Abstract

Ethics are the foundation used by all professions in carrying out their duties. No exception for guidance and counseling teachers, they also apply ethics in carrying out professional duties. There have been many studies discussing teacher ethics, but none have discussed ethics regarding blind guidance and counseling teachers.The method used in this study is qualitative with a case study approach on guidance and counseling teachers who are still actively teaching at private MTS in the city of Yogyakarta. Data collection was carried out by means of in-depth interviews and non-participatory observation The results of the study showed that in conditions of visual disabilities, guidance and counseling teachers still carry out ethics as they should. There is even a certain way to apply these ethics to students who also have a number of the same disabilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara resiliensi dan penyesuaian diri siswa Etnis Tionghoa berdasarkan gender di SMA Negeri Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode korelasional dan komparasi. Subjek Penelitian ini adalah 100 orang siswa di SMA Negeri Jakarta, terdiri dari 50 orang laki-laki dan 50 orang perempuan . Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara resiliensi dan penyesuaian diri siswa Etnis Tionghoa berdasarkan gender di SMA Negeri Jakarta, terdapat perbedaan resiliensi siswa Etnis Tionghoa laki-laki dan perempuan di SMA Negeri Jakarta, dan terdapat perbedaan penyesuaian diri siswa Etnis Tionghoa laki-laki dan perempuan di SMA Negeri Jakarta. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah resiliensi dan penyesuaian diri memiliki hubungan yang positif yaitu apabila resiliensi baik maka penyesuaian diri juga baik, gender dan etnis merupakan aspek yang harus diperhatikan.

Abstract

In some literature, there are indications that the inner child has a negative impact if maintained. A solution is needed to reduce the negative impact of the inner child itself. Through a literature review, it is considered that group counseling with a reality approach is able to reduce the inner child in students. The purpose of this study was to test whether group counseling with a reality approach is able to reduce the inner child. This study is an experimental study with a time series design. The sample in this study were seven students who were selected purposively. Data were collected using the validated inner child scale technique and have a reliability that is worthy of being used as a research instrument. Data were analyzed nonparametrically through a sign test. The results of the study showed that group counseling with a reality approach was able to reduce the inner child. The results of this study are expected to be an additional reference in handling similar problems.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based career information service media to assist students of SMPN 7 Banda Aceh in understanding career paths that align with their interests and talents. The research method used is Research and Development, following the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The study subjects consisted of 30 ninth-grade students selected for field testing. The research results showed that junior high school students face limited access to career information and highly require media that facilitates easier access to such information. The developed web-based career information service media includes features such as job descriptions, educational pathways, and an interactive discussion forum. Based on the field test, 88% of students reported an improvement in their understanding of career options after using the media. Student satisfaction with the media was also very high, with 90% of respondents giving positive feedback on its accessibility and ease of use. Assessments from media experts and career counseling experts indicated that the media has a responsive and user-friendly design, while the information provided was considered comprehensive and relevant. Thus, this web-based career information service media has proven effective in helping students understand various career options and educational pathways, making it suitable for wider implementation in schools

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurai kondisi lokus kontrol internal mahasiswa berdasarkan latar belakang sosio-kultural geografis seperti mahasiswa yang tinggal di dataran tinggi, daratan, dan dataran remdah yang diasmsikan memiliki kondisi lokus kontrol internal yang dipengaruhi oleh kondisi sosio-kultural geografisnya. Lokus kontrol internal adalah keyakinan umum terhadap pengendalian internal yang menunjukkan bahwa seseorang percaya bahwa ia bertanggung jawab atas konsekuensi dari tindakannya secara mandiri. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survey yang di laksanakan di lingkungan Institut Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Siliwangi di Kota Cimahi Provinsi Jawa Barat. Responden penelitian adalah Mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling dari Angkatan 2021-2023 yang berjumlah 431 mahasiswa dengan rincian 107 mahasiswa pada Angkatan 2021, 164 mahasiswa pada Angkatan 2022, dan 160 mahasiswa pada Angkatan 2023. Lokus kontrol internal diukur dengan skala yang dikembangkan dengan tiga aspek yaitu kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik yang terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik probabilitas sampling dengan jenis total sampling atau sampel jenuh. Hasil penelitian ini direkomendasikan untuk memahami karakteristik masyarakat berdasarkan letak geografis dimana mereka tinggal dan latar belakang sosio-kulturalnya.

