Abstract

The development of information technology requires educational institutions to optimize digital data management and academic services. However, at the senior high school (SMA) level, the utilization of website-based information systems is still not optimal due to limited user understanding and skills. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve digital literacy and the competence of teachers and education personnel in operating website-based school information systems. The implementation method includes needs analysis, material preparation, socialization through interactive training, direct practice of system use, and evaluation of participant understanding. The activity was carried out in the form of a workshop involving teachers, school operators, and administrative staff. The results of the activity showed an increase in participant understanding of information system features, such as student data management, grade management, academic information publication, and school communication. Evaluation through questionnaires and observations showed a positive response and an increase in participants' technical skills in operating the system. Thus, this socialization activity contributed to optimizing the use of website-based information systems to support more effective, efficient, and transparent school governance.

Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen the literacy culture of junior high school (SMP) students through the use of digital platforms as learning support media. The problems faced by the partners were low student reading interest, limited variety of literacy media, and suboptimal use of digital technology in school literacy activities. To address these issues, the community service team conducted training and mentoring on the use of digital literacy platforms integrated with the school literacy program. The implementation method included needs analysis, program socialization, training on digital platform use, classroom implementation practices, and evaluation and reflection with teachers and students. The evaluation instruments used participant response questionnaires, student participation observations, and activity documentation. The results of the activities showed increased student participation in digital reading activities, increased literacy motivation, and increased teacher competency in managing digital platforms as literacy media. Furthermore, the partner schools demonstrated a commitment to continuing the program through platform integration in routine literacy activities. This program has had a positive impact on strengthening a technology-based literacy culture and encouraging the transformation of literacy practices that are more adaptive to digital developments. Going forward, this mentoring model can be replicated in other schools with similar characteristics.

Abstract

This community service research aims to describe the implementation of morality-based guidance and counseling in an effort to prevent bullying behavior in junior high school students. The background of this activity is based on the increasing cases of bullying in the school environment which negatively impacts the psychological, social, and academic development of students. The approach used is a participatory approach through mentoring activities involving guidance and counseling teachers, students, and school officials. The implementation method includes socialization, group guidance services, individual counseling, and strengthening moral values ​​such as empathy, mutual respect, and responsibility. This activity is carried out in several stages, namely problem identification, program planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the activity show an increase in students' understanding of the impact of bullying and the importance of moral behavior in everyday life. In addition, there is a decrease in the tendency of bullying behavior as indicated by changes in attitudes and more positive social interactions of students. Guidance and counseling teachers also experienced increased competence in integrating moral values ​​in counseling services. Thus, morality-based guidance and counseling can be an effective strategy in creating a safe, comfortable, and conducive school environment for student development.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has had a significant impact on student learning patterns and behavior. While technology facilitates access to information, it also poses challenges in the form of low critical literacy skills in filtering valid and wise information. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve students' critical literacy skills in utilizing digital technology wisely and responsibly. The target group is high school students in Lubuklinggau City who have high access to digital devices but still have limited critical thinking skills regarding digital content. The methods used in this activity include socialization, training, and hands-on mentoring. The material provided includes an introduction to digital literacy, information evaluation techniques, hoax identification, digital media ethics, and the use of technology for productive learning activities. The mentoring activities are carried out interactively through discussions, case studies, and simulations of digital media use. The results of the activity indicate an increase in students' understanding of the importance of critical literacy in the use of digital technology. Students are able to identify valid information, understand the risks of spreading hoaxes, and demonstrate a wiser attitude in using social media and other digital sources. In addition, students are also starting to utilize technology as a more effective and creative learning tool. In conclusion, practice-based critical literacy mentoring has proven effective in increasing students' awareness and skills in using digital technology wisely. This activity is expected to become a sustainable model for strengthening digital literacy in schools, fostering a generation that is intelligent, critical, and responsible in the digital age.

