Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to explore the impact of halal certification on tourist satisfaction and behavioral intention. The primary focus is to understand the extent to which halal certification influences the experiences of tourists within the context of halal culinary offerings.Design/methodology: The research employs an experimental methodology, with an experimental design structured as (visual label, textual label) x 2 (halal content warning label, non-label) between subjects. The study involves 120 tourists visiting various attractions across Bengkulu Province. Participants were randomly assigned to different experimental cells, each exposed to distinct stimuli, to assess the effects of halal certification.Findings: The results of the study support all proposed hypotheses. The halal certification label on halal culinary products has a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction. Additionally, the presence of halal certification significantly influences tourists' behavioral intentions.Practical implications: The findings of this research provide valuable insights for policymakers, particularly government authorities, in formulating and enhancing policies related to halal certification and tourism development in Indonesia.Originality/Value: This research contributes to the literature by addressing a theoretical gap concerning the effectiveness of halal certification in the context of halal tourism. The study offers a substantial academic contribution, with implications for policy formulation in the tourism sector.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the development of market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation and their effects on the marketing performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Bengkulu Province. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The sampling method used non probability with judgmental techniques (purposive) with a total sample of 270. The results showed that SMEs in Bengkulu Province had run their business with market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation in good categories. When viewed from the marketing performance, most of them have achieved a fairly good level of performance as well. For this reason, if we look at the influence between variables, market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation have a positive and significant effect at the marketing performance of SMEs in Bengkulu Province. This means that the better market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation, the better marketing performance for SMEs in Bengkulu Province. Thus, the hypothesis which states that market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation have a positive and significant effect on marketing performance for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can be accepted

Abstract

Pemanfaatan layanan pembelajaran menjadi solusi dalam meningkatkan proses kemandirian belajar mahasiswa Universitas Terbuka (UT). Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi mahasiswa UT Bengkulu dalam memanfaatkan layanan bantuan belajar. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi di UT Bengkulu, dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis dengan pendekatan analisis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan layanan bantuan belajar, yaitu minat pribadi mahasiswa terhadap mata kuliah; tuntutan akademik, dukungan keluarga, kemandirian belajar mahasiswa, dan lingkungan belajar antara dosen, tutor, dan teman sekelas. Implikasinya adalah diperlukan pemahaman lebih dalam terhadap minat dan kebutuhan individu serta respon mahasiswa terhadap tuntutan akademiknya. Selanjutnya, kemandirian belajar perlu didorong melalui pelatihan dan panduan, serta peran dosen, tutor, dan rekan sekelas perlu diperkuat dalam memberikan dukungan akademik yang efektif. Terakhir, perlu dilakukan pemantauan dan evaluasi rutin untuk memastikan efektivitas bantuan layanan belajar yang diberikan oleh UT Bengkulu.

Abstract

Inventory is a very important asset for trading and industry companies because it is a source of revenue for the company. Inventory is very adamant to damage and crime, therefore it is necessary internal control of inventory. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out how the application of internal control of merchandise inventory on the CV. Mita Jaya. In this writing, the method of analysis used is descriptive analysis method. Data collection methods used in this paper is to make direct observation, interviews and literature study by studying reference books and similar previous research results to get the theoretical basis of the problem to be studied. The result of this research is internal control system on inventory at CV. Mita Jaya includes procedures for purchasing / ordering merchandise, sales procedures and procedures for receipt of merchandise. In the application of this internal control there are several parties responsible for monitoring and overseeing the process of transactions related to merchandise inventory.

