contextual approach. The results indicate that Fisher's communication theory places meaning at the core of the communication process, which is inherently non-final, dynamic, and contextual. Meaning is understood as the result of conceptualizing raw experience through language and symbols, so differences in interpretation and the potential for misunderstanding are inherent parts of communication. Furthermore, Fisher's theory has proven relevant in explaining contemporary communication phenomena, particularly in the context of digital communication, the polarization of meaning, and active audience participation. Thus, B. Aubrey Fisher's communication theory provides a significant theoretical contribution to enriching modern communication studies that focus on process, meaning, and social context

Abstract

This study aims to examine Islamic philosophy of science from the perspectives of ontology, epistemology, and axiology through a comprehensive and critical literature study approach. The research method used is qualitative library research, analyzing relevant books and scientific articles, both classical and contemporary. The results of the study indicate that Islamic philosophy of science views reality as a meaningful and purposeful unity, integrating revelation, reason, and empirical experience as sources of knowledge, and situating science within a framework of ethical values, justice, and welfare. However, this study also found a gap between the discourse of Islamic philosophy of science and contemporary scientific practice, particularly in higher education and scientific research in the Muslim world. This study emphasizes that the integration of ontology, epistemology, and axiology is a primary prerequisite for realizing an Islamic scientific paradigm that is holistic, reflective, and relevant to the challenges of modern science

Abstract

This study examines the development of integrated learning modules incorporating religious moderation values for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and Elementary School (SD) levels as an effort to strengthen value-based education from an early age. The research aims to produce learning modules that are valid, practical, and relevant to the pedagogical needs of Islamic basic education. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, which consists of the stages of define, design, develop, and limited dissemination. Data were collected through needs analysis, expert validation, teacher practicality assessments, student trials, classroom observations, and evaluation of learning mastery. The results indicate that the developed modules demonstrate a high level of validity based on expert judgment and are considered very feasible by teachers as instructional users. Furthermore, the modules were positively received by students and effectively promoted active engagement in the learning process. Evaluation of learning mastery revealed that the majority of students achieved the expected learning outcomes. These findings suggest that religious moderation values can be systematically and contextually integrated into learning modules at the basic education level. This study contributes practically to teachers and Islamic education managers in developing value-based learning and enriches academic discourse on religious moderation and character education through a product development approach.
