Abstract

This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. The purpose of this research is to describe Kurt Lewin's inner conflict of approaching, moving away, approaching and moving away. Based on the results of the research "Analysis of Inner Conflict in the Film Pecopylin Cahaya Sutrada Wregas Bhanuteja", the author found 43 forms of inner conflict and 43 conflict resolutions for Suryani characters. The conflicts consisted of 3 approaching-approaching conflicts, 11 approaching-away conflicts, and 31 approaching-away conflicts. From these results, approach-away conflict was the most dominant type of conflict with 31 conflicts experienced by Suryani. This reflects the complexity of the emotions and situations that Suryani faces as a victim of sexual harassment in her efforts to seek justice amidst social and cultural pressure. Conflict resolution consists of 5 positive valences, 32 negative valences, and 6 neutral valences. The many negative valences found in the Syriac conflict resolution illustrate the difficult and challenging reality for victims of sexual violence. This situation reflects the social pressure, distrust and stigma faced by victims, so that many decisions they make result in negative consequences, both emotional and social.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of folk games as a learning medium in writing procedural texts at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTS) level through the application of the Project-Based and Problem-Based Learning (PPJBL) model. Folk games were chosen because they have the potential to increase students' motivation, participation, and understanding of the material being taught. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis involving students and teachers as participants. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns of student understanding in writing procedural texts after participating in folk game-based learning. The results of the study showed that the integration of folk games through the PPJBL model was able to increase students' creativity and collaboration, as well as provide a deeper understanding of the structure and steps in writing procedural texts. In addition, students showed more active and enthusiastic involvement during the learning process. Based on these findings, folk games can be used as an alternative effective learning medium for teaching writing skills, especially in writing procedural texts.

Abstract

Language skills are divided into receptive skills, i.e. listening and reading, and productive skills, i.e. speaking and writing. This study aims to overcome students' low interest in reading, which results in limitations in identifying the intrinsic elements of short story texts. The factors that cause this are a less supportive learning environment, teacher-centred learning methods and limited access to interesting reading materials. Using a quantitative experimental method, this research applied a one-group pretest-posttest design on students of Class XI B Madrasah Aliyah Imam Ibnu Katsir. An innovative strategy in the form of a summarising task technique was used as a learning treatment to produce post-test scores. The results showed a 50% increase in students' comprehension, with an average pre-test score of 4.3 increasing to 7.3 on the post-test, which was classified as moderate based on N-gain analysis. This strategy proved effective in improving students' ability to identify the essential elements of short story texts. The recommendations for other researchers can further develop technology-enhanced learning strategies. The aim is to increase student engagement, as well as long-term research to more fully evaluate the effectiveness of this method.

Abstract

Merindu Baginda Nabi is a novel by Habiburrahman El Shirazy which contains various forms of deixis in every speech event made by the perpetrator or character of the story. This research aims to describe the form and function of persona deixis in the novel Merindu Baginda Nabi by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used was note-taking. The data analysis technique in this research uses descriptive techniques. The research results show that the novel Merindu Baginda Nabi by Habiburrahman El Shirazy contains various forms of persona deixis, namely: singular and plural first person deixis, singular and plural second person deixis, and singular and plural third person deixis. The singular first person deixis, namely saya, aku, -ku, and ku-, was identified in 71 data, while the plural first person deixis, namely kita, kami, and kami semua, was identified in 31 data. The singular second person deixis, namely kamu, kau, and -mu was identified in 45 data, while the plural second person deixis, namely kalian, was identified in 10 data. The singular third person deixis, namely dia, beliau, ia, and -nya was identified in 31 data, while the plural third person deixis, namely mereka was identified in 9 data. The functions of persona deixis are: 40 identified referential functions, 102 identified emotive functions, and 55 identified conative functions. The novel Merindu Baginda Nabi by Habiburrahman El Shirazy predominantly uses the form of first person singular deixis and the function of personal deixis is in the form of an emotive function because the author tends to write speech that has the role of the speaker and focuses more on the feelings or attitudes of the speaker in his speech.

