Abstract

Scientific attitudes are possessed by each student who engages in scientific works, including communication and observation. Scientific attitudes training and application in biology learning are required in order to internalize. Biology is one of the senior high school school subjects in which students are expected to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the subject by comprehending and applying its fundamental concepts and principles to other disciplines. The purpose of this research is to describe the scientific attitude of students of X grades at SMAN 1 Daha Utara, with a particular focus on biology. This is a quantitative study employing a descriptive methodology and a validated questionnaire for data collection. The data collection was conducted via random sampling. Class X students of SMA Daha Utara during the 2022-2023 academic year constitute the population. The research instrument utilized is based on the scientific attitude instrument for biology learning. On the basis of the collected data, it was determined that the scientific attitude of the X grade students at SMAN 1 Daha Utara regarding biology was classified as moderate. The aspects of scientific attitude incorporated in data collection were inquisitive attitude, respect for data/facts, critical thinking, discovery, and perseverance. In biology class, experiential learning activities such as demonstrations and practicums can assist students in internalizing scientific attitudes.

Abstract

Jeruju merupakan salah satu tumbuhan khas mangrove yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat di Kawasan mangrove. Dokumentasi tumbuhan jeruju penting dilakukan untuk melestarikan potensi pemanfaatannya yang dilakukan secara turun-temurun melalui pengkajian etnobotani pada aspek kajian botani dan farmakologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aspek botani dan farmakologi jeruju pada masyarakat suku Banjar desa Pagatan Besar. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik snowball sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Agustus- Desember 2022. Instrumen penelitian yakni instrumen kajian botani dan farmakologi. Subjek penelitian yakni masyarakat suku Banjar yang tinggal dikawasan mangrove desa Pagatan Besar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aspek botani jeruju yakni berhabitus herba, akar tunggang, batang silindris, monopodial, daun tunggal, terdapat duri pada setiap ujung lekukan daun, bunga majemuk berwarna ungu dan farmakologi jeruju digunakan sebagai obat batuk, rematik, darah tinggi, sakit gigi, bisul, liver, pegal-pegal, diabetes, dan menghilangkan ketombe. Bagian dari tumbuhan jeruju yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai obat yakni, akar, daun, buah dan biji yang diolah dengan cara direbus, dihaluskan serta dapat dikonsumsi secara langsung.

Abstract

Moss plants can live well in areas that have high humidity. The Dutch Guesthouse which is located in the Sultan Adam Mandiangin Forest Park area has quite high humidity because the area has lots of dense plants, so it is a suitable habitat for the living nature of moss plants. This study aims to describe and identify the types of moss found. Data collection was carried out using the total roaming method, which was then followed by determining and identifying each sample of the moss plants found. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and identifying species with reference to the literature. The results of the study found 10 species of mosses belonging to 7 different families, both found in tree, rock and soil habitats. The species found were: Calymperes tenerum, Calymperes afzelii, Hyophila apiculata, Hyophila involuta (Hook.) A. Jaeger, Ectropothecium falciforme, Octoblepharum albidum, Philonotis hastata, Acroporium secundum, Lejeunea lamacerina, and Thysananthus sp. The results of this study are expected to provide information about the variety and biodiversity of mosses in South Kalimantan.

Abstract

Etnobotani merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari interaksi antara manusia dengan tumbuhan yang dimanfaatkan secara tradisional turun temurun sehingga menjadi pengetahuan lokal di suatu suku, etnik, dan daerah. Hymenachne amplexicaulis banyak ditemukan pada Masyarakat Dayak Bakumpai di Desa Bagus Kabupaten Barito Kuala, terutama di daerah rawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aspek etnobotani Hymenachne amplexicaulis pada Masyarakat Dayak Bakumpai di Desa Bagus Kabupaten Barito Kuala Hasil penelitian deskriptif menunjukkan adanya enam aspek etnobotani Hymenachne amplexicaulis, aspek botani Hymenachne amplexicaulis merupakan tumbuhan berhabitus herba, aspek farmakologi Hymenachne amplexicaulis digunakan sebagai obat kayap, aspek ekologi Hymenachne amplexicaulis digunakan sebagai penghijauan pada daerah Desa Bagus, aspek sosioantropologi Hymenachne amplexicaulis tidak dimanfaatkan masyarakat dalam kepercayaan Dayak Bakumpai Bagus, aspek ekonomi Hymenachne amplexicaulis dimanfaatkan sebagai pakan ternak dan sampo, aspek linguistik disebut kumpai minyak karena kumpai artinya rumput dan minyak karena berminyak.

