Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is a project-based learning method that encourages students to learn through exploration, collaboration and application of knowledge in completing real projects. The aim of this research is to find out how to develop the Project Based Learning method for Islamic religious education at SDIT MTA Kotabumi North Lampung. This method uses qualitative with a case study approach. Case studies consist of detailed studies, often data, collected from a particular period, phenomenon, and context, with the aim of providing an analysis of the context and process of the study's theoretical inquiry. The researcher collected data using the observation/observation method, the observation carried out by the researcher was a participant observer, which is a direct observation, which means that the researcher directly became a participant in the research. The object observed was the implementation of P5 learning activities as a characteristic of the independent curriculum carried out by students at SDIT MTA Kotabumi, namely 22 Class III students. The results of this research are the development of a Project Based Learning (PjBL) Model for PAI at SDIT MTA Kotabumi which provides a positive response from students in learning, most students are happy and enthusiastic in the learning process.

Abstract

The emergence of discussions on the issue of integration of science to the surface is actually an effort to examine the dynamics of life and dichotomous science in the Islamic world. Efforts to integrate and interconnect various Islamic sciences with science are efforts and at the same time as an urgent answer to the weaknesses and deficiencies among Muslims compared to the paradigm of Western science. For centuries, Muslims have been imprisoned in a narrow and irrational understanding of religion. As if studying the universe is not a religious act. There is a strict separation between worldly affairs and the hereafter, between science and religion, between scientists and scholars. Consequently, the Islamic world is far behind the progress of Western science. Aware of the limitations of the impact and slap of Western science, knowledge and technology, PTAI throughout Indonesia are improving themselves, making serious changes and changes. The change of STAIN to IAIN and the conversion of IAIN to UIN still leaves big, complicated and complex problems, especially in the issue of developing the paradigm of integration of science, pillars of spirituality and its implementation model. The development model of the science integration paradigm developed at UIN Suka Yogyakarta is concentrated on the spider web symbol.

Abstract

The development of human resources, particularly educators, is a crucial factor in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Kepulauan Riau. However, its implementation faces several challenges, such as ineffective communication systems, suboptimal fulfillment of teachers' needs, and an unstructured reward management system. This study aims to analyze the relationship between communication systems, teachers' needs, and reward management with human resource development in madrasahs. The research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational survey design, involving respondents from educators at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Kepulauan Riau. The findings indicate a positive and significant relationship between the three independent variables and human resource development. An effective communication system facilitates access to information and coordination in development programs, meeting teachers' needs enhances motivation and training effectiveness, and a well-structured reward management system boosts educators' enthusiasm. In conclusion, improvements in internal communication systems, the design of development programs aligned with teachers' needs, and the implementation of performance-based rewards are necessary to enhance the effectiveness of human resource development sustainably.

Abstract

The ability to read the Quran is a fundamental skill in religious education for students in schools. Co-curricular programs can play an important role in improving this ability. This study aims to explore the implementation of co-curricular programs in improving the ability to read the Quran in primary schools. This study used a qualitative approach with an analytical description design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and parents, as well as observation of learning activities. The research subjects consisted of 30 students who participated in the co-curricular Quran reading program for one semester. The results showed that the implementation of this co-curricular program contributed positively to the improvement of students' Quran reading skills. Teachers reported significant improvements in students' Quran reading proficiency, as shown through increased evaluation scores. In addition, parents' involvement in supporting the program was also a determining factor in the success of students' improvement. This study indicates that a well-designed co-curricular program can be an effective solution in improving Quran reading skills. The findings emphasize the importance of collaboration between teachers, students and parents in creating a supportive learning environment. Recommendations for future research include the development of a more structured program as well as a long-term evaluation of the sustainability of improving Quran reading skills.

