Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine the suitability of al-Arabīyah Baina Yadai Aulādinā textbook material in the first volume by Abdurrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Fauzan and Muhammad bin Abdurrahman Alu Sheikh with the principles of preparing textbooks for non-Arabic speakers belonging to Nashir Abdullah Al-Ghali and Abdul Hamid Abdullah and with good book criteria in terms of material selection, material gradient, material presentation, and material repetition owned by William Francis Mackey. This research is library research with a content analysis method. The results of this research are, 1) generally, the teaching material of the first volume of the al-Arabīyah Baina Yadai Aulādinā book is following the principles of preparing textbooks for non-Arabic speakers. It is based on the requirements of social and cultural principles, the requirements of psychological principles, and the requirements of language and educational principles. 2) The teaching material of this book is following the characteristics of a good book by William Francis Mackey, namely based on the aspects of material selection, material gradient, material presentation, and material repetition. However, in the aspect of material selection, the analysis of the suitability of material selection based on learning objectives cannot be done because there are no learning objectives in the book. Abstract

A good test form can measure student’s real abilities and trigger students' cognitive abilities. The main problem in this study, whether the test form in the Durūs Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyyah book has met good criteria based on the cognitive domains. This study aims to analyze the test in the book of Durūs Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyyah by Imam Zarkasyi and Imam Syubani. This book is widely used in various institutions, and gave birth to many Arabic language experts, Therefore, the researcher wanted to analys the assessment and evaluation structure of the tests in this book. This research uses a qualitative literature study research method. This research method is carried out using descriptive analysis, which is a form of research that provides an organized description of the entire Arabic test to be studied. The results obtained from this research are: First, the form of tests is mostly in the form of memory questions (objective tests) and the form of fill-in questions (subjective tests), and second, the advantages of the book Durūs Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyyah volume 1 are that it is very good for beginners who want to learn the language. Complete with Arabic language material; vocabulary, text, images, to various tests, then the disadvantage is that it uses several objective tests that are commonly used. Abstract

Since the text linguistics study was invented, its role as a tool of text analysis may not fully recognized. Besides, it mostly covered the study of contemporary text, though it was used by some scholars in analysing of Arabic classical texts. Yet, some scholars were refused to use it as it was seemed not suit on literary study field. Meanwhile, there were rhetorical study which can be focused on that field. Unfortunately, researcher was seeing this in a opposite side. Whereas there is a scholar named Robert de Beaugerande who invented and standardized the standard way of text analysing so called the Seven Standards of Textuality and develop them on English linguistic studies. Thus, by knowing their significance in linguistic studies, this study aims to approach one of the Seven Standards which is Cohesion and study it practically on the “Kalīla wa Dimna” as classical literary texts, seeking for the linguistic values of texts and prove the effectiveness of study. The result of this reserch is that the seven textual standards established by Robert de Beaugrand have many functions that are important during the study of written texts, especially while analyzing them within the framework of as-sabk, which is one of the most important criteria in text formation and interpretation. Abstract

In case of rapid transformations and global needs, educational curriculum must adapt to these changes. Thus, the Ministry of Religious Affairs issued Decree KMA 183 of 2019, aimed at preparing students to understand Islamic principles and fostering Islamic culture, including the Arabic language. The researcher applied a descriptive content analysis method to investigate the implementation of KMA 183 of 2019 and assess it according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) standards in Arabic language education in Indonesia. This article analyzes the curriculum using the CEFR framework to determine Arabic language learning levels at the elementary level. The study found a positive alignment between the KMA 183 curriculum and CEFR standards, contributing to improved Arabic language education for non-native speakers and enhancing students' linguistic and cultural competencies. The researcher hopes that those responsible for Arabic language learning and teaching in Indonesian elementary schools will take this matter seriously, implementing the KMA 183 curriculum for Arabic education, as it aligns effectively with the established standard.

Abstract

Understanding Al-Furūq  Al- Lugawiyyah in Arabic is very important for learners to avoid the misuse of synonyms. However, many learners still have difficulty in understanding the difference of meaning and the proper use of synonyms. This study aims to design an Al-Furūq  Al- Lugawiyyah dictionary that focuses on vocabulary that is often used in everyday life. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, but this research only concentrates on the Analysis and Design stages. The data collection method is through observation and interviews conducted at STIBA Ar-Raayah Sukabumi, and also refers to books and scientific works related to research. This research resulted in the design of a dictionary that could add to the understanding of Al-Furūq Al- Lugawiyyah by showing significant differences in meaning and usage between synonymous words such as أب and, والد   أعادandعودة, كرر  and رجوع and others. This dictionary is designed with Arabic-Indonesian bilingual, arranged alphabetically and equipped with explanations of differences in meaning, examples of use, and references from the Qur'an and Hadith. However, in the design of this dictionary, the author only includes 50 vocabularies, so the author hopes that further research can produce a dictionary with a larger number of vocabularies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the management of the implementation of the Arabic language learning program at Markaz Lughah Arabiyah Puncak Darussalam Madura and also to find out the problems faced in the implementation of the program. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection through observation techniques, semi-structured interviews and documentation. While analyzing the data through the analysis theory of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana which consists of data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the management of the implementation of the Arabic language learning program at Markaz Lughah Arabiyah Puncak Darussalam Madura went well, seen from the activities of the students were very enthusiastic in participating in the program, namely the students could follow the activities until the specified time limit. In order to maximize language learning, Arabic is used as a daily communication tool. The problems faced by the markaz are the lack of teaching staff, limited facilities and learning resources, and limited learning time which affects the effectiveness of the learning process. Despite the shortcomings, the learning program held by the markaz can still run smoothly and well, where within the specified time (two semesters / one year), the students have been able to master Arabic well.

