Abstract

This community service activity aims to: a) Workshop and assistance in processing cow dung into compost as a green economy solution in order to empower the economy of farmer households, b) Workshop and assistance in using compost grinding machines to produce better quality compost. The series of workshop activities took place in August 2024. The partners of this activity were farmers who were members of farmer groups in Jambak Sunua Barat Village, Nan Sabaris District, Padang Pariaman with 10 participants. This workshop activity received support from the Head of the Farmer Group, the Nagari Government, and the Nan Sabaris District. At that time, the participants of the activity also had high motivation and were very enthusiastic about participating in the workshop so that the activity was followed seriously. The results of this activity showed an increase in the ability of farmer groups as workshop participants and assistance in processing cow dung into compost as well as the use of compost grinding machines to produce better quality compost.

Abstract

Semangat gotong royong dan nilai-nilai sosial merupakan komponen penting dalam pendidikan karakter anak-anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi dampak dari penerapan aturan-aturan kolaboratif di lingkungan kelas 4 SD, termasuk lingkungan rumah, sekolah, dan sekitarnya, dalam meningkatkan semangat gotong royong siswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan metode observasi, wawancara, dan evaluasi kinerja siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan aturan kolaboratif memiliki dampak positif pada semangat gotong royong siswa. Dalam lingkungan kelas, siswa terlibat dalam kegiatan kerja sama, pemecahan masalah bersama, dan berkomunikasi secara efektif. Penerapan aturan kolaboratif juga menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung perkembangan nilai-nilai sosial seperti kerja sama, empati, dan toleransi. Selain itu, penelitian ini menyoroti keterkaitan antara semangat gotong royong siswa dan kinerja akademis mereka. Ditemukan bahwa siswa yang memiliki semangat gotong royong yang tinggi cenderung mencapai hasil akademis yang lebih baik. Praktik gotong royong yang meningkat dalam lingkungan kelas, rumah, dan komunitas berdampak positif pada hubungan sosial di lingkungan sekitar dan pada perkembangan komunitas secara keseluruhan. Hasil penelitian ini mendukung konsep penting bahwa pendidikan karakter yang kuat memerlukan kerja sama antara lingkungan rumah, sekolah, dan komunitas. Penerapan aturan-aturan kolaboratif sebagai alat pendukung dalam proses pendidikan dapat membantu membentuk karakter siswa dan memperkuat semangat gotong royong dalam masyarakat. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pendekatan ini dapat menjadi model yang efektif dalam meningkatkan semangat gotong royong di kelas 4 SD dan di sekitarnya.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and initiate policy solutions that can shape a more just and balanced future for various generations in society. The main focus is on the key role of policy in achieving generational balance and creating an environment that supports justice in various aspects of life. Through in-depth analysis of economic, educational, health and environmental issues, this research aims to develop policy recommendations that can bring positive change. The research methods used involve a cross-generational approach survey, interviews with key stakeholders, and analysis of secondary data from previous policies. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide in-depth insight into the challenges and opportunities in achieving generational balance, as well as provide a basis for formulating effective policies. The results of this research show that policies that promote equal access to education, employment opportunities, and health services have a positive impact on generational balance. In addition, it was found that active participation from the community and stakeholders in policy making was the main key to success. Recommendations for future policy include education sector reform, improving access to health services, and innovative strategies to promote work-life balance. This research contributes to the public policy literature by providing a better understanding of the role of policy in shaping a just and equitable future. The practical implications involve implementing policies that are inclusive and sustainable, taking into account intergenerational dynamics and supporting the well-being of all levels of society.

Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul Kemampuan Kreatif Manusia sebagai Manifestasi Unik dalam Rangkaian Alam Semesta, merupakan fenomena kreativitas manusia yang mendalam dan unik,menggambarkan kemampuan manusia untuk menciptakan, berinovasi, dan mengekspresikan diri dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Dalam konteks yang lebih luas, kreativitas manusia dianggapsebagai manifestasi unik dalam rangkaian alam semesta. Artikel ini menjelajahi keterhubungan antara kreativitas manusia dengan prinsip-prinsip fundamental alam semesta, menggali bagaimana kreativitas menciptakan identitas manusia, membentuk budaya, dan berdampak pada lingkungan. Melalui pandangan filosofis, kreativitas manusia dianggap sebagai cermin dari kekuatan kreatif yang ada di alam semesta. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk merinci kompleksitas hubungan antara kreativitas manusia dan keberadaan dalam konteks alam semesta, menyoroti peran kreativitas sebagai medium yang mendalam dan abadi dalam memahami tempat manusia dalam skala yang lebih besar.