Abstract

Discipline is a behavior that shows adherence to rules and a mental attitude to do something at the right time while respecting time. However, at the state junior high school Ingin Jaya, there are some students who exhibit low levels of disciplinary behavior. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services using the sociodrama technique to improve students' disciplinary behavior at Ingin Jaya Junior High School. This research uses a quantitative approach in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consist of 24 students selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was done using a questionnaire to measure students' disciplinary behavior levels, followed by a T-test analysis using SPSS version 22. Based on the data analysis results, the obtained T-hitung (16.418) is greater than the T-tabel (1.714), indicating a significant difference between before and after the group counseling service using the sociodrama technique was provided to improve students' disciplinary behavior. The results show that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It can be concluded that there is an improvement in students' disciplinary behavior after receiving group counseling services and the sociodrama technique

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers new possibilities for enhancing counseling practices, including Islamic counseling, which combines psychological support with spiritual guidance. However, the integration of AI into this field raises significant ethical concerns. This study explores the ethical implications of AI in Islamic counseling through interviews with 10 Islamic scholars in Pakistan. The research employs Ethical AI Decision-Making and Islamic Counseling Ethics as theoretical frameworks to examine the potential benefits and limitations of AI in this context. The findings indicate that while AI can improve access to counseling services, particularly in underserved areas, it cannot replace the empathy, personalized care, and spiritual insight essential to Islamic counseling. Scholars emphasize that AI systems must align with Islamic ethical principles, ensuring confidentiality, fairness, and cultural sensitivity. AI should be viewed as a complementary tool rather than a replacement for human counselors, offering support in areas such as preliminary assessments or information delivery. The study contributes to the ongoing discourse on the intersection of AI and religious ethics, providing a foundation for future research on developing AI systems that are both technologically effective and ethically sound.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of reframing techniques through group counseling in improving students' self-regulation, good self-regulation tends to have better emotional control. However, some students at MTsN 3 Banda Aceh have difficulty in managing self-regulation. This quantitative study with a pre-experimental approach used a one group pretest-posttest design. A total of 30 students who had difficulty in self-regulation were selected as samples through purposive sampling. Measurements were taken using a self-regulation scale before and after three treatment sessions or group counseling treatments with reframing techniques. The results showed a significant increase in students' self-regulation, with an average score increasing from 42.83 in the pretest to 84.83 in the posttest and a t-value of 54.222 greater than t-table of 2.015 and a sig level (2-tailed ) <significance level of 0.000 <0.05. t-count is greater than t-table at a significance level of 0.05. From the research results, it can be concluded that the reframing technique through group counseling is effective in improving students' self-regulation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik mind mapping dapat mengetahui pemahaman diripada siswa kelas x SMK Widya Praja Ungaran. Jenis penelitian inimenggunakan True Experimen Design. Jumlah subjek yang digunakan sebanyak 22 siswa yang masuk kedalam kelompok eksperimen dan kelompokkontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan skala psikologis pemahaman diri. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji paired sample t test gunamenguji hipotesis komparatif rata-rata dua sampel dan untuk mengetahui adatidaknya perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan perlakuan. Hasil analisismenunjukkan bahwa Sig.2-tailed sebesar 0,002 < 0,05 yang artinya terdapatperbedaan rata-rata pemahaman diri siwa kelompok pre-test dan kelas kontrol. Dapat disimpulakan bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, hal ini menunjukkanbahwa layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik mind mapping dapatmengetahui pemahaman diri pada siswa kelas x SMK Widya Praja Ungaran.

Abstract

This research was carried out based on incidents at SMA ITP Surabaya and it was found that students were not yet mature in making career decisions after graduating. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and career decision making in ITP High School students with a sample size of 96 students. This research uses quantitative with a correlational design. As for the results of the correlation test which was carried out using the SPSS version 26.0 for Windows computer, the results of the correlation test (r) were 0.468 and a significant value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means that the relationship between these two variables can be interpreted as that the higher the emotional maturity variable, the higher the career decision making variable in students.