Abstract

One of the environmental problems that is often encountered in daily life is waste. Waste is a never-ending problem because its volume continues to increase along with population growth. The volume of waste produced by households is the second largest after industrial waste. In our daily lives we can never be separated from what is called rubbish. The problem of waste is not a new problem, because until now the waste problem has not been resolved properly, so its management needs to be carried out comprehensively and integrated from upstream to downstream in order to provide economic benefits, be healthy for the community, and be safe for the environment. In order to help the community understand how to manage waste properly, this community service aims to provide knowledge to the community or residents in Penembang village regarding the meaning of waste, characteristics of waste, waste management, good waste management planning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi responden terhadap inovasi produk dan keunggulan bersaing UMKM di Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu judgemental (purposive) berjumlah 140 responden yang merupakan pemilik/ pelaku dan karyawan usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) di Kota Bengkulu. Metode pengumpulan data digunakan kuesioner/ angket dengan metode analisis dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode rata-rata (mean) dan tabel distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa UMKM di Kota Bengkulu cenderung lebih fokus pada inovasi produk dalam bentuk perluasan produk dan peniruan produk yang sudah ada, dengan sedikit penekanan pada pengembangan produk yang benar-benar baru. Dalam hal keunggulan bersaing, UMKM di Bengkulu menunjukkan kekuatan dalam aspek produksi dan keterampilan, namun masih memiliki tantangan dalam pengelolaan pembiayaan dan waktu pemasaran produk. Secara keseluruhan, meskipun UMKM di Kota Bengkulu menunjukkan performa yang cukup baik, ada beberapa area yang perlu diperbaiki untuk meningkatkan daya saing mereka di pasar.Kata kunci: Inovasi Produk, Keunggulan Bersaing, UMKM

Abstract

Abstrak: Di Sekolah Dasar Alam Mahira Bengkulu, pertunjukan seni diadakan setiap bulan sebagai bagian dari praktik pembelajaran bagi siswa. Namun sering terjadi kendala yakni, mininimnya keterampilan makeup dan bahan bahan yang aman untuk anak dan guru serta manajemen seni pertunjukan. Tujuan Pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan keterampilan softskill dan hardskill mereka dalam seni dan manajemen pertunjukan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui beberapa metode, di antaranya ceramah, simulasi praktik dan diskusi kelompok terarah (FGD). Program ini meliputi pelatihan keterampilan tata rias pertunjukan, penggunaan dan pembuatan masker organik yang aman untuk kulit, serta manajemen pertunjukan. PKM telah dilaksanakan dan mitra yang aktik mengikuti pelatihan ini berjumlah 50 orang guru. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan tata rias dan manajemen pertunjukan seni memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan guru-guru di Sekolah Alam Mahira Bengkulu. Evaluasi menggunakan angket pretest dan post-test. Hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan yang jelas dalam pemahaman guru terhadap teknik tata rias, manajemen pertunjukan seni, serta pembuatan dan penggunaan masker organik. Peningkatan skor dari 55% pada pre-test menjadi 85% pada post-test mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan dasar guru dalam hal tersebut.Abstract: Mahira Nature Elementary School in Bengkulu, art performances are held every month as part of students’ learning activities. However, there are frequent challenges, such as the teachers’ limited makeup skills, the lack of safe materials for students and teachers, and the need for better performance management. This community service program aims to improve the teachers’ soft skills and hard skills in the fields of art and performance management. The program was carried out through various methods, including lectures, practical simulations, and focused group discussions (FGDs). The activities included training in stage makeup techniques, the safe use and production of organic face masks, and performance management skills. The community service program has been implemented with 50 teachers actively participating in the training sessions. The results show that the training in makeup and performance management had a significant positive impact on enhancing the skills of teachers at Mahira Nature Elementary School. The evaluation was conducted using questionnaires. The pre-test and post-test results showed a clear improvement in the teachers’ understanding of stage makeup techniques, performance management, as well as the production and use of organic masks. The increase in scores from 55% in the pre-test to 85% in the post-test indicates that this training successfully improved the teachers’ basic skills in these areas.

