Abstract

Interpersonal communication is a key factor in enhancing work effectiveness and employee performance in government organizations. This research seeks to examine the influence of interpersonal communication on employee performance at BKKBN East Java Province. Utilizing a qualitative approach, data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that effective interpersonal communication enhances coordination, increase productivity, and create a harmonious work environment. However, several barriers hinder communication effectiveness, such as a lack of openness, differences in communication styles, rigid organizational culture, and limitations in communication technology. To address these challenges, several strategies are recommended, including enhancing communication training, promoting an open communication culture, optimizing the use of technology, and fostering more responsive leadership. With the right strategies, interpersonal communication can serve as a critical factor in improving employee performance and achieving organizational goals.

Abstract

This study applies Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) for topic modelling on undergraduate thesis titles from Information Systems students at four public universities in Surabaya. The purpose of this research is to explore dominant research themes and academic trends that have emerged over recent years. A text mining approach is employed, where hundreds of thesis titles are collected from each university and pre-processed through tokenization, stopword removal, stemming, and term weighting using TF-IDF. The LSI method is then used to extract latent topics by reducing the dimensionality of the term-document matrix through singular value decomposition (SVD). The results indicate the presence of several dominant topics such as information system development, decision support systems, and data mining. These topics reflect the recurring areas of interest in the Information Systems curriculum across the universities studied. The study concludes that LSI is effective in identifying hidden semantic patterns and grouping thesis topics into meaningful clusters. These findings may support curriculum development and academic planning by highlighting students' thematic focus and institutional research directions.

Abstract

Komunikasi interpersonal merupakan elemen penting dalam membangun hubungan kerja yang sehat di lingkungan organisasi publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana komunikasi interpersonal antarpegawai berkontribusi terhadap efektivitas kerja pada bidang kepegawaian DPU Bina Marga Provinsi Jawa Timur. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi yang dilakukan secara terbuka dan partisipatif mampu memperkuat koordinasi serta mendorong terciptanya suasana kerja yang kondusif. Meski demikian, masih dijumpai hambatan seperti ketimpangan posisi jabatan, kesenjangan komunikasi antargenerasi, dan penggunaan teknologi yang belum merata. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal efektif berperan penting dalam mendukung kinerja dan kolaborasi pegawai.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran komunikasi interpersonal dalam meningkatkan koordinasi kerja di PT Pelindo Multi Terminal Branch JANIRA. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan telaah dokumen internal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal yang terbuka, jelas, dan berbasis kepercayaan memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap efektivitas koordinasi antar unit kerja. Hambatan komunikasi seperti perbedaan persepsi dan gaya komunikasi dapat diminimalisir melalui pelatihan keterampilan interpersonal dan mekanisme komunikasi formal maupun informal. Strategi komunikasi yang tepat terbukti memperkuat kolaborasi lintas divisi dan meningkatkan responsivitas terhadap dinamika operasional. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan budaya komunikasi terbuka dan investasi dalam pelatihan komunikasi interpersonal untuk meningkatkan kinerja organisasi.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah secara mendasar cara individu berkomunikasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Munculnya berbagai platform digital seperti media sosial, aplikasi perpesanan instan, dan konferensi virtual telah mempermudah akses komunikasi lintas waktu dan ruang. Namun, di balik kemudahan tersebut, terdapat dinamika baru dalam pola komunikasi interpersonal yang menimbulkan tantangan tersendiri, baik dari segi kualitas interaksi, kedekatan emosional, hingga potensi kesalahpahaman. Komunikasi interpersonal yang sebelumnya banyak dilakukan secara langsung (tatap muka) kini semakin bergeser ke arah komunikasi berbasis teks atau audiovisual. Pergeseran ini memicu berbagai pertanyaan mengenai efektivitas, keotentikan, dan dampak jangka panjang dari digitalisasi terhadap hubungan antarindividu. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi digital dapat memperkuat koneksi sosial, sementara studi lain menyoroti risiko terjadinya keterasingan sosial, hilangnya empati, dan menurunnya kualitas hubungan interpersonal. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tantangan serta dampak yang ditimbulkan dari digitalisasi terhadap komunikasi interpersonal melalui pendekatan studi literatur. Dengan menganalisis temuan dari berbagai sumber ilmiah, diharapkan artikel ini dapat memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif mengenai perubahan yang terjadi serta implikasinya dalam konteks sosial dan budaya masyarakat modern.