Abstract

Kabupaten Musi Rawas memiliki potensi tanaman herbal seperti jahe, kunyit, temulawak, dan kencur yang selama ini hanya dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku jamu tradisional. Meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap gaya hidup sehat mendorong permintaan produk herbal lokal, namun inovasi produk jamu di Musi Rawas masih terbatas dalam bentuk cair tradisional. Pengembangan dodol jamu tradisional menjadi salah satu inovasi pangan fungsional yang potensial karena memiliki daya simpan lebih lama, praktis dikonsumsi, dan dapat diterima oleh berbagai kalangan usia. Permasalahan utama mitra meliputi rendahnya inovasi produk, keterbatasan teknologi pengolahan, lemahnya penerapan sanitasi dan higienitas, belum adanya merek produk, serta kemasan yang masih sederhana sehingga sulit bersaing di pasar modern. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku usaha melalui pelatihan produksi, inovasi formulasi dodol jamu, pengemasan modern, serta penguatan branding dan pemasaran. Kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu menghasilkan produk dodol jamu yang higienis, bernilai tambah, menarik, dan berdaya saing tinggi sehingga dapat menjadi produk unggulan lokal Kabupaten Musi Rawas sekaligus mendukung pengembangan UMKM berbasis herbal tradisional.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students' abilities in developing and using ethics-based interactive media in Citizenship Education (PKn) learning. The problem faced by the partners is the students' limited understanding regarding the use of interactive, educational, and ethical digital media in the learning process. The implementation method of the activity is carried out through the stages of socialization, training, mentoring, interactive media creation practice, and activity evaluation. Participants in the activity are students who participated in ethics-based interactive media training. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, questionnaires, and documentation during the activity. The results of the activity indicate that this training is able to improve students' knowledge and skills in designing interactive learning media that are interesting, communicative, and in accordance with digital ethical values. In addition, participants demonstrated an increased understanding of the importance of using digital media wisely, responsibly, and respecting copyright in Civics learning. This community service activity has a positive impact on improving students' digital competence and supports the creation of innovative and character-based Civics learning.

Abstract

Low historical literacy among teachers and students presents a challenge in history teaching in the digital era. Conventional teaching makes historical material less engaging and contextual for students. This mentoring activity aims to improve the historical literacy of teachers and students through the implementation of Digital Heritage Learning. The program is implemented through training, mentoring, and practical use of digital media based on local cultural heritage in history teaching. Teachers and students are actively involved in exploring digital historical sources, introducing cultural sites, and using interactive learning technology. The results of the activity indicate that the implementation of Digital Heritage Learning can improve historical understanding, historical thinking skills, and student interest in learning. Teachers also gain the ability to integrate digital technology into history teaching in a more innovative and contextual way. In addition, the use of digital media based on local cultural heritage provides a more engaging learning experience while strengthening students' cultural awareness. Thus, historical literacy mentoring through Digital Heritage Learning can be an effective alternative learning strategy to support the transformation of history education in the digital era and improve the quality of learning to be more interactive and meaningful.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) untuk mampu menghadirkan pembelajaran yang inovatif, interaktif, dan bermakna. Namun, pada kenyataannya masih banyak guru PAI yang menggunakan metode ceramah dan hafalan sehingga pembelajaran belum sepenuhnya mendukung pendekatan deep learning. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAI dalam mengembangkan multimedia interaktif berbasis deep learning pada pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Metode kegiatan dilakukan melalui lokakarya, pelatihan praktik, pendampingan, dan evaluasi penerapan media pembelajaran. Peserta kegiatan terdiri dari guru PAI sekolah dasar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa lokakarya mampu meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang konsep deep learning, keterampilan penggunaan teknologi pembelajaran, serta kemampuan mengembangkan multimedia interaktif berbasis web. Guru menjadi lebih kreatif dalam mendesain pembelajaran yang kontekstual, reflektif, dan berpusat pada siswa.

Abstract

Learning communities are a crucial component in supporting the transformation of learning within the School Mover program. However, the implementation of learning communities in Empat Lawang Regency still faces various obstacles, such as low teacher understanding, minimal facilitation, and a weak culture of collaboration among educators. This community service activity aims to optimize the function of learning communities at the elementary school level through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. This approach actively involves teachers, principals, and supervisors in training, mentoring, and joint reflection. The activities were carried out in several elementary schools designated as School Mover using interactive training methods, discussion forums, and ongoing monitoring. The results of the activities showed an increase in teacher understanding and participation in learning communities, an increase in the frequency and quality of collaborative activities, and the growth of a reflective and collaborative culture within the school environment. In addition, the support of principals and supervisors also strengthened the sustainability of the learning community program. Thus, optimizing learning communities has proven effective in increasing teacher capacity and supporting the creation of more innovative, collaborative, and sustainable learning at the School Mover elementary school level in Empat Lawang Regency.

Abstract

Regional languages ​​play a crucial role in maintaining cultural identity and supporting contextual learning in schools. However, the use of regional languages ​​in the learning process still faces various obstacles, particularly the limited understanding and skills of prospective teachers in integrating them pedagogically. This community service activity aims to improve the competence of prospective Indonesian language teachers in integrating regional languages ​​into the learning process. The activity method is carried out through mentoring, training, discussions, and practice in developing regional language-based learning materials. Participants in the activity consisted of prospective Indonesian language teacher students who were equipped with an understanding of the importance of preserving regional languages ​​and strategies for implementing them in learning. The results of the activity showed that participants experienced an increase in understanding and skills in designing lessons that utilize regional languages ​​as contextual learning resources. In addition, participants showed a positive response to the application of regional languages ​​as a medium to increase student engagement and strengthen cultural literacy. This activity contributes to strengthening the pedagogical competence of prospective teachers while supporting efforts to preserve regional languages ​​through education.