Abstract

Data dari PISA, penelitian terdahulu, observasi kelas, serta studi awal di SMPN 26 Padang menunjukkan bahwa literasi sains siswa masih tergolong rendah. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan ini, diterapkan model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen tipe Nonequivalent Control Group Design dan teknik purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas VIII, dengan kelas VIII.1 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan VIII.4 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas soal literasi sains, angket respons siswa, dan lembar observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil uji beda rata-rata parametrik menunjukkan nilai thitung sebesar 8,0815 dan ttabel sebesar 2,0032, sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran model PBL tergolong sangat baik, dengan persentase keterlaksanaan sebesar 96%. Angket siswa menunjukkan respons positif sebesar 94%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran berbasis masalah terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan literasi sains siswa kelas VIII IPA di SMPN 26 Padang.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa disebabkan oleh aktivitas belajar yang masih berfokus pada latihan soal dan pemberian tugas, serta metode pembelajaran yang lebih dominan berupa ceramah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terintegrasi etnosains terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di SMPN 4 Payakumbuh. Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen melalui rancangan non-equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui pemberian pretest dan posttest, lalu dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Analisis instrumen tes menggunakan uji statistik berupa uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis. Uji hipotesis yang dilakukan menggunakan uji-t menghasilkan thitung sebesar 3,429 yang lebih tinggi dari ttabel sebesar 1,998. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa H0 ditolak, yang berarti ada perbedaan signifikan secara statistik terkait kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang diajar dengan model PBL terintegrasi etnosains.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to determine whether the effect of differentiated learning processes with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' critical thinking skills at SMP Negeri 1 Candung. The type of research used is quantitative using a quasi-experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The differentiated learning process with the PBL model is applied to the experimental class while the control class uses conventional learning methods. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The research instrument uses observation sheets, questionnaires and objective test questions. Data analysis uses normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests. Based on the questionnaire, the implementation of differentiated learning processes with the Problem Based Learning model in the experimental class is 98.01%. The statistical analysis test in this study uses Microsoft Excel. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the t count value is 2.240 and the t table is 2.001. So t count ≥ t table shows that there is a difference in the average between the experimental class and the control class. This means that there is a difference in the average critical thinking ability of students in the differentiated learning process with the PBL model at SMP Negeri 1 Candung. Meanwhile, students' responses to teachers in the learning process received a positive response from students of 94%.

Abstract

This study is conducted against the backdrop of low student learning outcomes in science classes and the widespread use of teacher-centered learning approaches. This research aims to determine the effect of applyig the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectual) model on the learning outcomes of class VII students SMPN 1 Batusangkar. This research population includes all class VII students of SMPN 1 Batusangkar, and pusposive sampling was used to determine the sampel in the study. The instruments used in study are test instrumen in the form of multiple-choice questions and non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets. The generated data is analyzed quantitatively in a descriptive manner. According to the data analysis results, Ha was accepted and H0 was refused, The rejection of H0 was supported by the t-n-gain test, which show a t-count value of 3.17 ≥ t-table value of 1.99. This suggests that the learning outcomes of the two samples differ significantly, indicating that the SAVI model's application influences students' learning outcomes, especially when it comes to Earth and the solar system.

Abstract

Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan capaian belajar pada kelas VII.3 di SMPN 1 Sijunjung dalam mata pelajaran IPA dengan model kooperatif tipe TGT. Metode penelitian ini yaitu PTK yang mencakup 4 langkah, diantaranya perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Dalam penelitian ini, subjeknya sebanyak 32 siswa dari kelas VII.3 SMP Negeri 1 Sijunjung. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan bisa dilihat adanya peningkatan pada hasil belajar siswa. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat ketika sebelum dilakukan PTK rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 54,94, setelah dilakukan siklus 1 rata-rata nya naik menjadi 70,13, pada siklus 2 naik lagi mencapai 85,72. Persentase ketuntasan belajar juga menunjukkan tren yang meningkat, yakni dari 22% sebelum tindakan, menjadi 63% di siklus I, dan mencapai 81% di siklus II. Merujuk pada temuan tersebut, terbukti bahwa penerapan model ini berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII.3 di SMP Negeri 1 Sijunjung.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a learning process that only uses conventional models, so that in class it only focuses on the delivery of material by the teacher. Students are only asked to listen and take notes on the material presented, so that this has an impact on low student learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the effect of the Project Based learning model on the learning outcomes of the 8th grader at SMPN 1 Payakumbuh. This type of this research is quasi experiment using a non-equivalent control group design. This design begins with giving a pretest and ends with giving a posttest to the experimental and control groups. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Based on the results of the student response questionnaire to the Project Based learning model, a percentage of 86.45% was found to be in the very good category. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t test, a significance value of 3.685 > 2.0003 was obtained, meaning that there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of students who use the Project Based Learning model and the learning outcomes of students who use conventional learning models. The results of the experimental class N-Gain test were found to be 0.55 in the medium category. It can be concluded that in this research, the Project Based Learning model has a significant influence on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMPN 1 Payakumbuh.
