Abstract

Fundamental karate movement techniques (Kihon) are taught to students. Karate's fundamental techniques consist of blocks, strikes, jabs, and kicks. Karate novices are required to master kihon, or fundamental techniques, from which further training is derived. The effect of rigid and repetitive training methods on students is one of boredom and saturation. A method employed to enhance students' proficiency in kihon is the utilization of visual media. The objective of this study is to compare the impact of video media and poster image learning in high-concentration and low-concentration groups on the Kihon ability of SMPN 23 Pekanbaru extracurricular karate students. The experimental methodology utilized in this investigation is a 2x2 factorial experimental design. The study's population comprises 60 pupils enrolled in extracurricular karate at SMPN 23 Pekanbaru. The sample consisted of 16 students, which were divided into two groups. The data were analyzed utilizing two-way ANOVA and the T-test. Conclusions of the investigation The impact of video media and poster images in the classroom on the kihon abilities of students varies, irrespective of their placement in the high-concentration or low-concentration group under instruction. Students' kihon abilities are not influenced by the utilization of video media and poster images to acquire knowledge, irrespective of their placement in the high-concentration or low-concentration group. The mean difference in learning outcomes between video media and poster images was notably greater in both the high-concentration and low-concentration groups when compared to learning via poster images.

Abstract

Training modification is an important strategy in sports training to improve athlete performance, and in the context of football, SSG is one promising method. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Small Sided Games (SSG) training model in improving basic football technique skills in Muspan U-12 Year Football School (SSB) students. This study used a quantitative approach with Quasi-Experimental method, adopting Pre-test Post-test Non-Equivalent Control Group design to measure exercise effectiveness. The sample of this study consisted of SSB Muspan U-12 Year students. Data was collected through tests that measured basic football technical skills, namely passing, dribbling, and shooting. This test is carried out before and after the application of the SSG exercise model, to assess changes in basic engineering skills. The results of the data analysis showed a significant improvement in basic football technical skills after the implementation of SSG training. This is evidenced by the sig (2-tailed) value of the Independent Sample t-Test test which reaches 0.000, far below the threshold of 0.05. These findings confirm that SSG practice is effective in improving basic football technique skills in SSB Muspan U-12 Year students. The conclusions of this study are important for football coaches working with younger age groups, suggesting that exercise modification through the SSG model can be an effective strategy for improving basic technical skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of training motivation in improving the under-the-ring shooting ability of adolescent basketball players. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design, involving 15 players aged between 15 to 18 years. Data were collected using a training motivation test with a Likert scale instrument, and the under-the-ring shooting skills were assessed to obtain data on shooting ability. The results of the study indicate that motivation has an influence on under-the-ring shooting, as seen in the significant relationship (0.009 < 0.05), meaning there is a positive correlation between training motivation and under-the-ring shooting ability with a moderate correlation. Therefore, it can be concluded that high training motivation leads to improved shooting performance. To enhance motivation, various forms of support, such as social support and personal achievement, should be provided, as they can contribute positively to players' on-court performance. Future research may consider additional variables such as technique, sports psychology, environmental conditions, and varied training facilities to gain a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

The lack of understanding of how the synergy between classroom management and school climate affects student learning outcomes, especially in PJOK, is the main reason for conducting this study. This study aims to understand how effective classroom management strategies and a positive school climate can affect student engagement, motivation, and achievement in the classroom. This study fills a gap in previous research that has not discussed much about the interaction between the two in depth. Using a systematic literature review, article selection uses a prism flow chart by analyzing studies from journals in the last 10 years from nationally accredited journals and reputable international journals searched on Google Scholar, Mendeley, Science direct.com. The results showed that good classroom management increased student focus, while a supportive school climate encouraged motivation and a sense of belonging. The novelty of this research lies in its approach that highlights the synergy of these two factors in Physical Education. However, this study is limited to the scope of the literature and analysis methods that can affect the generalization of the results. These findings provide insights for educators in creating a more effective learning environment.
