Abstract

This research reveals Islamic education based on local wisdom at Islamic Boarding School ISC Aswaja Lintang Songo Piyungan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. This type of research is field research with a qualitative approach. The research data was taken from three sources, namely: 1). Observation several times, 2). Interviews with pesantren leaders, administrators, instructors, students, and residents around the pesantren, and 3). Documentation of various related information. The results show that all actions and activities carried out by pesantren residents (kiai, administrators, clerics, and students) at Islamic Boarding School ISC Aswaja Lintang Songo could be seen as a form of applying education and forming noble (uploading) personalities based on local wisdom. Therefore, this pesantren manages its education system in four ways, namely religious education, skills education, extracurricular education, and character education. Keywords: Islamic Education, Local Wisdom, Islamic Boarding School

Abstract

This research aimed to find out how the implementation of authentic assessment in online learning for fiqh subjects in class XI IIK 2 MA Al Ma'had An-Nur Bantul. This research was qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis method used the theory of Miles and Huberman. Not only that, the checking technique of the data validity used several criteria. The research results revealed that (1) includes competency assessment during the online learning process, the teacher saw student activity when participating in learning through Google Meet. (2) Knowledge Competence using written assessment instrument techniques and assignments or projects. (3) The psychomotor competence of students to practice creative and innovative skills. The assessment results could be seen from two things, namely, students were able to understand the material provided, and students were trained in honest behavior. The supporting factors were teachers, school facilities, and quota assistance. While the inhibiting factors were that the assessment was not very effective during the pandemic, learning was not conducive, and the lack of communication between teachers and students so that the administrators were overwhelmed in dealing with existing problems

Abstract

This research aims to explain how the existence of Islamic Boarding School (pesantren) ISC Aswaja Lintang Songo Piyungan Yogyakarta in implementing education that liberates its students and how progressivism views a liberating education in this pesantren. This research is naturalistic qualitative research and the strategy used is a case study. At the same time, these research objects are a pesantren leader (kiai) and several senior teachers. The data obtained through observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model analysis. This research indicates that independent education in this pesantren is the starting point for implementing liberating education. This pesantren has an education system which is different from other pesantren, in that kiai gives liberation for their students (santri) to choose activities inside and outside pesantren. Therefore, in the view of progressivism, there are at least five things seen from the education process in this pesantren, namely 1). Kiai does not use their leadership in an authoritarian manner, 2). Kiai never carries out an exclusive educational process, 3). Kiai gives flexibility to santri in understanding Islamic education material, 4). Pesantren education has to continue to be open to social realities, and 5). The educational process carried out in pesantren is education of individual and social awareness.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to determine student learning styles, teacher strategies in teaching based on student learning styles, and the implications of student learning styles in Thematic learning in class III A MIN 3 Bantul Yogyakarta. The research is conducted using qualitative methods, with the type of field research, data collection techniques are carried out by observation, documentation and interviews. While the data analysis used Sugiyono's Circular model, namely the descriptive stage, the reduction stage and the selection stage. The results of the data analysis are: 1) There are six types of learning styles in class III MIN 3 Bantul, namely verbal, aural, kinesthetic, visual, logical, and social learning styles. Of the six student learning styles, the dominant frequency of student learning styles in this class is the kinesthetic learning style. 2) There are several specific strategies from the teacher in teaching based on students’ learning styles of class III A by adjusting their classes. 3). There are two implications of student learning styles in class III A MIN Bantul Yogyakarta in Thematic learning, namely using mental science in the application of student learning styles and the importance of knowing student learning styles.

Abstract

This study aims to elaborate on the Islamic education curriculum according to Taqiyyuddin An Nabhani in the book Al Syakhsiyah Al Islamiyah and the construction of relations in applying the curriculum in the education context in Indonesia. This type of research is qualitative research with library research. The results obtained that the upholding of religion and the application of syar'i laws (including in education) in every affair of life in the khilafah system are mandatory for Muslims with the arguments that are qaṭ'iyyuṡ ṡubūt (exact sources) and qaṭ'iyyud dalālah (clear meanings). It is not possible to do it except with the possession of power. So that in the context of education, the curriculum must include several components, namely goals, content, methods of learning, and evaluation. Whereas in the implementation of the educational curriculum by Taqiyyuddin in Indonesia as a whole it is an impossible thing to happen. However, the existence of various distinctive and different curriculum models provides an opportunity for a country to make comparisons so that it can improve several components in terms of the curriculum itself