Abstract

One form of learning in implementing the Merdeka curriculum is the application of the PBL-STEM model which brings students closer to real problems. The aim of this research is to examine the effect of applying the PBL-STEM model on cognitive learning outcomes in the environmental change sub-concept material. The method used in this research was quasi-experimental and non-equivalent control group. The experimental class was held in class X-F with a minimum number of students 34 people, and the control class was held in class X-D with a minimum number of students 34 people. Data was collected from pretest and posttest scores (product cognitive). In the data analysis technique, the Wilcoxon test was used for pre-test and post-test. The results of the research show that the application of the PBL-STEM model has an effect on students' cognitive learning in learning the sub-concept of environmental change in class X, 7.03 (caring), 6.78 (sharing), and psychomotor 21.2 (high category).

Abstract

The diversity of ferns species is very high, one type of fern that is often found in the forests of Kalimantan is the epiphytic fern. Epiphytic ferns are ferns that attach to host trees which are often found in forests with high humidity. From an ecological perspective, epiphytic ferns in Tanta Village have an important role in the environment, especially river border areas, for example as a place for small animals to live and as producers in the food chain. In terms of its benefits for humans in Tanta Village, people use it as an ornamental plant, medicine, handicraft or food. This research aims to inventory epiphytic ferns in Tanta Village, Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan. Data collection was obtained using total techniques. The results of the research found that there were 7 types of epiphytic ferns, namely: Davallia denticulata, Asplenium nidus L., Nephrolepis biserrata, Drynaria sparsisora, Pyrrosia lanceolata, Drymoglossum piloselloides, and Microsorum punctatum. From this research it can be concluded that the seven types of epiphytic ferns can be found in the riverbank area of Tanta Village because this area is suitable for supporting the life of epiphytic ferns.

Abstract

Sari Embun Lake is one of the areas in Tanah Laut Regency with various fish species that have potential as supporting material for local potential-based animal ecology courses. This study aims to describe the diversity of the Cyprinidae family found in the Lake Sari Embun area of Tanah Laut Regency, the process of developing a popular scientific book (PSB) on the diversity of the Cyprinidae family in the Lake Sari Embun area of Tanah Laut Regency, and the feasibility of the developed PSB, including its validity and readability. The research method used is research and development through the Plomp model. The results showed six fish species from the Cyprinidae family, namely seluang langkai (Rasbora argyrotaenia), puyau sangin (Cyclocheilichthys armatus), adungan fish (Hampala macrolepidota), white lampam fish (Barbodes gonionotus), red lampam fish (Barbodes schwanenfeldii), and babuluhan fish (Osteochilus hasselti), with a diversity index of 1.42 (medium diversity category). The PSB development process has the following characteristics: attractive appearance featuring original research images; the material described is data based on research results. The PSB validity results have a score of 3.67 with a very valid category, and the readability test results are 93.06% with very good criteria. Based on the test results, the PSB product for the diversity of the Cyprinidae family in the Sari Embun Lake area in Tanah Laut Regency is procedurally feasible for use as supporting material for the animal ecology course. Abstrak. Danau Sari Embun merupakan salah satu kawasan di Kabupaten Tanah Laut yang memiliki keanekaragaman jenis ikan yang berpotensi sebagai bahan pendukung mata kuliah ekologi hewan berbasis potensi lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keanekaragaman famili Cyprinidae yang terdapat di kawasan Danau Sari Embun Kabupaten Tanah Laut, proses pengembangan buku ilmiah populer (BIP) keanekaragaman famili Cyprinidae di kawasan Danau Sari Embun Kabupaten Tanah Laut, dan kelayakan BIP yang dikembangkan, meliputi kevalidan dan keterbacaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan melalui model Plomp. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan enam spesies ikan dari famili Cyprinidae, yaitu seluang langkai (Rasbora argyrotaenia), puyau sangin (Cyclocheilichthys armatus), ikan adungan (Hampala macrolepidota), ikan lampam putih (Barbodes gonionotus), ikan lampam merah (Barbodes schwanenfeldii), dan ikan babuluhan (Osteochilus hasselti), dengan indeks keanekaragaman 1,42 (kategori keanekaragaman sedang). Proses pengembangan BIP memiliki karakteristik sebagai berikut: tampilan yang menarik dengan menampilkan gambar-gambar asli hasil penelitian; materi yang dijelaskan merupakan data berdasarkan hasil penelitian. Hasil validitas BIP memiliki skor 3,67 dengan kategori sangat valid, dan hasil uji keterbacaan sebesar 93,06% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba tersebut, maka produk BIP keanekaragaman famili Cyprinidae di kawasan Danau Sari Embun Kabupaten Tanah Laut secara procedural layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pendukung pada mata kuliah ekologi hewan.