Abstract

Abstrak: Fokus utama pendidikan anak usia dini, terutama di TK dan PAUD, adalah pengembangan kreativitas dan imajinasi. Guru memainkan peran kunci dalam merangsang perkembangan kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Tim Universitas Terbuka bersama HIMPAUDI merespons kebutuhan guru dengan menyelenggarakan edukasi mengenai stimulasi perkembangan motorik anak melalui karya tari sederhana. Pelatihan ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan guru dan manajemen pertunjukan, diharapkan memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kualitas pendidikan . Metode penyampaian materi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran partisipatif dengan pemberian materi dan pelaksanaan praktik. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di TK Patria Dharma Bengkulu, diikuti oleh 60 Guru yang tergabung dalam HIMPAUDI. Dalam pelaksanaannya, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan ilmu tentang tata rias pertunjukan, manajemen pembelajaran, dan penggunaan permainan edukatif. Dari 50 peserta guru TK, 40 orang atau 80% berhasil melakukan tata rias seni pertunjukan dengan baik, yang berarti mereka telah berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan mereka secara signifikan. Dalam aspek manajerial, terdapat peningkatan kemampuan sebesar 83% berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest. Selain itu, semua guru (100%) tertarik untuk mengajarkan permainan ular tangga yang dimodifikasi dengan produk pertanian kepada siswa, mengindikasikan minat yang tinggi terhadap metode pembelajaran interaktif ini.Abstract: The main focus of early childhood education, especially in kindergartens and early childhood education centers (PAUD), is the development of creativity and imagination. Teachers play a key role in stimulating cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development. The Open University team, together with HIMPAUDI, responds to the needs of teachers by organizing education on stimulating children's motor development through simple dance movements. This training aims to enhance teachers' skills and performance management, with the expectation of making a positive contribution to the quality of education. The delivery method involves a participatory learning approach with both theoretical instruction and practical implementation. This community engagement activity took place at TK Patria Dharma Bengkulu and involved 60 teachers affiliated with HIMPAUDI. Throughout the program, participants learned about stage makeup, lesson management, and the use of educational games. Positive feedback from teachers indicates that the training successfully improved their skills in managing art performances within schools. Consequently, this program is expected to significantly contribute to enhancing the quality of early childhood education by developing children's creativity, imagination, and motor skills.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Bank Sampah Betandang dengan mitra beranggotakan 23 orang. Permasalahan utama mitra adalah rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat, lemahnya manajemen organisasi, serta belum optimalnya pemasaran produk daur ulang pada bank sampah betandang. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kapasitas hardskil dan softskill mitra melalui kapasitas kelembagaan dan meningkatkan nilai ekonomi melalui pelatihan manajemen organisasi, pendampingan pengolahan produk kreatif, dan pelatihan digital marketing. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, FGD, pelatihan partisipatif, dan pendampingan langsung. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test, observasi, serta wawancara. Hasil menunjukkan anggota bank sampah mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan yang ditunjukkan dari 48,7% menjadi 82,6%. Mitra kini mampu mengolah limbah plastik menjadi berbagai produk kreatif bernilai ekonomi seperti eco-enzyme, alat bantu pembelajaran, kerajinan tangan, dan kostum daur ulang, serta memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk promosi dan pemasaran produk. Bank sampah mampu menghasilkan empat jenis produk kreatif bernilai jual dan membentuk satu Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUBE). Program ini berdampak pada peningkatan keterampilan, kemandirian ekonomi, dan penguatan peran bank sampah sebagai penggerak ekonomi sirkular masyarakat pesisir.Abstract: This community service activity was carried out at the Betandang with 23 members as partners. The main problems faced by the partners were low community participation, weak organizational management, and suboptimal marketing of recycled products at the Betandang waste bank. The objectives of this activity were to improve the partners' hard and soft skills through institutional capacity building and to increase economic value through organizational management training, creative product processing assistance, and digital marketing training. The implementation methods included socialization, focus group discussions, participatory training, and direct assistance. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests, observation, and interviews. The results show that waste bank members experienced an increase in understanding and skills, as indicated by a score increase from 48.7% to 82.6%. Partners are now able to process plastic waste into various creative products with economic value, such as eco-enzymes, learning aids, handicrafts, and recycled costumes, as well as utilize digital technology for product promotion and marketing. The waste bank is able to produce four types of creative products with market value and has formed a Joint Business Group. This program has had an impact on improving skills, economic independence, and strengthening the role of waste banks as drivers of the circular economy in coastal communities.

Abstract

The phenomenon of measuring behavioral loyalty on specific stores or merchants obviously popular, particularly despite the existence of structural and fundamental criticism on specific issue. The objectives of this research is to examine the antecedents of customer loyalty specifically on store loyalty. We operate survey method to gather primary data. The focus of the research is to examine the effect of perceived value, store image, and customer satisfaction on store loyalty. The results indicate that customer who perceive low perception of procedural switching costs and high perception of procedural switching costs experienced different perception in their perceived value on customer satisfaction, perceived value on loyalty, and store image on customer satisfaction. The results shows that the perceived value, store image, and customer satisfaction has a positive and significant relationship of store loyalty in the different perception of procedural switching costs. Furthermore, procedural switching costs play a significant role in moderating the relationship between customer satisfaction and store loyalty. There was an indirect effect in the relationship between perceived value and store loyalty, which was mediated by customer satisfaction. The indirect effect of the relationship between store image and store loyalty was also proven to be mediated by the customer satisfaction.