Abstract

The results of the situation analysis show that the implementation of differentiated learning at SMPN 21 Dumai is not yet optimal, this is proven by the content indicators that teachers still depend on the material in books. Based on the problems faced, the solution that can be presented is Classpoint-Based Learning Media Training to Realize Differentiated Learning. The results of the training showed that of the 25 participants who developed learning media, 11 people or 44% of participants achieved very good criteria, 12 participants or 48% achieved good criteria, and 2 people or 8% of participants achieved low criteria. If we look at the overall average score, the Classpoint Teacher learning media training participants at SMP Negeri 21 Dumai achieved very good criteria, namely a score of 85.3%. Thus, the Classpoint Utilization training for Dumai 21 Public Middle School teachers can be said to be successful. Classpoint-based learning media training is a strategic step in supporting differentiated learning. By utilizing technology, teachers can more effectively meet students' unique needs, creating inclusive and engaging learning environments

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran berbantuan YouTube terhadap hasil belajar menulis teks narasi sejarah siswa kelas XI SMK EKATAMA Pekanbaru. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya minat dan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks sejarah yang disebabkan oleh kurang menariknya metode pembelajaran konvensional. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, digunakan media video YouTube dalam model pembelajaran Discovery Learning guna meningkatkan pemahaman dan ketertarikan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experimental design) dan desain non-equivalent control group. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media YouTube dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes menulis teks narasi sejarah yang diberikan dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran berbantuan YouTube dengan siswa yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media YouTube efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar menulis teks narasi sejarah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan membaca puisi siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Pangean. Kemampuan membaca puisi melibatkan aspek utama seperti intonasi, penghayatan, ekspresi, dan bahasa tubuh. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 30 siswa kelas XI B. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes membaca puisi dan observasi langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan membaca puisi siswa berada dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata 76,66. Analisis lebih lanjut menunjukkan bahwa aspek ekspresi dan penghayatan memiliki kontribusi yang lebih signifikan dibandingkan aspek intonasi dan bahasa tubuh terhadap kualitas pembacaan puisi. Siswa yang lebih sering berlatih menunjukkan performa yang lebih baik dalam membaca puisi. Faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kemampuan membaca puisi meliputi metode pembelajaran, penggunaan media pembelajaran seperti rekaman audiovisual, serta motivasi siswa dalam memahami puisi. Diharapkan bahwa metode pembelajaran interaktif, seperti penggunaan media audiovisual dan latihan rutin, dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca puisi siswa. Guru juga perlu memberikan bimbingan individu bagi siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca puisi agar mereka lebih percaya diri dalam mengekspresikan puisi secara mendalam.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi merupakan elemen kunci dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, namun banyak guru masih kesulitan dalam mengimplementasikannya karena keterbatasan pemanfaatan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan Classpoint sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif yang mendukung pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan berbasis workshop yang melibatkan 25 guru SMPN 21 Dumai, yang dilaksanakan selama tiga hari dengan pendekatan sinkron dan asinkron. Evaluasi keberhasilan pelatihan dilakukan melalui pre-test, post-test, dan observasi keterampilan pengembangan media pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 44% peserta mencapai kategori sangat baik, 48% berada dalam kategori baik, dan 8% masuk kategori kurang dalam pemanfaatan Classpoint. Skor rata-rata keseluruhan adalah 85,3%, yang menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dibandingkan sebelum pelatihan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan berbasis teknologi efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas guru untuk mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi.

Diharapkan bahwa metode pembelajaran interaktif, seperti penggunaan media audiovisual dan latihan rutin, dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca puisi siswa. Guru juga perlu memberikan bimbingan individu bagi siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca puisi agar mereka lebih percaya diri dalam mengekspresikan puisi secara mendalam.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of two independent variables (1) workload and (2) time management on the dependent variable (3) personality competence of elementary school teachers in Lirik District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method, using questionnaires randomly distributed to 139 teachers. Descriptive analysis revealed that all three variables, workload, time management, and personality competence were rated at a very high level. This indicates that teachers in the area demonstrate strong professionalism and personal capabilities, even when facing substantial workloads. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis, it was found that both variables simultaneously influence teachers’ personality competence by 61,2%, while the remaining 38,8% is affected by other factors not examined in this study. These findings emphasize that effective workload management and strong time management skills are crucial factors in shaping and enhancing teachers’ personality competence. Therefore, institutional support and policies that promote work efficiency and time management skills are essential for improving the quality of education through the strengthening of teacher competence.
