This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the formation of plural phrases in the irregular plural noun dictionary Al-Mu'jam al-?ag?r lijum?' al-Taks?r by M. Muslikhin and identify their absorption patterns for learning Arabic at the Al-Azhar Language Course Institute, Pare Kediri. This qualitative research was done with two approaches: library research and case studies. Data sources were obtained from the dictionary and Arabic language course activities at the Al-Azhar Pare Kediri Language Course Institute. Data collection techniques were conducted by documentation and observation, and data analysis techniques were done by using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the compilation of the irregular plural noun dictionary of Al-Mu'jam al-?ag?r lijum?' al-Taks?r by M. Muslikhin has positive-pragmatic value in the development of Arabic lexicography and learning Arabic in Indonesia. Dictionaries that form particular phrases into plural phrases follow the pattern of wazan jam'u al-qillah wa jam'u al-ka?rah. Some mu??ala??t in the dictionary is formed constructively (musytaq) and permanently (j?mid). Dictionaries are arranged in alphabetical order and are thematic. It is very appropriate to help with Arabic language course activities with various programs available at LKB Al-Azhar Pare Kediri and external institutions. The theoretical implication of this research is to develop Arabic lexicographic discourse in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the practical implication is to make it easier to search for Shighat Jama' Taksir on verbs in the dictionary.

Language is an effective medium of communication. Arabic certainly has many contributions that cannot be avoided from human life. This research aims to discover Arabic's position and role in Indonesian society. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques of observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study indicate that (1) the position of Arabic in Indonesian society has broad benefits, namely as a source of knowledge, as a strengthening of daily worship, and as moral formation. (2) The role of Arabic in Indonesian society has a contribution, namely as a language of international communication, as a source of absorption language for Indonesians, and as a language of diplomacy (economic, political, and cultural). The use of communicative context, repetition, visual associations, and accurate pronunciation are essential elements contributing to Arabic vocabulary learning. This study investigates how communicative vocabulary learning and its contributing elements are implemented at Madrosatul Alsun in the context of non-formal education. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation in the classroom, and documentation. The obtained data is qualitatively analyzed in three phases: first, through condensation involving data selection, purification, simplification, summarization, and transformation; second, through data display to facilitate understanding of the issues; and third, drawing conclusions, where data interpretation is performed. The results indicate that vocabulary learning is conducted by integrating it with other skills, using various techniques, including direct conjugation, definitions, synonyms, antonyms, and visual references, and translating only under specific conditions. The discussion of these findings provides new insights into the model of "meaningful words in meaningful learning," a pattern of vocabulary learning within a communicative approach in a course classroom context distinct from the formal education classroom context.

This study aimed to investigate the impact of Jambi Malay language interference on communication in Arabic. This study used a descriptive-analytical approach and combined corpus analysis methods, interviews, and observations to collect relevant data. The participants of the study were Jambi Malay speakers, in this case, the students of Pondok Pesantren Modern Darussalam Gontor 10 Muara Sabak Jambi, who used Arabic in daily communication. The results showed that interference of Jambi Malay affected Arabic communication in several aspects. Regarding phonology, differences are found in pronouncing certain Arabic sounds, which can lead to inaccuracies and misunderstandings in using Arabic. In terms of vocabulary, this interference results in the use of loan words or meaning adaptation of Arabic words in Jambi Malay, causing changes in the meaning and misuse of words in Arabic communication. Jambi Malay sentence patterns, such as the placement of subjects at the end of sentences, affect how sentences are arranged in Arabic and cause discrepancies with correct Arabic grammar. Interference is also seen in using different conjunctions and connecting words between Jambi Malay and Arabic. This study provides an in-depth understanding of the impact of Jambi Malay interference on Arabic communication.

This study aims to understand the mispronunciation of the consonant /f/ in Arabic by Javanese Speakers (JS), Sundanese Speakers (SS) and Batak Speakers (BS). The focus is on the sound /f/ as it can shift to /p/ when spoken by speakers of various L1 languages. Javanese, Sundanese, and Batak were chosen because of their prominence in Indonesia. Using a descriptive-evaluative-comparative approach, the researchers analyzed the pronunciation of /f/ by JS, SS, BS, contrasted with a native speaker (NS), Sheikh Misyari bin Rasyid Al-'Afasi. The research data was in the form of sound recordings of the recitation of nine verses of the Quran with the sound /f/, collected using the listen-record-pay-attention technique and analyzed acoustically through Praat. The findings reveal phonetic interference in pronouncing/f/ at the beginning, middle, and end of words by SS and BS. In JS, it only occurs at the beginning and the end. The absence of sound /f/ in the phonological system of local languages can cause this interference. The implication lies in learning to listen and speak Arabic, helping to design strategies to overcome pronunciation errors when encountering foreign sounds in the learner's phonological system.

The utilization of bilingual learning media based on educative magazines has been widely found in various educational practices today. However, its existence is still limited to being used in the field of science, even though the essence of the magazine as a mass communication medium is very close to its role in the language field. Therefore, this study aims to develop an educative magazine-based bilingual learning medium to improve Arabic and English vocabulary skills. This development research using Dick & Carey's 1950 ADDIE model focuses on media development, so this research maximizes the process of analysis, design, development, and formative evaluation stages at each stage. Sources of research data are primary and secondary data obtained by interview techniques, literature studies, and expert test questionnaires. The data collected was then analyzed by using the interrater-agreement model technique to find a validity index. The research results based on language and material expert tests show an index of 1.0 with revisions. In contrast, the research results based on media expert tests show an index of 0.85 with revisions. Thus, it shows that this medium is very easy, precise, interesting, and suitable for future application in the bilingual learning process, which aims to understand and improve bilingual vocabulary.

This study evaluates the use of lexical cohesion in Arabic textbooks published by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. This qualitative research applies systemic functional linguistics analysis to the Class XII Madrasah Aliyah Arabic textbook. Research data was taken from five reading materials using proficient free-involved listening techniques and analyzed using the framework of lexical cohesion theory. The research results show the use of lexical cohesion devices consisting of repetition (71.4%), synonymy (9.8%), antonymy (3.2%), hyponymy (8.1%), meronymy (6.5%), and collocation (1.0%). From the distribution and quality aspect, lexical cohesion could be more effective and efficient. Quantitatively, the large number of gaps in the lexical cohesion devices shows the ineffectiveness of using cohesion devices. Qualitatively, the uneven distribution of each cohesion device uncovers the ineffectiveness of all reading materials. This study recommends developing reading material in textbooks by using lexical cohesion evenly. Through this development, textbooks will become effective learning instruments to improve students' vocabulary, reading, and writing
