Abstract

Background: Acute pain is a sensory or emotional experience associated with actual or functional tissue damage, with a sudden or slow onset and of mild to severe intensity lasting less than 3 months. Surgical procedures can cause acute pain. The main outcome of nursing interventions related to acute pain is a decrease in the level of pain. One of the non-pharmacologic nursing therapeutic interventions that can reduce pain levels and increase comfort is hypnosis therapy. Purpose: To determine the effect of hypnotherapy on pain scale in postoperative patients. Methods: Scientific articles in English and full texts published in 2002-2020 were identified and then analyzed by PI(E)O (problem; intervention; exposure; comparison; outcome). A total of 3404 articles from the PubMed, Wiley, Science Direct, and Google Scholar databases were identified using the keywords "hypnotherapy" OR "pain". Results: The results of the study found articles that discussed the effect of hypnotherapy on the pain scale. Conclusion: Patients who are given hypnosis will feel relaxed and make their subconscious active so that they can easily accept suggestions and can ignore other stimuli, including pain stimuli. Further research should also be carried out in patients who experience chronic pain.

Abstract

Pernikahan dini adalah pernikahan yang dilakukan pada usia kurang dari 18 tahun dan umum terjadi pada remaja. Pernikahan usia dini memiliki dampak buruk terhadap kesehatan ibu dan bayi, mulai dari kehamilan hingga melahirkan, karena organ reproduksi yang belum sempurna. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja tentang pernikahan dini melalui pendidikan kesehatan dengan menggunakan media audiovisual. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah penyuluhan kesehatan yang dilakukan melalui media audiovisual. Kegiatan penyuluhan dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Pesantren I Kota Kediri, dengan melibatkan 20 remaja sebagai peserta. Materi penyuluhan mencakup informasi tentang risiko dan dampak negatif pernikahan dini terhadap kesehatan reproduksi serta pentingnya menunda pernikahan hingga usia yang lebih matang. Penyuluhan dilakukan dengan menggunakan video edukasi yang dirancang untuk menarik perhatian dan mudah dipahami oleh remaja. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan setelah diberikan penyuluhan. Sebelum penyuluhan, banyak peserta yang kurang memahami risiko kesehatan yang terkait dengan pernikahan dini. Setelah penyuluhan, mereka menunjukkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang pentingnya menunda pernikahan dan menjaga kesehatan reproduksi. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah bahwa pendidikan kesehatan melalui media audiovisual efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja tentang pernikahan dini. Metode ini dapat digunakan sebagai alat yang efektif untuk mengedukasi remaja tentang pentingnya menunda pernikahan hingga usia yang lebih matang guna mengurangi risiko kesehatan yang terkait dengan pernikahan dini. Dengan peningkatan pengetahuan ini, diharapkan remaja dapat membuat keputusan yang lebih baik terkait pernikahan dan kesehatan reproduksi mereka.

