Abstract

Novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori, merupakan novel yang memiliki unsur-unsur cerita menarik, seperti melihat kembali kepedihan yang dialami aktivis mahasiswa di masa Orde Baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi perlawanan yang dilakukan oleh para tokoh mahasiswa kepada otoritas yang ditunjukkan melalui bentuk perlawanan terbuka dan perlawanan tertutup dalam novel Laut Bercerita Karya Leila S. Chudori. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik baca dan catat. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Sumber data yang digunakan adalah novel Laut Bercerita Karya Leila S. Chudori. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua bentuk perlawanan yang terdapat dalam novel Laut Bercerita Karya Leila S. Chudori, yaitu perlawanan terbuka dan perlawanan tertutup yang di konfrontasikan berdasarkan karakteristik teori resistensi James. C Scott. Bentuk perlawanan terbuka yang ditemukan diantaranya adalah (1) Menyampaikan aspirasi, (2) Membangun kelas darurat, (3) Aksi demonstrasi, (4) Aksi Ngawi. Bentuk perlawanan tertutup yang ditemukan diantaranya adalah (1) perlawanan simbolik berupa berlari dan bersembunyi, (2) Grafiti politik, (3) Aksi subversif berupa menggandakan buku terlarang, (4) Diskusi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai implementasi metode pembelajaran di SD Muhammadiyah Kaliwates Jember selama program KKN DIK atau KKN Kependidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi, observasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data Model Interaktif Miles dan Huberman dengan langkah-langkah: mengumpulkan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Pada pelaksanaannya peneliti melakukan pengajaran terhadap siswa kelas dua dengan mengimplementasikan metode student centered learning. Metode yang dilakukan adalah diskusi kelas, belajar sambal bermain, dan pemberian soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode SCL secara signifikan meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran dan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep. Siswa kelas dua yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode SCL menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi intrinsik kemampuan bekerja sama dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

Research on educational games in learning contexts and advances in science and technology are becoming increasingly important. This research aims to analyze the use of educational games in the learning context in Indonesia, focusing on computer science and social science. The method used in this research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), with inclusion criteria of publication period between 2018 and 2023, English language articles, article accessibility, and relevance to computer science and social sciences. The results of this research analysis include several important findings, namely: 1) the number of educational game document publications has fluctuated, 2) affiliation trends vary, 3) author trends also vary, and 4) the results of the systematic analysis show that educational games can improve student academic achievement, problem-solving abilities, creative thinking, and independent learning abilities. In addition, the role of teachers and parents is recognized as an important factor in supporting and maximizing the benefits of digital educational technology. The findings from this research emphasize the importance of designing learning that integrates educational game-based approaches to improve the quality of learning and achieve better learning outcomes for students. The implications of this research provide a basis for developing innovative and sustainable learning strategies in the fields of computer science and social sciences in Indonesia

Abstract

Multiculturalism refers to the diversity of life across the world or a cultural framework that emphasizes the acceptance and coexistence of different cultures. Multicultural values, therefore, represent society’s appreciation of all that is considered good, important, noble, appropriate, and functionally beneficial for fostering collective development and the well-being of social life. This study aims to describe the representation of multicultural values in the novel Lelaki Harimau by Eka Kurniawan. The type of research conducted is qualitative; utilizing descriptive analysis methods, while the method employed in this study is content analysis. Based on the study's results, the novel Lelaki Harimau by Eka Kurniawan features 78 quotes that represent multicultural values. The essence of human life has 20 quotes, the essence of human work has 13 quotes, the essence of human position in space and time has 19 quotes, the essence of human relations with nature has 11 quotes, and the essence of human relations with others has 15 quotes. Based on the research results, the representation of multiculturalism values in the form of the essence of human life dominates in this novel, while the multiculturalism values in the form of the essence of human relations with nature are the least. The findings of this study can provide readers with information that the novel Lelaki Harimau by Eka Kurniawan explores individual abilities in living life. Additionally, it can be a reference for readers regarding real-life situations.