Abstract

Abstrak Jurnal ini berisi tentang pendampingan pembuatan NIB dan P-IRT bagi pelaku UMKM di Desa Ranugedang, Kabupaten Probolinggo. Pembuatan kedua izin sertifikat ini dilakukan secara online melalui sistem OSS (Online Single Submssion). Izin sertifikat ini bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan kredibilitas usaha, memperluas pemasaran dan menumbuhkan kepercayaan konsumen. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pendampingan legalitas ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan triangulasi data, dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilaksanakan kurang lebih selama satu bulan. Sasaran kegiatan adalah pelaku UMKM Desa Ranugedang yang belum memiliki NIB dan P-IRT. Kegiatan ini melibatkan lima pelaku UMKM. Hasil yang dicapai selama kegiatan berlangsung, yaitu pembuatan NIB kepada dua pelaku usaha dan pembuatan P-IRT kepada lima pelaku usaha, serta berhasil memeperluas pemasaran ke beberapa pusat oleh-oleh di Kota Probolinggo, yaitu Bolinggo, Dewi Rengganis dan tempat wisata Songa Rafting. Dengan demikian, pembuatan NIB dan P-IRT dapat dijadikan sebagai strategi bagi pelaku usaha makanan rumahan untuk mengembangkan usahanya secara berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: NIB; P-IRT; pengabdian; strategi pemasaran; produk UMKM Abstract This journal discusses the assistance provided in obtaining NIB and P-IRT for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises operators in Ranugedang Village, Probolinggo Regency. The process of acquiring these two certificates was conducted online through the OSS system. These certificates are beneficial for enhancing business credibility, expanding marketing opportunities, and fostering consumer trust. The methods used in implementing this legal assistance included observation, interviews, and data triangulation, with data collection techniques carried out over approximately one month. The target participants of this activity were MSME in Ranugedang Village who had not yet obtained NIB and P-IRT. The activity involved five MSME operators. The results achieved during the activity included the issuance of NIBs for two business operators and P-IRT certificates for five business operators, as well as the successful expansion of marketing to several souvenir centers in Probolinggo City, namely Bolinggo, Dewi Rengganis, and the Songa Rafting tourist destination. Thus, the processing of NIB and P-IRT can be used as a strategy for home-based food business owners to develop their business in a sustainable manner. Keywords: NIB; P-IRT; community service; marketing strategy; SME product

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of compensation and work motivation on employee performance at MPS KUD Tani Bahagia Mojokerto. The research employed a quantitative approach with a population of 47 employees and a sample of 32 respondents selected through a cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity tests, reliability tests, multiple linear regression, F-test, and t-test using SPSS 25. The results show that compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (sig. 0.000 < 0.05; coefficient 0.722), while work motivation also has a positive and significant effect (sig. 0.000 < 0.05; coefficient 0.418). Simultaneously, compensation and work motivation significantly affect employee performance (F = 62.669; sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The R Square value of 0.812 indicates that 81.2% of employee performance variation is influenced by these variables, while 18.8% is explained by other factors. The findings highlight that fair compensation and high work motivation significantly contribute to improved employee performance.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has significantly transformed how consumers interact with e-commerce platforms. Generation Z, as the most digitally engaged consumer segment, demonstrates a strong preference for personalized and seamless online shopping experiences. This study provides a comprehensive review of how AI-based recommendation systems shape Generation Z’s purchasing decisions by balancing personalization, privacy protection, and brand loyalty. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research compiles and interprets recent empirical findings from academic publications to identify emerging patterns, ethical challenges, and marketing strategies relevant to digital-native consumers. The findings indicate that AI-driven personalization enhances consumer engagement and strengthens brand relationships; however, privacy concerns remain a major barrier to building long-term trust. Therefore, e-commerce companies are encouraged to implement transparent and ethical data management policies to foster sustainable consumer loyalty among Generation Z.

Abstract

Improving the performance of outsourcing employees has become a strategic challenge for modern organizations that rely on workforce flexibility and efficiency. Outsourced workers often face limited job security, restricted career development, and low psychological attachment to their host organizations. This study aims to systematically analyze the role of transformational leadership and organizational culture in enhancing the performance of outsourcing employees. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining twenty peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2015 and 2025. The review process followed the PRISMA guidelines, including identification, screening, eligibility, and synthesis stages to ensure analytical transparency and validity. The findings reveal that transformational leadership and organizational culture have a significant and positive influence both partially and simultaneously on outsourcing employee performance. Transformational leadership enhances motivation, commitment, and individual responsibility through inspirational communication and moral integrity, while organizational culture acts as a collective value system that strengthens belongingness and social integration. The interaction between the two creates a synergistic effect that improves productivity, loyalty, and job satisfaction among outsourced employees. This review concludes that the success of outsourcing systems depends not only on contractual and supervisory mechanisms but also on the consistent implementation of transformational leadership aligned with an inclusive and adaptive organizational culture. Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan potensi UMKM pangan lokal di Desa Liprak Kulon melalui pendampingan sertifikasi halal berbasis pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). Sertifikasi halal dinilai penting sebagai bentuk legalitas usaha sekaligus strategi peningkatan daya saing produk. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahapan pemetaan aset komunitas, pelatihan, sosialisasi, dan survei produk. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman pelaku UMKM terhadap pentingnya legalitas usaha dan kehalalan produk, yang tercermin dari bertambahnya jumlah pelaku UMKM yang mengajukan sertifikasi halal. Pendampingan ini tidak hanya membantu secara teknis dan administratif, tetapi juga membangun kesadaran kolektif untuk menciptakan ekosistem UMKM yang mandiri, legal, dan kompetitif. Pendekatan ABCD terbukti efektif dalam mendorong partisipasi aktif masyarakat dan dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain dengan karakteristik serupa