Abstract

The Character education through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has an important role in forming individuals with noble character. This study aims to explore the methods and impacts of character education in the context of PAI. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a survey to collect data from various sources. The results of the study indicate that the internalization of moral and spiritual values in PAI not only teaches religious theory, but also encourages students to apply these values in everyday life. Exemplary behavior from parents and teachers, as well as the habituation of religious practices, are effective strategies in forming good character. In addition, the integration of character values in the PAI curriculum helps students understand and appreciate differences, and develop empathy and social responsibility. Thus, character education through PAI contributes significantly to the development of children's positive personalities, broad-mindedness, and ability to contribute to society. This study recommends the need to strengthen the PAI curriculum and training for educators to apply more effective educational methods in instilling character values.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of interactive media in motivating learning for students with special needs in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study uses a literature review method by collecting and analyzing literature related to the role of interactive media in motivating learning for students with special needs. The analysis was carried out qualitatively by describing and integrating findings from various sources. Data validity is maintained by selecting credible and up-to-date sources. In the context of inclusive education, students with special needs often face challenges in understanding the material. The use of interactive media, such as videos and technology-based applications, is expected to increase student engagement and motivation to learn. The results of the study showed that interactive media significantly improved conceptual understanding and created an inclusive learning environment. However, a personal approach is needed to overcome differences in student responses.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays an important role in shaping the character of students. As the frontline in religious learning, PAI teachers have a great responsibility to guide and develop character values in their students. However, the facts on the ground show that there is a gap between the goals of PAI learning and its practice in shaping student character. This study aims to evaluate the role of PAI teachers in creating student character in schools. In addition, this research also seeks the factors that support and hinder the role of PAI teachers in creating student character. This research uses a qualitative case study, and data is collected through observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. This research involved PAI teachers, school principals, and students. The results show that PAI teachers play an important role in shaping student character through exemplary behavior, habituation, and integration of religious values in learning. The supporting factors for the role of PAI teachers include the support of school principals, collaboration with parents, and a conducive school culture. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include the administrative burden of teachers, limited facilities and infrastructure, and lack of training for PAI teachers.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of gadgets in enhancing learning motivation and improving academic outcomes among junior high school students. Employing a mixed-methods approach, quantitative data from surveys and qualitative insights from interviews were analyzed to explore students’ experiences when incorporating digital devices into their learning processes. The findings indicate that effective integration of gadgets in classroom settings significantly bolsters students’ learning motivation, which in turn mediates higher academic achievement. Furthermore, mobile learning readiness, especially in science subjects, facilitates access to interactive digital content that increases student engagement and positively impacts learning outcome. The study underscores the critical role of educators in guiding technology use to maximize its benefits, and it advocates for a strategic implementation of digital tools to enhance contemporary educational practices.

Abstract

In a contemporary era characterized by rapid social, technological, and cultural changes, the role of Muslim adolescents in preparing for Islamic leadership is crucial. Teenagers are the next generation who have great potential to bring Islamic values into the lives of modern society. This article aims to analyze how Islamic character education, the integration of Islamic values with modern leadership competencies, and the involvement of teenagers as agents of social change can shape adaptive and integrity Islamic leadership. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature study of various scientific literature and supporting documents. The results show that Islamic values-based youth leadership development, accompanied by character strengthening and positive utilization of digital media, is an effective strategy in producing future Muslim leaders who are able to answer global challenges without losing their spiritual identity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tantangan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di sekolah dalam menghadapi kecanduan gadget di kalangan siswa. Ruang lingkup kajian meliputi dampak penggunaan gadget terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran PAI, serta strategi yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi guru PAI dalam menginternalisasi nilai-nilai keislaman di tengah derasnya arus digitalisasi, serta menawarkan solusi berbasis teknologi yang relevan dan aplikatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber literatur seperti jurnal ilmiah, buku, dan hasil penelitian sebelumnya yang berkaitan dengan topik ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecanduan gadget berdampak pada menurunnya minat dan konsentrasi siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran PAI, serta tergerusnya nilai-nilai spiritual akibat dominasi konten hiburan digital. Namun, temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa gadget tidak sepenuhnya menjadi ancaman apabila digunakan secara bijak sebagai sarana pembelajaran. Strategi yang terbukti efektif di antaranya adalah penerapan blended learning, pemanfaatan aplikasi edukatif Islami, model gamifikasi dalam penyampaian materi, serta penguatan peran guru dan orang tua dalam pengawasan penggunaan gadget. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pembelajaran PAI harus mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi dan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam dalam platform digital secara kreatif dan kontekstual, sehingga gadget tidak hanya menjadi tantangan, tetapi juga peluang untuk memperkuat karakter Islami siswa di era digital.