Abstract

The educational process in the Arabic Language Education Department at the State Islamic University of Professor Kiai Haji Saifuddin Zuhri, Purwokerto, was conducted based on the Merdeka curriculum. This curriculum includes various models, such as the problem-based model, the project-based model, and the student-interest-based model. The educational process in the Arabic Language Education Department was carried out using the Merdeka curriculum, with several models depending on the teacher's capabilities. This research aimed to reveal the models used in the educational process based on the Merdeka curriculum. The researchers employed a qualitative approach in this study, which was a field study. They chose interviews, observations, and documentation to collect data. The data analysis method used was data reduction, presentation, and then drawing conclusions. After conducting the study, the researchers found that the models used in the educational process in the Arabic Language Education Department at the State Islamic University of Professor Kiai Haji Saifuddin Zuhri, Purwokerto, were project-based learning in some lessons, project-based learning in others, inquiry-based learning, discovery-based learning, and collaborative learning, which were applied frequently across all subjects in the Arabic Language Education Department.

Abstract

The Arabic language is rich in linguistic styles, and among these is the style of Qashr. When comparing this style with the grammatical rules of the Indonesian language, we find that the Indonesian language also possesses a Qashr style. This study aims to identify the similarities and differences in the style of Al Qashr between Arabic and Indonesian, focusing on how to construct the style of Al Qashr, as well as to know how to teach the style of Al Qashr in Arabic. The research also uses the contrastive descriptive method and to collect data on the subject of shortening, data collection tools were used, documentation and observation, through Arabic and Indonesian grammar books, balaghah book and university journals from the two languages. To analyze the data obtained, the researcher used the method of constrastive analysis. The result of this research are three: 1) What is agreed upon in the two languages, such as the style of Al Qashr with innama, lakin, bal, and taqdim haqqahu takhir 2) What is specific to Arabic, such as the style of Al Qashr with la, an-nafyu and al-istisna’ 3) What is specific to Indonesian. And how to teach the style of Al Qashr in Arabic begins with the style agreed upon between the two languages, such as the style of Al Qashr with the word innama and bal lakin and the presentation of what is due to delay in Arabic. After that, they move to teaching the style of shortening specific to Arabic.

Abstract

Learning media "UNO Sharf" is a learning media of small cards modified from the UNO card game as a tool used by teachers in teaching or assisting teachers in providing understanding of certain concepts in learning, especially in Shorf lessons. In the initial observation at the institution, especially during teaching and learning activities, it was still faced with various problems, which affected the students' low scores. With this problem, researchers tried to provide a solution in the form of learning media "UNO Sharf" in Sharf lesson. The research was conducted using quantitative pre-experimental methods by design and the collection of data through test. From this study, it was concluded that the results were obtained, namely variable (X) learning media "UNO Sharf" effective if applied to variable (Y) class 2 KMI Sharf Lesson at the Kulliyyatul Mu’allimin al Islamiyyah Ar-Ridho Sentul. This can be seen from the results of the analysis test using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test method which is intended with a significance of 0.000 < 0.050, meaning that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Then the average positive rank of 25 students was 13.00. Based on valid test results, researchers suggest that the learning media "UNO Sharf" can be used as a learning medium at the Kulliyyatul Mu’allimin al Islamiyyah Ar-Ridho Sentul create a good teaching and learning atmosphere and make teachers more creative and innovative.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the quality of the vocabulary contained in the Arabic language textbooks for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level, published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in 2020, based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) guidelines. This study is purely a library research. The analytical technique used is content analysis, which is an effort to reveal the contents of a book. The results of this study indicate that the number of vocabulary words in the Arabic language textbooks for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2020 does not meet the CEFR standard requirements. The vocabulary level in these books does not reach the A1 level (the lowest level) in the CEFR due to the fact that the textbooks contain 353 vocabulary words, whereas the A1 level of the CEFR requires 500 vocabulary words, thus needing an additional 147 words to reach the A1 level.
