Abstract

Energy is the initial driving source in the automotive field. Where in the automotive world there is renewable energy such as hydrogen gas. Hydrogen gas is a gas-shaped fuel that has the characteristics of colorless, tasteless, and odorless. Hydrogen gas can be produced by electrolysis of water (H2O). Where the electrolyte solution will be reacted using an electric current to produce hydrogen (H2) gas and oxygen gas (O). This study uses experimental research methods to determine the effect of variations in the number of electrode plates on the electrolizer on the volume and rate of HHO gas production using a measuring cup. The results showed that the effect of the variation in the number of electrode plates on the electrolyzer to the highest HHO gas volume occurred in the variation of 14 electrode plates with an increase of 33%. While for the highest gas production rate occurs in the variation of 14 electrode plates with an increase of 36%.

Abstract

Learning requires supporting materials in the form of reliable teaching materials, one of which can be a learning module. Therefore, it is necessary to add project-based learning modules in diesel motor courses to develop existing modules. This study aimed to measure the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of developing project-based diesel motor course learning modules. This research is included in the type of research and development (R&D). The model used in this study uses the ADDIE principle, data collection methods through questionnaires and learning outcomes tests, data analysis is processed using a quantitative approach from the application of the module and described through a qualitative approach to conclude the results of the study, the research subject consists of lecturers and students majoring in automotive engineering. The results of the research on the development of PjBl-based modules meet the feasibility of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. In its implementation, the results of the analysis of the validity aspect of the module development from the validator are 88.07% with very valid criteria, and the practicality aspect of the module development scores 86.92% with very practical criteria. The effectiveness aspect of module development is seen from the knowledge and project tests. The results of the knowledge test on 30 students and get a good average score value, amounting to 85.66%, and the field of skills or projects of 85.66%, thus achieving very high criteria.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low work readiness achieved by students who graduated from SMK. The purpose of this study was to determine the work readiness of students of SMKN 1 Batipuh Tanah Datar Regency in terms of the role of guidance in providing career guidance at school. This type of research with a descriptive correlational approach aims to describe and interpret data about the influence of the role of guidance teachers on students' work readiness in the career guidance process at SMKN 1 Batipuh. The research subjects were class XI students of all fields of expertise registered in semester 1 of the 2022/2023 school year at SMKN 1 Batipuh, totalling 52 students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics with percentage calculations and simple regression. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive influence between the role of career guidance teachers on the work readiness of students of SMKN 1 Batipuh. The results shown by the value of rxy = 0.568 compared to the interpretation table r, the level of relationship is moderate. Significance obtained titung = 4.816. The test criteria used are tcount> ttable then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted based on the t-distribution table for degrees of freedom (dk = n-2) 33, obtained ttable = (α = 0.05) = 1.697. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so the hypothesis states "There is a positive influence between the role of career guidance and counselling on the work readiness of Class XI students of all study programs at SMKN 1 Batipuh in the 2022/2023 academic year". The role of career guidance and counselling has an influence of 32.26% on the work readiness of students of SMKN 1 Batipuh and 67.74% of students' work readiness is influenced by other factors such as motivation, skills and others that exist in the student's social life environment.

Abstract

Pada sepeda motor saat ini, sistem transmisi yang digunakan adalah transmisi otomatis. Namun dikarenakan kurangnya informasi tentang pengaruh penggunan variasi berat roller menyebabkan banyak pengguna sepeda motor matic beralih menggunakan roller racing yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan tenaga dan menghemat konsumsi bahan bakar. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan variasi berat roller terhadap daya dan konsumsi bahan bakar pada sepeda motor CVT. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah True Experimental Design yang mana pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, penggunaan variasi berat roller memberikan peningkatan daya antara roller standar 13 gram dengan roller 11 gram dan roller 9 gram, serta menghasilkan penurunan konsumsi bahan bakar pada sepeda motor CVT. In today's motorcycles, the transmission system used is an automatic transmission. However, due to the lack of information about the effect of using roller weight variations, many automatic motorbike users switch to roller racing which aims to increase power and save fuel consumption. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using roller weight variations on power and fuel consumption on CVT motorbikes. The research method used is True Experimental Design in which the approach used is a quantitative approach. From the results of research conducted, the use of roller weight variations provides an increase in power between a standard 13 gram roller with an 11 gram roller and  9 gram roller, and results in a decrease in fuel consumption on CVT motorcycles.

