Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine the implementation of the marketing mix promotion at the Oki MKGR Store. The identification results show a visible impact and improvement in Oki MKGR Store sales. This includes increased consumer brand awareness of the business, easier purchasing activities for buyers with WhatsApp, and increased daily sales from consumers viewing Oki MKGR Store content and posts on Instagram and Facebook.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education require students to have adequate digital literacy competencies and ethical use of AI. However, various studies show that Indonesian students still face challenges in understanding data security, information verification, and the ethical boundaries of using AI-based technology. This community service activity aims to improve students' digital soft skills through digital literacy and AI ethics workshops, implemented in stages and collaboratively by lecturers from Malikussaleh University, Almuslim University, and the Kebangsaan Islamic University of Indonesia. A total of 100 students participated in the activity, which was divided into three waves to ensure effective interaction and mentoring. The activity methods included an initial survey, digital literacy training, case study-based AI ethics discussions, practices for responsible AI use, and four weeks of intensive mentoring. Evaluation results showed significant improvements in digital literacy, understanding of AI ethics, information verification skills, and digital security awareness. The average student score increased from 58.1 in the pre-test to 83.4 in the post-test, and 76% of participants demonstrated changes in more ethical behavior in using AI. This activity proves that a phased and collaborative training model is effective in strengthening students' digital competencies in the era of artificial intelligence.

Abstract

Bullying among children and adolescents is a social and educational issue that seriously impacts their social, emotional, and psychological development. Bullying prevention efforts require a comprehensive approach, involving the family as the primary educational environment, particularly mothers as primary educators. This Community Service activity aims to strengthen the role of mothers in bullying prevention by increasing understanding, awareness, and parenting skills oriented toward character building in children. The implementation method uses a brief educational approach based on interactive dialogue, beginning with the presentation of material on the concept of bullying, its forms and characteristics, and its impact on child development. This is followed by a participatory discussion and question-and-answer session. This activity is also supported by the distribution of printed media in the form of leaflets or pocket books as practical guides and to strengthen motivation to encourage the ongoing implementation of positive parenting. The results of the activity indicate an increase in mothers' understanding and awareness in recognizing bullying behavior, the importance of family communication, and the implementation of warm, responsive, and consistent parenting as a preventative measure. The participants' active participation in the discussion resulted in contextual and applicable parenting solutions and fostered mothers' commitment to acting as agents of bullying prevention within the family and community. Thus, this activity confirms that strengthening the role of mothers as madrasahul ula through a simple and participatory educational approach is an effective and efficient strategy for building a family- and community-based bullying prevention system.

Abstract

The declining reading interest among university students, particularly toward printed books, has become an issue that requires serious attention in the digital era characterized by various distractions. Low student engagement in reading activities negatively affects literacy skills, conceptual understanding, and the development of critical thinking. This community service activity aimed to enhance students’ reading interest, reading comprehension literacy, as well as critical thinking and communication skills through a book review activity of Atomic Habits by James Clear. The activity was conducted on December 19, 2025, involving 25 participants consisting of students from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program and volunteers from Dompet Dhuafa. The implementation method employed a dialogical approach and interactive discussions, beginning with a material presentation by the facilitator, followed by question-and-answer sessions and reflective discussions. The results indicated an increase in participants’ reading interest, as measured by high attendance rates and active participation during discussions. More than 80% of participants were actively involved in asking questions and expressing opinions. In addition, participants demonstrated improved understanding of the book’s content, enhanced ability to present logical arguments, and increased confidence in communicating in a forum. This activity also resulted in the formation of an active reading community as a follow-up effort to strengthen literacy culture. Therefore, the book review activity proved to be an effective community service strategy for sustainably improving students’ reading interest and literacy competencies

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini berjudul “Penyuluhan Hukum Pelestarian Lingkungan Daerah Pesisir”. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terkait penegakan hukum lingkungan mengenai pelestarian lingkungan daerah pesisir  sehingga dapat memberikan kepastian hukum dan perlindungan hukum serta pencegahan kerusakan lingkungan. Target capaian luaran kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah sebagai berikut: (a) publikasi pada jurnal ber-ISSN, (b) publikasi pada media massa, (c) peningkatan pemahaman hukum bagi masyarakat. Tahapan kegiatan yang akan dilakukan sebagai berikut: (a) tahap persiapan meliputi: survey; pemantapan dan penentuan lokasi dan sasaran; penyusunan bahan/materi pelatihan, yang meliputi: bahan tayangan, slide powerpoint, (b) tahap pelaksanaan meliputi: (1) penjelasan materi tentang pelestarian lingkungan daerah pesisir. Sesi ini juga menitikberatkan pada pemberian penjelasan hukum sebagai wujud edukasi kepada mitra, (2) penyuluhan hukum pelestarian lingkungan daerah pesisir tersebut dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian masyarakat dari perguruan tinggi dengan melibatkan mahasiswa.  Metode yang digunakan selama proses kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat meliputi: (a) metode ceramah dipilih untuk memberikan penjelasan langsung materi penyuluhan pelestarian lingkungan daerah pesisir, (b) metode tanya jawab yang memungkinkan masyarakat menggali pengetahuan sebanyak-banyaknya tentang materi penyuluhan.

