Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the effectiveness of comic strip media in improving fifth-grade students’ cognitive learning outcomes in the Science and Social Education (IPAS) subject. This research was driven by low student achievement resulting from the dominance of lecture-based teaching methods and the lack of engaging learning media. Based on cognitive learning theory, students require visual stimuli and meaningful learning experiences that connect new information with prior knowledge. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through classroom observations, documentation, expert validation, and analysis of pre-test and post-test scores. The comic strip media was developed following the cognitive principles of Piaget, Ausubel, and Bruner and was designed to support visual learning suited to the concrete operational stage of elementary students. The findings indicate a significant increase in students’ scores, with N-gain categorized as moderate to high. Student engagement also increased, as shown by their active participation in reading, discussing, and interpreting story panels. These results demonstrate that comic strips effectively enhance students’ cognitive processes, motivation, and understanding of IPAS concepts through concrete and contextual visual representation elementary school.

Abstract

The Village Fund is a crucial national program to accelerate development and enhance village independence, including in Wilulang Village, which is required to manage the 2025 Village Fund effectively, transparently, and in accordance with Islamic economic principles. This study aims to analyze the management of the Village Fund in community empowerment and assess its compliance with sharia values. Qualitative methods were used through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that the management of the Village Fund has followed the planning and monitoring stages, although community understanding of village finances remains limited. Various empowerment efforts, such as training, assistance with production equipment, and institutional strengthening, have been implemented, but these have not yet fully increased community independence. From an Islamic economic perspective, fund management in Wilulang reflects trustworthiness, justice, and welfare. Overall, the Village Fund has had a positive impact, but improvements in effectiveness, transparency, and community participation are still needed.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach, namely quality research with a descriptive approach in explaining the main topics in this article. The data used in this study is secondary data that researchers obtained from various credible sources such as books, scientific articles, and so on. The data obtained was analyzed through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data selection, and drawing conclusions. The conclusion in this article show that The Nickel Downstreaming Program has significant potential to improve these three sectors, but this potential comes with trade-offs:1. Food Security: Improved through fiscal strengthening, but threatened by environmental risks. 2. Tourism: Improved through infrastructure and business tourism, but threatened by environmental degradation. 3. MSMEs: Benefit directly from local market demand. To ensure a sustainable positive impact, the government must focus on rigorous environmental risk mitigation and MSME mentoring programs so that economic benefits are not solely enjoyed by large corporations. The establishment of Danantara has significant potential to simultaneously improve Food Security, the Tourism Industry, and the Welfare of MSMEs, through its primary role as a professional and strategic financing institution. Danantara addresses the funding and governance barriers that have hampered the development of these three sectors in Indonesia. Its successful implementation will depend on:1. Transparency and Accountability: Maintaining clean governance so that investment funds are properly targeted. 2. Inclusiveness: Ensuring that large-scale investments not only benefit large corporations but also empower MSMEs and local communities.

Abstract

Artikel yang berjudul Reinvensi Sastra Maritim Masyarakat Bugis di Era Digital sebagai Bentuk Adaptasi Budaya dan Kesadaran Ekologis Global ini bertujuan menafsirkan transformasi sastra maritim masyarakat Bugis di era digital serta menjelaskan bagaimana literasi laut terbentuk dan berfungsi dalam budaya populer kontemporer. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perubahan terhadap epistemologi kelautan dari spiritualitas kosmis menuju kesadaran ekologis digital. Laut yang menjadi ruang mitologis kini bertransformasi menjadi sebuah arsip ekologi digital yang dihasilkan melalui teks, gambar, dan suara. Bentuk literasi laut di platform seperti Instagram dan YouTube memperlihatkan munculnya estetika partisipatif, di mana masyarakat berperan aktif mencipta, memodifikasi, dan menyebarkan makna laut dalam ruang algoritmik yang bersifat kolaboratif. Fenomena ini menunjukkan ecological mediation baru antara manusia, teknologi, dan lingkungan laut. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperluas cakupan kajian blue humanities dengan mengintegrasikan perspektif ekologi budaya ke dalam konteks media digital. Secara praktis, ditemukan bahwa sastra maritim digital berfungsi sebagai mekanisme adaptif yang menjaga keberlanjutan nilai budaya pesisir sekaligus memperluas kesadaran ekologis global.