Abstract

Ketergantungan pada sumber energi fosil saat ini sangat besar, hal ini akan menimbulkan ancaman serius bagi lingkungan dan ketersediaan energi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji dampak bahan bakar alternatif berupa penggunaan campuran bahan bakar bensin dan bioetanol terhadap emisi gas buang pada mesin sepeda motor empat langkah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan pengujian emisi gas buang pada variasi putaran mesin 1400 rpm, 2000 rpm, 2500 rpm, 3000 rpm, dan 3500 rpm. Penurunkan emisi gas buang, terutama untuk emisi Carbon Monoksida (CO) yang turun sebesar 49,34% dibandingkan dengan bensin murni pada campuran 20%. Campuran 20% juga efektif dalam menurunkan emisi hidrokarbon (HC). Pada konsentrasi campuran 30% dan 50%, emisi CO dan HC juga mengalami penurunan, tetapi tidak optimal seperti pada campuran 20%. Rata-rata penurunan emisi CO mencapai 29,18% pada semua tingkat putaran mesin yang diuji, sementara emisi HC menunjukkan penurunan rata-rata sebesar 36,43%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa campuran bioetanol pada konsentrasi 20% memberikan hasil terbaik  dan optimal. Currently, dependence on fossil energy sources is very large, this will pose a serious threat to the environment and energy availability. This study aims to examine the impact of alternative fuels in the form of using a mixture of gasoline and bioethanol on exhaust emissions in four-stroke motorcycle engines. The research method used is an experiment with exhaust emission testing at engine speed variations of 1400 rpm, 2000 rpm, 2500 rpm, 3000 rpm, and 3500 rpm. Reduction in exhaust emissions, especially for Carbon Monoxide (CO) emissions which decreased by 49.34% compared to pure gasoline at a mixture of 20%. The 20% mixture is also effective in reducing hydrocarbon (HC) emissions. At a mixture concentration of 30% and 50%, CO and HC emissions also decreased, but not optimally as in the 20% mixture. The average reduction in CO emissions reached 29.18% at all engine speed levels tested, while HC emissions showed an average decrease of 36.43%. The research results show that a mixture of bioethanol at a concentration of 20% gives the best and optimal results.

Abstract

Peningkatan keterampilan teknis siswa SMK menjadi fokus utama dalam pendidikan vokasi untuk menjawab kebutuhan dunia industri. Salah satu upaya mencetak tenaga kerja yang kompeten di SMK dilakukan dengan Praktek Kerja Industri (PRAKERIN) dan Uji Kompetensi Keahlian (UKK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh nilai PRAKERIN terhadap hasil UKK siswa kelas XII Teknik Sepeda Motor di SMK Negeri 3 Bungo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional dengan uji T berpasangan. Populasi penelitian adalah 35 siswa kelas XII TSM. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling, di mana seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian karena jumlahnya yang kurang dari 100. Data diperoleh dari dokumentasi nilai PRAKERIN dan hasil UKK yang diuji oleh penguji eksternal. Hasil menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan antara nilai PRAKERIN dan UKK, dengan Thitung 2,759 lebih besar dari Ttabel 2,032 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Kesimpulannya, pengalaman PRAKERIN berpengaruh positif terhadap UKK.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the Influence of E-Learning with Schoology on physics learning. The success indicators in this study is cosidered when  at least 75% of students were able to passed the required standard minimum score. The reseach aims to evaluate the effectiveness of E-learning schoology to increase the level of understanding in learning physics at Karangdowo 1 Senior Highschool (SMAN 1 Karangdowo). The research was built upon the classroom observation to 35 students from the class of XI IPS 4. The research will begin on July 16 until August 20, 2019. The duplicated  data containing three meeting on each cycle were recodered at two observational points: pre- and post-application cycles of  the learning strategy. The students learning ability meassured by pre-cycle posttest was estabished as an initial baseline., following by recorded the improvement of the latter after the E-learning schoology has been applied. The result have shown that students  understanding level in learning pysics is increased by 10.71% depicted by the increasing number of students (in percentage) that passed the standard minimum grade 70, on pre-cycle (25.7%) compared with the post-cyle (51.4 and 85.71%). The latter two scores were obtained from the post cycle-posttest scores after the application of the basic E-learning schoology and its associated modification method, respectively.Therefore, it can be concluded that the E-learning schoology can be considered as a promising method to increase learning outcomes for senior high school students in learning physics.