Abstract

Perkawinan adalah ikatan batin dan jasmani antara seorang pria dan seorang wanita sebagai suami istri dengan tujuan membangun keluarga (rumah tangga) yang bahagia dan kekal berdasarkan keimanan kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Pengertian perkawinan ini didasarkan pada undang-undang yang mengatur perkawinan di Indonesia, yaitu Undang-undang Perkawinan Nomor 1 Tahun 1974. Peraturan Direktorat Jenderal Bimbingan Umat Islam Kementerian Agama Nomor Nomor Dl.Ii/372 Tahun 2011 tentang Penyelenggaraan Kursus Pranikah mendefinisikan kursus pranikah sebagai pemberian pengetahuan, pemahaman, keterampilan dan kesadaran kepada remaja usia nikah tentang kehidupan rumah tangga dan keluarga. Dampak lain yang dapat ditimbulkan akibat dari perilaku seks pranikah yaitu kehamilan yang tidak diinginkan. Pada tahun 2017 terdapat 7% dan 12% wanita dilaporkan pernah melakukan hubungan seksual sebelum menikah dan kehamilan yang tidak diinginkan (Wahyuni, 2019). Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pre post test design. Sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan kesehatan tentang pranikah remaja ini diberikan kuesioner untuk diisi, kemudian dilakukan penyuluhan dan diberikan kuesiner kembali. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan remaja setelah dilakukan penyuluhan. Kegiatan penyuluhan dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pesantren 2 Kabupaten Kediri, dengan melibatkan 30 remaja sebagai responden. Materi penyuluhan mencakup informasi tentang pengertian prilaku seks pranikah, kategori perilaku seksual pranikah, Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku seksual dan Dampak-dampak perilaku Seks Pra Nikah. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa semua peserta atau 100% peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan setelah diberikan penyuluhan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil pre dan post test yang sudah diberikan. Sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan masih banyak responden yang belum mengetahui tentnag perilaku seks pranikah. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah bahwa promosi kesehatan efektif meningjkatan pengetahuan remaja tentang perilaku seks pranikah . Dengan peningkatan pengetahuan ini, diharapkan remaja dapat lebih baik dalam mengambil keputusan dan tidak melakukan seks bebas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of telenursing on interdialytic weight gain and the quality of hemodialysis nursing services. The research method used is experimental with a pre-test-post-test control group design. The results showed that the mean score of interdialytic weight gain in the intervention group was higher than the control group after being given the intervention, with a grand mean of 3.7. The p-value obtained was 0.000 at <0.05. The mean score of hemodialysis nursing service quality in the intervention group was higher than the control group after the intervention, with a grand mean of 13.9. The p-value obtained is 0.000 at < 0.05. In conclusion, telenursing is effective on interdialytic weight gain and the quality of hemodialysis nursing services. Abstract

Background: Satisfaction of patients or insurance participants is one of the factors that can be used as a reference in determining the success of a service program. This means that the good quality of a service is not based on the service provider's perception, but based on the consumer's perception because it is the consumer who enjoys the services provided by the company. The study aimed to analyze the effect of loyalty and service quality on SCA patient satisfaction and general patients at the Neurology Polyclinic UOBK Dr. Mohamad Saleh Hospital, Probolinggo City. Subjects and Method: An observational study with a cross-sectional approach were conducted at Neurology Polyclinic UOBK Dr. Mohamad Saleh Hospital, Probolinggo, East Javaon August 2022. A total of 100 patients were selected for this study. The dependent variable was satisfaction. The independent variable were loyalty and service quality. The data were collected using a set of questionnaires and analyzed using linier regression. Results: Patient satisfaction increased with good loyalty (b= 2.26; p= 0.002), and good service quality (b= 2.03; p= 0.006). Abstract

Discharge planning is an essential process that starts at patient admission and continues through discharge to ensure continuity of care and safety. However, in many healthcare settings, it is often underperformed, limited to providing basic discharge instructions like follow-up schedules. This inadequate approach fails to address patients’ comprehensive needs for at-home care, leading to gaps in post-discharge care and safety. To address this issue, this community service initiative aimed to enhance the quality of discharge planning performed by nurses through education on the Servant Leadership Method, focusing on fostering patient-centered care and empowering healthcare teams. The program was conducted from February 1 to February 10, 2024, at RSUD Banggai Regency. It involved three main phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation phase included developing educational materials and coordinating with hospital management. During the implementation phase, nurses attended workshops, discussions, and simulations focusing on servant leadership principles such as empathy, communication, and patient empowerment. The evaluation phase involved pre- and post-training assessments using structured tools to measure changes in discharge planning practices. The results showed a significant improvement in discharge planning quality after the education program. Nurses demonstrated enhanced understanding and application of servant leadership principles, leading to more comprehensive discharge instructions and better coordination for follow-up care. Patients reported improved clarity regarding their care plans, and nurses expressed greater confidence in implementing discharge procedures. Education on the Servant Leadership Method effectively improved discharge planning practices among nurses at RSUD Banggai. By focusing on empathy and teamwork, this approach enhanced patient-centered care and continuity of care. Further application of this method in broader nursing practices could yield additional benefits for healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

