Abstract

The aims of this study was to look at the effect of healthy breakfast education with Islamic Comic Media on the level of knowledge of elementary school students. This study was a quasi-experimental type with pre-posttest control group design. The sampling was simple random method as many as 64 students, group A was given islamic comic media (n=32) and group B as control of the group (n=32). Nutrition knowledge level were obtained from filling out questionnaires. The influence of nutritional education media on increasing knowledge in both groups analyzed by Wilcoxon test, and continued with the Mann Whitney test. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant increase in the level of knowledge in islamic comic group (p = 0,000). There is the influence of giving Islamic comic about healthy breakfast to elementary school-age students' knowledge.

Abstract

This study was a true experimental study using the randomized controlled group method with a pre-post test design. The Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 4 groups (5 rats/group): K (+) Captopril 0,45 mg/200 g BW, goldenberry juice 1,8 ml/200 g BW (P1), cucumber juice 1,8 ml/200 g BW (P2), and 1,8 ml/200 g BW (P3, combination juice 50%:50%). Systolic blood pressure measured by blood pressure analyzer with the tail-cuff method. The result of systolic blood pressure analyzed by Paired t-Test to determine the mean difference of systolic blood pressure before and after 8% NaCl induction. One Way ANOVA test followed by Post Hoc Duncan to determine the mean difference of systolic blood pressure between groups. Goldenberry, cucumber, and combination juice have a significant effect of reducing systolic blood pressure in hypertension with p = 0,000 (<0,05). Goldenberry juice was the most effectively on reducing systolic blood pressure in hypertension with 42.21%.

Abstract

AbstractBackground: Nutritional status can be affected by physical activity. Physical activity aims to balance the energy intake and energy expenditure in the body. This cross-sectional study was conducted to assess the possible association between nutritional status and physical activities among school-aged children. Methods: School-aged children 10 and 12 years were selected from Islamic Primary School in Ngawi. Anthropometric measurements were taken using digital scales for weight and microtoise for height. The nutritional status was calculated using the standard of Z-Score. Physical activity was measured using questionnaire. Statistical test used Chi-square test. Results: We found that 83.9% participants of the study sample were classified as normal nutritional status and 16.1% were overweight.56.4% of respondents who are classified as normal weight have physical activity above the average (≥2.89), while respondents are classified as overweight having more physical activity above the average of 33.3%. Conclusion: There was no significantly difference between physical activities with nutritional status of school children (p= 0.071). Keywords:nutritional status, physical activities, school children. AbstrakLatar Belakang: Status gizi salah satunya dapat dipengaruhi oleh aktifitas fisik. Aktivitas fisik bertujuan untuk menyeimbangkan asupan energy dan pengeluaran energi dalam tubuh.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara aktifitas fisik dengan status gizi anak sekolah.Metode: Anak Usia Sekolah 10 hingga 12 tahun dipilih dari Sekolah Dasar Islam. Pengukuran antropometri dilakukan dengan menggunakan timbangan digital untuk mengukur berat badan dan microtoise untuk tinggi badan.Status gizi dihitung menggunakan standar Z-Score.Aktivitas fisik diukur menggunakan kuesioner.Uji statistik menggunakan uji Chi-square.Hasil: Sebesar 83.9% responden penelitian memiliki status gizi normal dan 16.1% tergolong gizi lebih. Sebanyak 56.4% responden yang tergolong status gizi normal memiliki aktivitas fisik di atas rata-rata (≥2.89), sedangkan responden tergolong memiliki status gizi lebih memiliki aktivitas fisik di atas rata-rata sebesar 33,3%. Kesimpulan: Tidak ditemukan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara aktifitas fisik dnegan status gizi anak sekolah (p=0.071). Kata kunci: status gizi, aktifitas fisik, anak sekolah