Abstract

Transmisi jenis CVT pada sepeda motor matic mengandalkan roller dan spring untuk kinerja optimal. Beberapa variasi yang dilakukan akan memengaruhi torsi, daya, akselerasi, dan top speed. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh variasi roller dan spring pada sistem CVT sepeda motor matic, terhadap torsi, daya, akselerasi, dan top speed pada putaran mesin 5000 rpm hingga 9000 rpm. Metode eksperimen dengan menguji roller 15 gram, 8 gram, 9 gram, dan 10 gram dan spring menggunakan karakteristik variasi 1, 2, dan 3. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa roller 9 gram dan 10 gram mampu meningkatkan torsi dan daya pada 5000 rpm, namun mengurangi akselerasi pada putaran 5000 rpm. Roller 8 gram memberikan akselerasi lebih baik pada putaran 5000 rpm, meskipun daya pada 9000 rpm lebih rendah. Pegas variasi 3 unggul pada akselerasi dan top speed di 9000 rpm, sementara pegas variasi 1 dan 2 lebih baik pada akselerasi 5000 rpm. Pemilihan kombinasi roller dan spring yang tepat dapat mengoptimalkan performa CVT. CVT type transmission on automatic motorcycles relies on rollers and springs for optimal performance. Several variations that are carried out will affect torque, power, acceleration, and top speed. The study aims to analyze the effect of roller and spring variations on the CVT system of automatic motorcycles, on torque, power, acceleration, and top speed at engine speeds of 5000 rpm to 9000 rpm. The experimental method by testing 15 gram, 8 gram, 9 gram, and 10 gram rollers and springs using variation characteristics 1, 2, and 3. The results show that 9 gram and 10 gram rollers are able to increase torque and power at 5000 rpm, but reduce acceleration at 5000 rpm. The 8 gram roller provides better acceleration at 5000 rpm, although the power at 9000 rpm is lower. Spring variation 3 is superior in acceleration and top speed at 9000 rpm, while spring variations 1 and 2 are better at acceleration of 5000 rpm. Choosing the right combination of rollers and springs can optimize CVT performance.

Abstract

Many students graduate with inadequate knowledge and skills, so more effective learning methods are needed. So that student competency can increase, project-based learning modules must be developed. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of project-based teaching materials on light vehicle engine maintenance. The type of research used is experimental research with a quantitative approach. The subjects in this research were 30 students used to test the effectiveness of the teaching materials developed. Trials are collected to collect quantitative data in the form of learning outcomes tests and skills tests to obtain product effectiveness scores. The data analysis technique uses a one-shot case study regarding the classical completeness of the value of knowledge and skills learning outcomes. The research results show that the use of project-based teaching materials is effective. This is based on increased students' knowledge and skills after using these teaching materials. In conclusion, the effectiveness test in developing teaching materials for light vehicle engine maintenance used by students can increase knowledge and skills in the learning process. This can help students practically understand the concept of light vehicle engine maintenance and integrate it with previously learned knowledge.

Abstract

Abstract: The right oil selection is critical in maintaining the performance of a motorcycle engine, given its role in lubrication, cooling, and reducing friction between components. This study aims to analyze the effect of semi-synthetic and full-synthetic oils on oil temperature, engine vibration, torque, and power on 4 Stroke 250 CC motorcycles to provide comprehensive information to motorcycle users about the types of oils that can optimize engine performance. The research method uses an experimental approach with a Kawasaki Ninja 250 RR Mono motorcycle as the object of study. The test was carried out at various engine revolutions (RPM) by measuring vibration using a vibration meter, temperature with a thermocouple, and torque and power through a dyno test. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics to determine significant differences between oils. The study results show that full-synthetic oil consistently provides more optimal engine performance than semi-synthetic oil. Full-synthetic produces lower vibration, maintains stable temperatures, and produces higher torque and power at each RPM. These findings indicate that full-synthetic oils can improve engine efficiency, reduce the risk of damage, and extend the life of motorcycles.Keywords: Semi-synthetic Oil, Full-synthetic Oil, Engine Vibration, Oil Temperature, Engine Performance.
