Abstract

Stunting is one of the nutritional problems experienced by toddlers in the world today. In 2017 there were 22.2% or around 150.8 million toddlers in the world stunted. However, this figure has decreased compared to 2000, which was 32.6%. This quasi-experimental study employed a pre-test and post-test design using a control group. The study involved an intervention group of 42 respondents and control group of a further 42 respondents. The sample was selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using a t-test. Respondents' knowledge was obtained on average before being given health promotion about stunting prevention at 21.00 and with a P Value of 0.000  0.05 which means that there is an influence of knowledge with the provision of health promotion about stunting prevention. The average attitude before being given health promotion regarding stunting prevention is 28.00 with a P value of 0.000 < 0.05 which means that there is an influence of knowledge by providing health promotion about stunting prevention. Health education through documentary film consisting of film about the growth and development of toddlers and stunting can increase mothers' knowledge and attitude about monitoring the growth and development of toddlers and is expected to prevent stunting.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the incidence of teenagers experiencing TRIAD KRR cases is still high. 35.9% of teenagers have had free sex, 45.04% have used drugs, and 45.9% have been exposed to HIV/AIDS. One of the contributing factors is low knowledge and searching for wrong information regarding the KRR Triad. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of peer educator mentoring in increasing teenagers' knowledge regarding the KRR triad. This type of research is analytical. The research design used was a quasi experimental one group Pre – Post Design. The research population was 534 teenagers aged 15-19 years, Birugo Village, Aur Birugo Tigo Baleh District, Bukittinggi City. The sample was 43, CI 95%, p value < 0.05. Data collection using questionnaire techniques uses questionnaire instruments that have been tested for validity. Respondents filled out questionnaires before and after mentoring by peer educators. Data were processed using univariate and bivariate analysis. The statistical test used was the Wilcoxon paired t test because the data distribution was not normal. Most respondents had low knowledge, namely 74.4% before mentoring. After mentoring, most respondents had high knowledge, around 53.5%. The statistical test results obtained a significant value of 0.019 (p ˂ 0.05), which means there is a significant difference in knowledge between before and after peer educator mentoring. Mentoring by peer educators can increase adolescent knowledge so that the implementation of programs to increase knowledge about the triad of adolescent reproductive health. Therefore, mentoring peer educators can be used as an effort to anticipate TRIAD for Adolescent Reproductive Health

Abstract

Banana blossom jerky is a vegetable-based jerky made from banana blossom and spices. Banana blossom contains complete nutrients such as carbohydrates, fat and fiber, but its protein content is low, so it is necessary to add protein-rich ingredients to increase its nutritional value, such as tofu dregs. The purpose of this study was to determine the organoleptic quality and protein content of banana blossom jerky with supplementation of tofu dregs. This type of research is an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD), namely 3 treatments, 1 control and 2 repetitions. Observations were made in two ways, namely subjective (hedonic test/organoleptic quality) analyzed by the variance test (ANOVA) which has been continued with the DNMRT test at the 5% level and objective (protein content test) with the Kjedhal micro method. The results of the study based on the variance test (ANOVA) found that banana blossom jerky in terms of color ranged from 2.84-3.02 (like), aroma ranged from 3.06-3.16 (like), taste ranged from 2.58-3.02 (like), and texture ranged from 2.52-3.04 (like). The results of this study show that the average acceptance is at the level of like and the best treatment in banana blossom jerky with supplementation of tofu dregs is treatment C with the addition of 40 grams of tofu dregs with a protein content of 3.92%. After the variance analysis test (ANOVA), there was a significant difference in terms of taste and texture of the added tofu dregs. Further research is recommended to examine the shelf life/durability of banana heart jerky with the addition of tofu dregs

D-Kay Cleaner will be an easy and acceptable medium for the public in carrying out respiratory prevention. In the D-Kay Cleaner testing process, tool manufacturing was carried out starting from oil bottle experiments, welding boxes, and used. box. The innovation of the D-Kay Cleaner tool uses the principle of a vacuum cleaner. But the difference is that the tools and materials for making it are more economical, and use a layer of mask as a filter. Therefore, it is necessary to develop d-kay cleaners on the scale of wood furniture workers to reduce the amount of wood dust produced, and can reduce the negative impact of respiratory disorders.

Abstract

The M1 tooth is the first tooth to erupt at the age of 6-7 years which becomes a guide for the growth of other permanent teeth. Early eruption, tooth anatomy, poor child behavior and lack of parental knowledge make M1 teeth most at risk of caries. The prevalence of M1 dental caries in children aged 6-12 years is the number of people who experience caries in one population. This study to determine the prevalence and estimated need for M1 care for children aged 6-12 years at AlFalah Islamic Elementary School, Bukittinggi City. This study use cross sectional research design . The number of samples was 431 (total population). Data collection was through direct observation (examination) using the DMFT index and guided interviews with a questionnaire. Data analysis used the chisquare test , α: (0.05) and the mean-Whitney test. The prevalence of M1 caries in children aged 6-12 years was 45% with a mean DMFT of 0.85. Mark The p value for gender, age group and brushing frequency is 0.04 < 0.05, meaning that there are differences in the prevalence of M1 caries based on gender, age group and frequency of brushing teeth regarding M1 dental caries. To estimate the need for restoration treatment for M1 teeth, the p value for gender is 0.02 < 0.05, meaning there is a difference in the need for M1 caries restoration for women and men, the p value for age group is 0.3 > 0.05, meaning there is no difference in need for restoration. M1 dental caries in children aged 6-9 and 10-12. The high prevalence of M1 caries occurs due to several interconnected factors. The prevalence of M1 caries in children aged 6-12 years reaches 45% with the average child having experience of 1 M1 tooth caries and the need for 1 M1 tooth filling. This must be a concern as a form of contribution to realizing a caries-free Indonesia by 2030.
