Abstract

In 2020, Tasikmalaya City as an area that contributes 106 thousand tons of waste per year, if calculated per person, it will produce 0.44 kg of waste per day. In response to this, residents in the Perum Kotabaru Kencana RW 018 Kelurahan Kotabaru, Cibeureum District, Tasikmalaya City established the "SUGEMA" or "SUpaya GEde MAngfaatna" Waste Bank. The purpose of the "Sugema" Waste Bank is as a center for waste management and utilization, a center for waste management education, as well as a production center and distribution center for processed waste products. However, its management is still manual and not digital-based, so it requires innovation such as digital-based educational applications or media. Based on these problems, the solution is to create an application for waste management and create digital-based educational media to educate the public in waste management. The method used is the science and technology diffusion method which is defined as the activity of disseminating or applying science and technology to the wider community or partner groups. The output is waste management educational applications and media.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan profesionalisme guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) melalui implementasi Professional Learning Community berbasis Didactical Design Research (Proleco-DDR) di Kabupaten Garut, Jawa Barat. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan profesional guru, memperkuat kolaborasi dalam komunitas belajar, dan mendorong inovasi pembelajaran berbasis penelitian. Melalui serangkaian workshop, seminar, dan pendampingan, guru dilatih dalam praktik refleksi, dialog argumentatif, dan penulisan narasi pengalaman untuk mengatasi tantangan pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil program ini meliputi peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam mendesain pembelajaran berbasis DDR, publikasi artikel ilmiah, dan terbentuknya komunitas Proleco-DDR yang berkelanjutan. Program ini juga menunjukkan keberhasilan dalam mendorong kolaborasi antara guru, kepala sekolah, dan pengawas pendidikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Untuk menjaga keberlanjutan program, direkomendasikan adanya monitoring berkala, penguatan komunitas Proleco-DDR, serta diseminasi hasil penelitian ke wilayah lain di Jawa Barat.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar menjadi salah satu faktor penunjang keberhasilan seseorang dalam proses pembelajaran.Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar anak ialah pola asuh orang tua, orang tuahendaknya mengetahui kebutuhan bahasa kasih dari anaknya. Bahasa kasih sayang terdiri dari 5 diantaranya (1) Kata-Kata Pendukung/Words of affirmation, (2) Waktu Berkualitas/Quality Time, (3) Sentuhan Fisik/Physical Touch, (4) Pelayanan/Act of Service, (5) Menerima hadiah/Receiving Gifts.Setiap orang tua harus mengetahui kebutuhan bahasa kasih anak, agar dapat memberikan perlakuan yang tepat sehingga berdampak baik pada motivasi belajarnya.

Abstract

In the increasingly advanced digital age, technology has become an integral part of human life. Children of the ‘digital natives’ generation have a natural ability to use digital devices such as smartphones, tablets and computers from an early age. However, this exposure brings not only benefits, but also significant digital risks. These risks include exposure to negative content, cyberbullying, technology addiction and privacy violations. Therefore, digital parenting emerges as a strategic approach that needs to be socialised to parents to guide children in using technology safely, responsibly and productively. Digital parenting is a responsibility that not only involves supervision, but also includes education on digital literacy and ethical use of technology. This approach demands collaboration between parents, educators and the community to ensure children get the most out of technology while being protected from threats. This article will discuss the contents of digital parenting counselling including the urgency, objectives, strategies, benefits, and challenges in implementing digital parenting.

Abstract

Along with the times that have entered the industrial era 4.0, introduction or learning should be integrated with the sophistication of digital technology. One of the things that can be used is the social media application tiktok. This service has the aim of directing the use of the TikTok application for more useful educational content, especially with Sundanese language. From the training provided, the results obtained are an increase in children's enjoyment and ability to communicate using Sundanese accompanied by Sundanese language. The feedback from the participants was that this training had a significant positive impact on the use of Sundanese manners in everyday life, because the training was packaged in an interesting way, and the delivery of material was clear and systematic. Efforts to instil character values in children are important as a guide, guideline and reference for children in acting, speaking and behaving in accordance with the values and cultural norms of the Indonesian nation.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of differentiated instruction in the Merdeka Curriculum at SDN 44 Kota Bengkulu. Teachers face significant challenges in understanding and applying differentiated teaching methods, a critical component of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research applied training and mentoring methods involving focus group discussions, classroom practices, and reflective evaluations. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and tests to assess teachers' knowledge and students' learning outcomes. Results demonstrated that training significantly enhanced teachers' abilities to design and implement differentiated learning, leading to improved student engagement and performance. This study underscores the importance of professional development in empowering educators to adopt innovative instructional strategies effectively.

Abstract

Various sectors of life are currently being carried away by the current era of digitalization. Currently, literacy is not only limited to the ability to read and write but is developing towards digital literacy which is an important skill for every individual, including the younger generation and educators in the education sector. This service activity aims to discover strategies for integrating the digital world with education, the main components of integrating digital media with education, and the challenges in integrating digital media with the world of education. This service activity is conducted using an online seminar method for the community. Based on the results of the activities, information was obtained that: 1) implementation of digital media integration strategies with the world of education using appropriate methods and approaches from all parties such as educational institutions, the government, and the students' parents; 2) the main components in integrating digital media with the world of education must be considered and well prepared, starting from technological infrastructure, learning resources and platforms, teacher competency development, curriculum integration, and hybrid learning approaches; and 3) challenges such as unequal access equality, security and privacy in the use of technology, adaptation and resilience in the integration of digital media with the world of education are things that must be faced together so that these challenges will become motivation for all parties to achieve one final goal, namely generation young people and educators who are literate about the digital world in the education sector. Abstract

This article aims to provide information regarding community service activities related to efforts to socialize language literacy management in elementary schools. This socialization is a form of language literacy education and counseling for prospective elementary school teacher students with the aim of making them aware of language literacy management in elementary schools. The method used in this activity includes delivering material through lectures and questions and answers. The results achieved in this activity are students' understanding of language literacy in elementary schools which includes the meaning of language literacy, the importance of language literacy. At the end of the article, the author explains aspects of language literacy management that schools need to pay attention to in order to implement the literacy movement in elementary schools.