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between calcium and phosphorus intake with dental caries of school children. This study was an observational study with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a total sample of 96 subjects. This research was conducted in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurussalam, Ngawi starting from April - May 2019. Data on dental caries status (DMF-T index) was obtained by dental examination by a dentist. Data on calcium and phosphorus intake were obtained by direct interviews regarding the amount and type of intake using the Semi-Quantitative Food frequency Quesionaire (SQFFQ) form and the 24 hour food recall form. Calcium and phosphorus data were processed using Nutrisurvey software and the Indonesian Food Composition Table (TKPI). Chi-square statistical tests were used to analyze the relationship between calcium and phosphorus intake and dental caries. The majority of MI students who experience caries are aged 10 and 11 years. Calcium and phosphorus intake of subjects was classified as inadequate (77,1% and 59,4%). There was a significant relationship between calcium intake with dental caries p = 0,031 ( 0,05) and phosphorus intake with dental caries p = 0,029 ( 0,05). Adequate intake of calcium and phosphorus can reduce the risk of dental caries in children. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara asupan kalsium dan fosfor dengan karies gigi anak sekolah. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Tehnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan jumlah sample sebanyak 96 subjek. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurussalam, Ngawi mulai dari bulan April - Mei 2019. Data status karies gigi (indeks DMF-T) diperoleh dengan melakukan pemeriksaan gigi oleh dokter gigi. Data asupan kalsium dan fosfor diperoleh dengan wawancara langsung mengenai jumlah dan jenis asupan menggunakan form Semi-Quantitative Food frequency Quesionaire (SQFFQ) dan form food recall 24 hours. Data kalsium dan fosfor diolah menggunakan software Nutrisurvey dan Tabel Komposisi Pangan Indonesia (TKPI). Uji statistik Chi-square digunakan untuk menganalisis hubungan anatar asupan kalsium dan fosfor dengan karies gigi. Mayoritas Siswa MI yang mengalami karies adalah usia 10 dan 11 tahun. Asupan kalsium dan fosfor subjek masih tergolong kurang (77,1% dan 59,4%). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara asupan kalsium dengan karies gigi p=0,031 ( 0,05) dan asupan fosfor dengan karies gigi p=0,029 ( 0,05). Asupan kalsium dan fosfor yang cukup dapat menurunkan resiko karies gigi pada anak.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Background: As much as 73.4% of children aged ≥ 5 years in Indonesia have breakfast with the low nutritional quality of food consumption, as evidenced by the prevalence of 95.5% of children's less consumption of vegetables and fruits. Breakfast habits affect fiber and micronutrient levels. Communication and nutritional information can increase accuracy in breakfast behavior from childhood. Effective and efficient media are needed. So far, the media for children has prioritized illustrations without paying attention to the cultivation of moral values.Objectives: This study aimed to determine the effect of Islamic comic media on improving healthy breakfast attitudes among students.Materials and Methods: The research design was a quasi-experimental type. Subjects were taken by a simple random sampling method. Ninety-six students were divided into three groups. Group A was given nutrition education using Islamic comic media about health breakfast (n = 32). Group B was given nutrition education using Islamic comic strip media about health (n = 32). Group C was a control group (n = 32). The study used two types of nutrition promotion media: comics and comic strips, which are stories about healthy eating in Islam. The time for nutrition education intervention through comics and comic strips is 2x ± 35 minutes. The pretest was ± 25 minutes with ± 10 minutes explaining the instructions for filling out the questionnaire. The posttest was ± 25 minutes with a discussion for ± 10 minutes—nutritional attitudes related to health breakfast by answering a validated questionnaire. We used the Lickert scale to categorized nutritional attitudes. Statistical test was done by Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney test.Results: The distribution of nutrition attitudes of respondents increased after the provision of Islamic comics, both comics and comic strips about breakfast. The nutritional attitudes increased significantly in the Islamic comic media group (p = 0.000) and the Islamic comic strip media group (p = 0.000), from 78.75 to 92.96 and 78.61 to 92.88, respectively.Conclusions: There was a relationship between counseling and Islamic comic media regarding healthy breakfast towards the nutritional attitude of elementary school-age students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan daun kelor terhadap uji organoleptik, nilaiproksimat, dan kadar zat besi pada nugget lele. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah metodeeksperimen yaitu melakukan pembuatan nugget ikan lele dengan penambahan daun kelor dengan konsentrasiyang berbeda. Menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan 4 taraf perlakuan dengan 3 kalipengulangan (triplo). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap parameterrasa, warna dan tekstur pada uji hedonik dengan nilai <0,05, untuk mutu hedonik terdapat pengaruh yangsignifikan terhadap parameter warna dan tekstur dengan nilai <0,05, dan tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikanuntuk parameter rasa dan aroma dengan nilai >0,05, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kadar protein,lemak dan abu nugget lele daun kelor dengan nilai <0,05. Tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadapkadar air dan karbohidrat nugget lele daun kelor dengan nilai >0,05, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan padakadar zat besi dengan nilai rata-rata <0,05. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa daun kelor sangat berpengaruhterhadap penerimaan, nilai proksimat dan kadar zat besi pada nugget lele.

