Abstract

This study aims to identify tourists' preferences in choosing transportation modes during their visit to Bandung City and to analyze the factors influencing their decisions. The method used is a quantitative approach with surveys and interviews. The study sample consists of 200 tourists, with 150 domestic tourists and 50 international tourists. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews to gather information related to transportation mode choices, speed, comfort, price, and accessibility factors. The results show that the most commonly chosen transportation mode is Angkot (25%), followed by Trans Metro Pasundan (23%). Travel speed, comfort, and accessibility are the main factors influencing transportation mode choices. Furthermore, differences in preferences are observed between domestic tourists, who tend to prefer economical transportation modes like angkot and TMB, and international tourists, who prioritize comfort such as online taxis or Bandros. The study concludes that transportation mode choices are influenced by practical needs such as affordable prices, comfort, and ease of accessibility. Recommendations for destination managers and the government include improving the public transportation infrastructure to be more efficient and environmentally friendly, as well as utilizing technologies like ride-hailing apps to enhance comfort and accessibility for tourists. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing tourists' decisions to purchase flight tickets and hotel accommodations online, focusing on the role of trust and previous tourist experiences. The research uses a quantitative approach with path analysis to test the direct and indirect effects of trust and tourist experience on purchase decisions. A sample of 200 respondents who have purchased online tickets was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through online questionnaires, and the analysis was conducted using various statistical tests, including validity, reliability, and path analysis. The results show that trust has a significant impact on both tourist experience and purchase decisions. Furthermore, tourist experience acts as a moderating variable, strengthening the relationship between trust and purchase decisions. Positive experiences with online ticket platforms enhance trust and increase the likelihood of purchasing, while negative experiences reduce trust and hinder purchase decisions. The study concludes that trust in online platforms significantly influences tourist decisions to purchase tickets and accommodations, and previous experiences play a crucial role in moderating this effect. It is recommended that tourists choose trustworthy platforms with secure transactions and clear information. Travel app managers should focus on improving service quality, transparency, and security to foster trust and enhance user loyalty, ultimately increasing purchase decisions. Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the development of a natural seasoning made from milkfish meat, shiitake mushrooms, and shrimp waste, as well as to assess its organoleptic properties. The research was conducted in Surabaya. The seasoning was prepared by drying and processing each ingredient into powder form, which was then mixed with other spices in varying formulations containing 0%, 10%, 15%, and 20% shiitake mushroom powder. The final products were subjected to organoleptic evaluation using a 4-point Likert scale by untrained panelists, who assessed the color, aroma, taste, and texture. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to identify significant differences among the samples. The results indicated that the 20% shiitake mushroom formulation enhanced the umami flavor without significantly affecting the color and texture (p > 0.05). However, aroma and taste were significantly influenced by the formulation (p < 0.05). This shows that the addition of shiitake mushroom powder contributes to flavor enrichment without altering the product’s appearance. Therefore, the formulation shows potential as a natural and nutrient-rich alternative seasoning. Further research is recommended to improve the product’s texture and shelf-life, making it more suitable for commercial production and market acceptance. Keywords: milkfish, shiitake mushroom, shrimp waste, seasoning, organoleptic test.

Abstract

Smart tourism destinations (STDs) aim to improve the travelers’ experience and the local residents’ quality of life. However, existing research mainly focuses on the perspectives of tourists and ignores the attitudes of residents. Residents' attitudes signify their support for local smart tourism development. Without residents' support, STD-related projects may experience failure. This study fills this gap by exploring how perceived impact of smart travel/tourism (IST) and sense of leisure of well-being (SLW) contributed to residents’ overall quality of life (QoL). This study adopts quantitative method with questionnaire. The finding confirms the residents’ positive impact on smart travel/tourism in Zhuhai, China. Similarly, they residents also showed their approval on the leisure well-being. Additionally, the findings highlight significant relationships between the perceived impact of smart travel/tourism (X1), sense of leisure well-being (X2), and overall quality of life (Y). Residents' quality of life is significantly improved by positive perceptions of smart tourism impacts and leisure well-being. This underscores the importance of the local perspective in STD success. STD initiatives should prioritize enhancing these specific aspects for residents. This paper suggests that engaging the community and focusing on their perceived benefits regarding smart travel and leisure well-being will foster crucial support and ensure project viability.