Abstract

This study investigates the symbolic premises embedded in Nadin Amizah’s albums Selamat Ulang Tahun (2020) and Untuk Dunia, Cinta, dan Kotornya (2022) through Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic framework. Employing a descriptive qualitative design and Herbert Blumer’s theory of symbolic interactionism, the research explores how icons, indexes, and symbols construct meaning in Amizah’s lyrical narratives. Data were collected from song lyrics and analyzed using Peirce’s triadic model to identify the interplay between imaginative imagery, emotional indicators, and figurative expressions. The findings reveal that the albums articulate intertwined themes of maternal affection, identity formation, emotional struggle, and spiritual reconciliation. Iconic signs depict visual metaphors of personal experience, indexes mark emotional and social relationships, while symbolic signs convey abstract representations of self-reflection and existential awareness. Through the semiotic process, Amizah’s works transcend musical aesthetics, functioning as cultural texts that reflect Indonesian youth’s emotional and social realities. The study contributes to Indonesian music semiotics by demonstrating how symbolic premises in popular lyrics mediate personal meaning and collective experience within contemporary socio-cultural contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas representasi tekanan sosial terhadap permisivitas berpacaran dalam film Pantaskah Aku Berhijab melalui kajian psikologi sastra. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengungkap bentuk-bentuk tekanan sosial yang dialami tokoh utama, Sofi, serta dampaknya terhadap perilaku permisif dalam berpacaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif pendekatan psikologi sastra, khususnya klasifikasi emosi menurut Krech (Albertine Minderop). Data diperoleh melalui observasi film, analisis dialog, serta interpretasi adegan yang relevan dengan fokus penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sofi mengalami tekanan sosial yang berasal dari keluarga, masyarakat, dan lingkungan sosial yang menimbulkan berbagai konflik batin. Tekanan tersebut memicu emosi negatif berupa rasa bersalah, menghukum diri, rasa malu, dan kesedihan yang mendalam. Kondisi ini mendorong tokoh untuk terlibat dalam perilaku permisif sebagai bentuk pelarian dari beban sosial dan psikologis yang dialaminya. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa hijab dalam film tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai simbol religius, tetapi menjadi titik konflik antara nilai kesalehan dengan realitas sosial dan kebutuhan emosional tokoh. Kajian ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis bagi pengembangan psikologi sastra, khususnya dalam mengkaji keterkaitan antara aspek kejiwaan, simbol budaya, dan media populer. Secara praktis, hasil penelitian dapat menjadi refleksi bagi remaja, pendidik, dan masyarakat untuk memahami dampak tekanan sosial terhadap pengambilan keputusan pribadi yang berkaitan dengan moralitas dan identitas diri. This study explores the representation of social pressure on dating permissiveness in the film Pantaskah Aku Berhijab through a literary psychology approach. The research aims to identify forms of social pressure experienced by the main character, Sofi, and their influence on permissive dating behavior. The method used  descriptive qualitative with a literary psychology perspective, particularly the classification of emotions by Krech (as interpreted by Albertine Minderop). Data were obtained through observation of the film, analysis of dialogues, and interpretation of key selected scenes. The findings reveal that Sofi faces pressure from her family, society, and environment, creating inner conflict and emotional instability. These pressures trigger guilt, self-punishment, shame, and deep sadness, which eventually lead her to permissive behavior as an escape from psychological and social burdens. The study shows that the hijab in the film is not only a religious symbol but also a point of conflict between piety, social expectation, and emotional needs. This research contributes significantly to literary psychology by examining the link between psychological aspects, cultural symbols, and popular media. Practically, the findings provide useful reflection  youth, educators, and society to better understand the complex impact of social pressure on personal decision making related to morality and identity.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the representation of local beliefs in modern Indonesian films shows a tendency to combine traditional elements with contemporary storytelling styles, but studies that specifically examine this combination through the perspective of magical realism are still limited. This study aims to reveal how the film Sumala  (2024) represents Javanese beliefs through three main elements of magical realism according to Wendy B. Faris, namely the irreducible element, merging realms, and disruptions of time, space, and identity. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data sources in the form of scenes, Dialogues, and visual symbols in the film. Data are analyzed through a process of reduction, classification, interpretation, and drawing conclusions based on the theory of magical realism and the concept of Javanese beliefs. The results show that Sumala presents magical objects, spiritual rituals, and human interactions with spirits as magical elements that are naturally accepted in the story world. This representation illustrates the Javanese view of life that emphasizes the balance between the rough universe and the subtle universe as an important part of the cosmological order. This study concludes that the magical elements in Sumala not only function as narrative aesthetics but also play an important role in preserving Javanese spiritual and cultural values. This finding has implications for strengthening film and cultural studies, particularly regarding the representation of local wisdom in modern Indonesian cinema.

Abstract

This study aims to examine elements of Indonesian culture in Tere Liye's novel Bumi using a literary anthropology approach. The analysis is based on Koentjaraningrat's seven dimensions of culture theory, which includes social organization systems, religious systems and ceremonies, livelihood systems, knowledge systems, technology and equipment systems, language systems, and arts. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with documentation techniques and data analysis through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the novel Bumi represents six of the seven dimensions of culture, namely social organization, religion, livelihood, science, technology and equipment, and language. The element of art is not explicitly found in the text. These findings prove that the novel Bumi not only has aesthetic value as a work of literature, but also serves as a medium for the preservation, internalization, and reflection of the culture of the archipelago. This study is expected to enrich culture-based literary studies while contributing to the learning of Indonesian language and literature. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji unsur-unsur kebudayaan Indonesia dalam novel Bumi karya Tere Liye dengan menggunakan pendekatan antropologi sastra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik dokumentasi dan analisis data melalui reduksi, penyajian, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel Bumi merepresentasikan enam dari tujuh dimensi kebudayaan, yakni sistem organisasi sosial, religi, mata pencaharian, ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan peralatan, serta bahasa. Adapun unsur kesenian tidak ditemukan secara eksplisit dalam teks. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa novel Bumi tidak hanya memiliki nilai estetika sebagai karya sastra, tetapi juga berperan sebagai media pelestarian, internalisasi, dan refleksi budaya Nusantara. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya kajian sastra berbasis budaya sekaligus memberikan kontribusi dalam pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia.