Abstract

Fasilitator koperasi memainkan peran strategis dalam meningkatkan kapasitas dan tata kelola keuangan koperasi; namun, banyak fasilitator menghadapi tantangan dalam menerapkan pembukuan dan manajemen keuangan yang efektif. Studi pengabdian masyarakat ini melaporkan pelaksanaan Pelatihan Fasilitator Koperasi Merah Putih, yang diselenggarakan oleh Forhati Sulawesi Utara dengan fasilitator yang merupakan akademisi dan praktisi. Pelatihan ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran teori dan praktik, termasuk kuliah interaktif, studi kasus, dan diskusi kelompok. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta tentang pencatatan transaksi dan penyusunan laporan keuangan dasar, serta antusiasme yang tinggi untuk menerapkan keterampilan praktis di lapangan. Tantangan terutama melibatkan sistem administrasi koperasi yang tidak terstruktur, yang menyoroti perlunya pendampingan berkelanjutan dan sistem pembukuan yang disederhanakan. Temuan ini memberikan bukti empiris bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik secara efektif meningkatkan kompetensi fasilitator sekaligus memperkuat tata kelola keuangan koperasi Merah Putih.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the collaborative decision-making model in improving teacher professionalism at SMA Negeri 9 Mandau. Collaborative decision-making is a managerial approach that emphasizes the involvement of all parties in determining school policies. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the principal and teachers involve all elements such as the vice principal, the head of the MGMP, and administrative staff in the process of formulating important decisions. The positive impact of implementing this collaborative model is an increased sense of responsibility, trust, and teacher participation in school activities. However, a negative impact was also found in the form of long decision-making time due to the many parties that must be consulted. This study concludes that collaborative decision-making is effective in improving teacher professionalism, as long as it is balanced with good coordination and time management.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students’ understanding and skills in maintaining mental health, as well as to equip them with basic pastoral counseling techniques through the Basic Pastoral Counseling class program. The program was attended by 20 students who were then formed into KONSER Ambassadors (Friendly Counselors) to support the school’s guidance and counseling services. The implementation method consisted of a basic pastoral counseling class comprising ten meetings, which included five material sessions and five counseling practice sessions, presentations, and the selection of KONSER Ambassadors. The materials provided covered eight modules: Child Development Psychology, Personality, EQ & SQ, People with Severe Mental Disorders (ODGJ), Trauma, Loving Until It Hurts, Self-awareness, and Self-healing & Self-counseling. After the completion of all activities, mentoring and evaluation were conducted. The results of the program showed an increase in students’ knowledge of mental health, basic counseling skills, and confidence in providing emotional support to their peers. In addition, two KONSER Ambassadors were appointed as part of the school organization, and innovative educational media in the form of podcasts and posters were produced and published through social media.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membangun dan mengimplementasikan website resmi Desa Poogalampa sebagai sarana informasi dan layanan publik berbasis digital. Pembuatan website dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan pemerintah desa untuk meningkatkan transparansi, efektivitas komunikasi, serta partisipasi masyarakat dalam pemerintahan. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan community empowerment dengan tahapan: analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, dan pelatihan penggunaan bagi perangkat desa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa website desa menjadi media publikasi dan komunikasi yang efektif antara pemerintah dan masyarakat, sekaligus memperkuat tata kelola pemerintahan desa berbasis e-government. Keberadaan website juga meningkatkan literasi digital aparat dan masyarakat desa dalam mendukung pembangunan menuju smart village.

Abstract

Reading culture is a fundamental foundation for supporting the growth and development of preschool children. However, the rapid advancement of digital technology has created new challenges, particularly the increasing trend of excessive screen time. This community service program was conducted at PAUD Melati RW.5, Semarang City, aiming to accelerate the improvement of reading culture through structured, participatory, and sustainable literacy interventions. The study employed observation, interviews, and questionnaires involving 19 children, 2 teachers, and parents. Data analysis revealed that 73.7% of children spent more than two hours per day on digital devices, significantly exceeding WHO recommendations, while interest in physical books remained low. The interventions included digital literacy workshops for parents, interactive storytelling training for teachers, the establishment of an interactive reading corner, and the provision of literacy activity modules. The results indicated an increase in children’s reading interest, a decrease in average screen time, and stronger involvement of both parents and teachers in supporting early literacy. The findings imply that collaborative strategies involving families, schools, and communities can serve as an effective solution to foster a strong reading culture while reducing children’s dependency on gadgets.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi latihan memantulkan bola ke dinding terhadap keterampilan passing bawah pada club bolavoli UPT SMPN 2 Ulaweng. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bolavoli. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes keterampilan passing bawah yang dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test setelah pemberian perlakuan berupa variasi latihan memantulkan bola ke dinding. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi latihan memantulkan bola ke dinding memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan passing bawah siswa (nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05). Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,399 yang berarti latihan tersebut memberikan kontribusi sebesar 39,9% terhadap peningkatan keterampilan passing bawah, sedangkan sisanya 60,1% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Dengan demikian, penerapan variasi latihan memantulkan bola ke dinding efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan passing bawah siswa dalam permainan bolavoli.