Abstract

Patients with chronic kidney failure often experience anxiety before undergoing hemodialysis therapy, presenting symptoms such as palpitations, nausea, tremors, and nervousness. Anxiety is triggered by factors such as seeing the blood tubing, treatment costs, invasive procedures, and uncertainty about recovery. This community service initiative aims to address anxiety in hemodialysis patients at Bhayangkara Kediri Hospital through spiritual-based Guided Imagery therapy, aimed at providing calmness and reducing stress associated with the treatment. The community service activity was conducted from September 2 to 13, 2024, at the Hemodialysis Unit of Bhayangkara Kediri Hospital. The program was carried out in three phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. A total of 14 patients participated in this activity. To measure the level of anxiety before and after the therapy, the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale questionnaire was used, a common tool for assessing anxiety symptoms. The results of this initiative showed a significant reduction in anxiety levels in hemodialysis patients at Bhayangkara Kediri Hospital after receiving spiritual-based Guided Imagery therapy. The therapy effectively alleviated anxiety symptoms such as palpitations and other physical tension related to anxiety before the hemodialysis procedure. Spiritual-based Guided Imagery therapy was proven to be effective in reducing anxiety in hemodialysis patients. This program can serve as a beneficial non-pharmacological approach in managing patient anxiety in the hemodialysis unit.

Abstract

Background: Activities in the hospital generate various kinds of waste. One of them is medical waste. Medical waste is part of the Hazardous and Toxic Material (HTM) waste which is very dangerous if it is disposed of directly at the Final Disposal Site (FDS). This study aimed to determine the management of Solid Medical Waste at RSUD dr. R.  Koesma, Tuban Regency. Subjects and Method: A qualitative research with interviews was conducted at RSUD Dr. R.  Koesma, Tuban Regency, East Java in March 2022. Participants consisted of 27 informants and 2 source triangulations. Data transcripts were analyzed using content analysis. Results: Human Resources involved in solid medical waste management are all employ­ees or employees who work at dr. R.  Koesma Regional Hospital, Tuban, East Java which produces waste. All waste management hospital staff have received medical waste training through PPI training, solid medical waste management has been labeled. The transportation of solid medical waste does not have a special route for transportation to garbage dump but instead uses the same route used by visitors to the hospital. Conclusion: Waste management hospital staff have received medical waste training through PPI training, solid medical waste management at dr. R.  Koesma Hospital Tuban has been going well.

Abstract

Background: Absorption of the expenditure budget is one of the performance assessments that is still a challenge in the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) of Health Center in Gresik Regency. The purpose of this study is to explore the evaluation of the level of absorption of the budget of the regional public service agency of the Health Center in Gresik Regency.Subjects and Method: This qualitative study was conducted in Health Center in Gresik Regency in 2 to 28 october 2022. The informants in this study were the owner or person in charge of the clinic with a total of 24 (twenty-four) people with triangulation of sources. The qualitative data and information were analyzed using source triangulation.Results: In the Resource Indicator which includes knowledge, attitudes and workload at the BLUD Health Center, it is known that the informant's knowledge regarding budgeting and BLUD absorption is quite sufficient. In addition, with the change in the status of the Health Center to BLUD, the workload of health workers has also increased. All informants have a good attitude and commitment in implementing BLUD Health Center. The unavailability of regulations related to HR management, accounts payable, investment management and cooperation management in the context of financial independence at the BLUD Health Center in Gresik Regency. There has never been any monitoring assistance from the planning process to the absorption of the BLUD budget at the Gresik Regency Health Center by the Gresik Regency Regional Financial Revenue Management Agency (BPPKAD).Conclusion: It is necessary to immediately issue regulations in the form of Decrees and Regent's Regulations related to the management of Human Resources, accounts payable, investment management, and the management of cooperation with the BLUD Health Center in Gresik Regency.Keywords: Budget, BLUD & Public Health CenterCorrespondence: Eni Wahyuni.