Abstract

Occupational health and safety as well as hygiene and sanitation are important aspects related to food management. This aspect affects food quality and worker safety so that food can be consumed safely and food handlers do not experience any work accidents. One of the efforts made to emphasize occupational health and safety as well as hygiene and sanitation is by educating food handlers. This education aims to determine the effectiveness of counseling using audiovisual methods in increasing information related to occupational health and safety as well as hygiene and sanitation for food handlers. This training used a quasi-experimental method to design a pretest-posttest panel with a sample of eight food handlers. The questionnaire was used to collect pre-test and post-test results and then tested using the paired t-test and calculated through SPSS 24.0. After carrying out this activity, it was discovered that counseling through audiovisual methods could effectively increase hygiene, knowledge of sanitation, and work safety for food handlers (p0.05) by 12%

Abstract

Rendahnya tingkat pendidikan masyarakat di desa Turi kecamatan Jetis Ponorogo, membuat mayoritas warganya bekerja sebagai buruh tani, yang mana pekerjaan buruh tani hanya dapat dilakukan temporer saja dan tidak dapat menghasilan pendapatan rutin. Hal ini mengakibatkan banyak masalah yang terjadi di setiap rumah tangga di desa tersebut seperti banyaknya Wanita yang menjadi TKW untuk mencukupi kebutuhan rumah tangga dan mencapai kesejahteraan keluarga. Di sisi lain kurangnya memanfaatkan potensi diri masyarakat desa Turi Jetis sehingga belum mampu menghasilkan pendapatan yang rutin. Kondisi ini dibutuhkan solusi dari berbagai pihak baik pemerintah maupun swasta dan juga dari pihak akademisi, sehingga pentingnya memberikan pemberdayaan bagi masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu rumah tangga. Metode pengabdian adalah berbentuk pendampingan dalam pembuatan aneka kue dan jajanan tradisional. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan sejak bulan September 2023 hingga Februari 2024 dengan melibatkan Dosen. Tim PKM yaitu Dosen Unida Gontor, Mahasiswa dan Mitra PKM. Saat ini, Mitra telah meningkat ketrampilannya dalam pembuatan aneka kue dan jajanan tradisonal dan mampu memahami kandungan gizi setiap produk yang diproduksinya serta meningkat kemampuannya dalam melakukan pembukuan sederhana juga mampu melakukan pemasaran online maupun offline, sehingga saat ini telah meningkat pendapatan keluarganya dan mulai meningkat kesejahteraannya.

Abstract

The prevalence of anemia in Indonesia has been increasing every year. The causes of anemia during pregnancy include factors such as gestational age, pregnancy spacing, adherence to iron tablet consumption, and economic status. This study aims to analyze the risk factors for anemia in pregnant women in the Pitu Health Center area of Ngawi Regency. The research uses a descriptive analytic approach with a case-control design. The sampling technique employed is purposive sampling, with a total of 34 subjects in the case group and 34 subjects in the control group. Data analysis was conducted using three methods: univariate analysis with frequency distribution, bivariate analysis with chi-square tests, and multivariate analysis with logistic regression. The results of the univariate analysis indicate that adherence to iron tablet consumption is still low in the case group (33.5%). The bivariate analysis shows that gestational age has a p-value of 0.446, pregnancy spacing has a p-value of 1.000, adherence to iron tablet consumption has a p-value of 0.003 (OR=5.250), and economic status has a p-value of 0.031 (OR=4.060). Through multivariate analysis, it was found that adherence to iron tablet consumption (OR=5.050) has the most significant association with the occurrence of anemia in pregnant women. In conclusion, this research suggests that there is an influence of iron tablet consumption on the occurrence of anemia in pregnant women in the Pitu Health Center area of Ngawi Regency. Pregnant women who do not adhere to iron tablet consumption are 5.2 times more at risk of anemia compared to pregnant women who adhere to iron tablet consumption.