Abstract

This research aims to the dance extracurricular "Tari Topeng Ireng" as a strategy to increase student confidence in MIS Al Islam Tempel Sleman Yogyakarta. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Retrieval of data in this research using observation, interviews, and documentation, while analyzing the data, researchers used the Miles and Huberman Interactive Analysis models. The results obtained in this research are the coach uses five methods, including lecture method, peer tutor method, demonstration method, exploration method, and discussion method. Through these methods, making students confident in appearing publicly with various characters. The supporting factors of the implementation of this extracurricular are 1). High student interest, 2). Professional builder quality, and 3). Facilities and infrastructure in practice are sufficient. While the inhibiting factors, among others: 1). Motoric students who are still lacking, 2). Schedule of activities that collide with other activities, and 3). School transportation that does not yet exist.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan tentang struktur sosial keluarga desa di Yogyakarta yang berimplikasi pada penanaman pendidikan karakter anak dan mencoba menguraikan bagaimana pendekatan sosiologi (struktur fungsional) mampu memberikan sumbangsih keilmuan terhadap dinamika keluarga desa di Yogyakarta dalam konteks tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus di Kecamatan Piyungan Bantul Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak dalam keluarga desa di Yogyakarta sejak dini telah diberikan pendidikan njawani, yakni pendidikan yang tidak hanya memahami bahasa Jawa, tetapi juga harus menjalankan etika, budaya, dan agama yang telah dilestarikan dalam masyarakat Jawa. Struktur sosial mampu memberi ruang dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter pada anak. Untuk itu, diperlukan pemahaman secara utuh dengan menyadari dua aspek penting dalam melihat perubahan keluarga desa di Yogyakarta, yakni aspek struktural dan aspek fungsional.

Abstract

School being a source of stress among students seems to be a reality that all circles need to anticipate. As a formal educational institution, school has to have a friendly nature, both friendly to children and friendly to the environment, so that they can have a positive effect on children's socio-emotional development. The purpose of this research is to reveal how the contribution of Child Friendly School (SRA) in the socio-emotional development of children at SD Negeri Ngupasan Yogyakarta. This research is qualitative and the research method used is descriptive-inductive method. Data are collected and described through in-depth observations and interviews, while the data analysis method applied is Cresswell's qualitative data. The results show that the Child Friendly School (SRA) has a contribution in the socio-emotional development of children at SD Negeri Ngupasan Yogyakarta. The stages of the Child Friendly School Program include: 1) Anti-violence policies; 2). Implementation of the curriculum; 3 Educators and education personnel trained in child rights; 4). Facilities and infrastructure; 5). Student participation; and 6) Parental participation. The contribution obtained from the implementation of the Child Friendly School program in socio-emotional development is that students could respect others, more able to control emotions, responsive, bound by parental figures, care, imitate their friends, play games that use rules and create them, following an event, confident, tolerant, cooperative and responsible, and tend to spend time with friends.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal leadership in Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren) Lintang Songo Piyungan Bantul Yogyakarta and the construction of educational relations between Kiai and santri in the context of a multidisciplinary approach. The results of the study show that there are three approaches produced. In the Normative approach, there are five things that can be revealed. 1). Straightening intentions, 2). Choosing a teacher and glorifying science and experts, 3). Learning and deliberation diligently, 4). Studying overseas and endure the difficulties which they experience, and 5). Working and praying for sufficiency. Whereas in the Psychology approach, it appears that the relationship between Kiai and santri has a very good attachment. Kiai Heri never takes the position himself as a leader and santri as subordinates, but their relationship is very intimate, like parents to their children. Furthermore, in the Sociology approach, Pondok pesantren Lintang Songo could be studied in three environments, namely material, social, and symbolic environments.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out how social change, especially in education, is caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in the perspective of educational sociology, namely through the functionalism theory and the constructivism theory. This type of study is a library research with data collection taken from articles, journals, documents, mass media, internet, statistical data, and other related literature sources. The results obtained that the functionalism theory tries to understand how the educational elements with each other elements have their respective functions which are interrelated and become a whole system, namely social, action, cultural, and personality systems. Whereas the constructivism theory tries to outline two big ideas, that students construct their own knowledge and the existence of social interaction as the constructional aspects of their knowledge. Related to education in the Covid-19 pandemic era, there are three forms of constructivism described, namely individual, social, and dialectical constructivism.