Abstract

The phenomenon of rural poverty in Indonesia has a strong correlation with limited human capital capacity. The energy literacy deficit that arises from low educational background exacerbates economic vulnerability through inflated household energy consumption costs. This community service aims to increase the capacity of poor households in Alue Waki Village, Darul Makmur District, by strengthening energy poverty literacy based on P3KE (Purpose of Accelerating the Elimination of Extreme Poverty) microdata. The implementation method uses a participatory educational approach that includes counseling on energy-saving habits and technical demonstrations of energy expenditure efficiency to 35 poor household heads. Evaluation of the impact of this service is measured using pre-test and post-test instruments to see changes in knowledge and behavioral intentions. The results of the activity show an accumulative increase in community capacity of 73.1%, with a surge in self-confidence in adopting modern energy technology reaching 97.1%. Economically, this increase in literacy results in potential energy cost savings (projected) of 13.2%, or a decrease from an average of Rp193,500 to an estimated Rp168,000 per month if efficient behavior patterns are consistently implemented. This figure reflects the fiscal space available for poor households to allocate for children's nutrition and education needs. This community service concludes that human capital intervention through energy literacy education is a rational strategy for fostering economic independence for target households.

Abstract

Local coffee micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Cane Toa Village face several challenges, including the absence of a clear brand identity, limited financial management practices, and inadequate marketing strategies, which hinder their competitiveness and business sustainability. This community service activity aimed to strengthen the capacity of these local coffee MSMEs by enhancing business branding, providing guidance on simple financial record-keeping, and introducing basic product marketing strategies. The program employed a participatory approach, actively involving MSME actors as key partners throughout all stages, using interactive lectures, focused discussions, and hands-on practice. Implementation was carried out in three main stages: preparation and planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation, integrated with the student Community Service Program (KKN). The results demonstrated measurable improvements in participants’ competencies: all participants (100%) successfully developed basic branding elements including business names and simple logos, approximately 85% were able to independently maintain daily financial transaction records, and several participants began to apply structured product marketing strategies. Overall, the program effectively enhanced the professionalism and managerial capacity of local coffee businesses, contributed to economic self-reliance within the Cane Toa Village community, and provided a foundation for sustainable business development, although continued mentoring and institutional support are recommended to maintain long-term outcomes.

Abstract

The Independent Project's implementation of the Strategic Content Iteration Program (SCIP) on the Instagram account @themiracleofcom aimed to design a content production strategy to strengthen the branding of the @themiracleofcom Instagram account. The results of the service demonstrated that the implementation of the SCIP program was highly effective in significantly improving account performance. This was demonstrated by the achievement of 2,210 new followers, exceeding the initial target of 442%. This success was driven by an adaptive and data-driven content strategy through the PDCA cycle.

Abstract

Hu’u hot spring is a natural resource that emerges as a surface geological manifestation related to subsurface geothermal activity and has scientific and educational value for the local community. However, local community understanding of the geological processes, characteristics, and potential utilization of the hot spring remains limited, resulting in underutilization that is not yet knowledge-based or sustainable. This community service program aimed to introduce the potential of the Hu’u hot spring as a surface geological manifestation and to improve community awareness and understanding of its geological significance. The program was conducted using an educative and participatory approach, consisting of preparation, socialization and education, limited field observation, and qualitative evaluation. Educational activities were delivered through counseling sessions, interactive discussions, and simple visual media to explain basic geological concepts related to hot spring formation, while field observations were conducted directly at the hot spring site to identify observable surface manifestations. The results showed a measurable improvement in community understanding, indicated by increased participant ability to explain the origin of the hot spring, recognize key surface geological features, and articulate the importance of environmental preservation around the site. Participant engagement during discussions increased significantly, with more than two-thirds of attendees actively participating in question-and-answer sessions. The program also resulted in increased community awareness regarding the sustainable use of the hot spring as a local natural resource. Overall, this community service activity successfully enhanced geoscience literacy and provided a foundation for future community-based and sustainable utilization of the Hu’u hot spring.

Abstract

Fine motor skills involve the muscles in specific body parts. One activity that can improve fine motor skills in early childhood is Montessori play, which involves developing fine motor skills in the form of hand-eye coordination, hand and finger muscle strength, and activities such as playing with plasticine and geometric puzzles. This study aims to improve fine motor skills in early childhood through play activities at the Putri Nahrisyah Integrated Preschool. The fine motor skills studied included finger skills and eye coordination for activities. This study used classroom action research. Data analysis used qualitative data. The subjects were 3-4-year-old children at the Putri Nahrisyah Integrated Preschool. The results indicate that children's fine motor skills improved after being exposed to Montessori play activities.