Abstract

Ethnobotany describes the relationship between plant benefits and communities over generations. Limnocharis flava (L.) Buch. is one of the plants utilized by Bakumpai Dayak community in Bagus Village and can be studied ethnobotanically. This research aims to describe the ethnobotanical study of Limnocharis flava (L.) Buch. in the Bakumpai Dayak community of Bagus Village, Barito Kuala District, and to determine the validity and readability of the content of the popular scientific book developed on the ethnobotany of genjer. This research used the development research method based on Plomp's model (1997) to develop teaching materials in the form of a popular scientific book. The results of this development research show six aspects/studies of genjer ethnobotany: genjer botanical study has a round stem (globosus), genjer ethno-pharmacological study as a remedy for tonsillitis and appetite enhancer supplement, genjer ethno-ecological study based on its growing conditions already meeting optimal conditions, genjer ethno-socioanthropological study as a complementary vegetable for wedding and celebration events, genjer ethno-economic study used as a mixture for raw vegetables and sold in markets, and genjer ethno-linguistic study named "genjir" by the Bakumpai Dayak community due to its aligned growth. The validity test results for developing the popular scientific book show highly valid results with an average score of 3.5. The readability test results for the content of the popular scientific book show very good results, with an average score of 89.5%.

Abstract

Etnobotani merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari pemanfaatan tumbuhan di masyarakat tertentu. Vitex pubescens merupakan tumbuhan yang dimanfaatkan masyarakat Banjar Desa Pagatan Besar yang perlu didokumentasikan untuk melestarikannya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan morfologi tumbuhan Vitex pubescens Vahl dan pemanfaatannya sebagai obat oleh masyarakat Desa Pagatan Besar Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Metode penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan mendeskripsikan kajian etnobotani dengan melakukan wawancara menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dua kajian etnobotani Vitex pubescens Vahl yaitu Botani Vitex pubescens Vahl merupakan tumbuhan berhabitus pohon dan farmakologi Vitex pubescens Vahl dimanfaatkan sebagai obat sakit pinggang, sakit perut/perut kembung, asam urat, rematik, demam dan luka ringan

Abstract

Electronic modules are electronic teaching materials that are arranged systematically, covering competencies that will be mastered by students and equipped with an attractive appearance. Sigil is an e-book maker application with a product format in the form of epub. This study aims to describe the validity and practicality of the Electronic Module Using Sigil Application Oriented the Scientific Approach to Environmental Change Materials for Class X High School Level. The study is part of Research and Development which refers to the 4-D model, which consists of 4 main stages, Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The subjects in this study were 9 students of class X SMAN 7 Banjarmasin. The instrument used is a student response questionnaire. The results of the practicality test obtained an average percentage of 88.54% (very practical) with a percentage of 88.00% in the display aspect (very good), 92.44% in the material presentation aspect (very good) and 85.18% in the benefits aspect (very good), overall it is categorized as very practical and can be used by students.Keywords - Electronic module, Sigil application, Scientific approach, Environmental change
