Abstract

The research objective is to develop an  evaluation tool two tier multiple choice using the wondershare quiz creator to identify students mathematical connection capabilities. The research model uses ADDIE. The test subjects in the study were class VII-D of Islamic Qon Middle School. The research instruments used were interview sheets, validation sheets, test instruments, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques were carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. The results are: (1) the evaluation tool is feasible because it meets 2 valid and effective criteria. Valid criteria based on the assessment of media experts 94% (very feasible), and 80% material experts (feasible). Effective criteria are seen from the response of students and the quality of the items. The results of the students' responses were 82% (very interesting). While the quality of the items, the validity test contained 1 invalid question. Reliability test, there is 1 unreliable question. The difficulty level test has 7 moderate questions, 3 easy questions, and there are no difficult questions. The distinguishing power test contained 2 very good questions, 6 good questions, 2 enough questions, and not in the bad category. There were 11 distractors at the first level and 6 at the second level who were selected from all students. (2) The percentage of mathematical connections is very high 39.3%, high percentage 46.4%, moderate percentage 3.6%, low percentage 3.6%, and very low percentage 7.1%.

Abstract

Bio-batteries are one alternative as well as a solution to the limited use of electrical energy. Batteries that are widely used today are sourced from chemicals in the form of heavy metals such as mercury, lead, cadmium, and nickel, which can pollute the environment if not disposed of properly. Efforts to reduce the use of chemicals that pollute the environment need innovation to overcome the problem. This study aims to determine the formula for bio-batteries that have a long life. The method used is to mix banana peel and breadfruit peel that has been fermented with variations of b/vv (g/mmL) with a composition of 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100% at each concentration. The parameters observed in this study were pH and voltage measurements during the fermentation process for 7 days, and the bio-batteries that had been made were tested for potential differences in electric current, power, resistance, and durability. As a result, the optimum condition of the bio-battery was obtained in a mixture of 75% banana peel compared to 25% breadfruit peel by producing a potential difference of 1.37 V, an electric current of 1.5 mA, and a power of 0.68 mW. A bio-battery with a composition of 75% banana peel compared to 25% breadfruit peel can last a maximum of 31 hours and 28 minutes when used on a wall clock.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Adobe Animate media to optimize students' understanding of the concept of changing the shape of objects and their properties at the elementary school level in grade IV. The background of this research is based on the low level of students' understanding of concrete science concepts, such as changes in the form of objects and their properties, which have been conveyed through conventional learning methods and misconceptions of the learning materials. Adobe Animate was chosen as a learning medium because of its ability to present material visually, dynamically, and interactively. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the non-equivalent control group design, with the research subjects involving two different class groups of class IV of SDN 01 Panancangan, each as an experimental group (using Adobe Animate) and a control group (using conventional methods), with a total of 60 students. Data is collected through pretest, posttest, observation and documentation. The results of statistical analysis with t-test results indicated a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in the experimental group and the control group (p < 0.05) which was 0.00, where the experimental group experienced a more significant increase in understanding. These findings support the assumption that the use of animation-based digital learning media can increase the effectiveness of the science learning process in elementary schools. Adobe Animate not only improves students' understanding of object concepts, interests, and engagement, but also helps them to represent concepts that are difficult to understand through verbal explanations. This research contributes to the development of innovative learning media, in line with the demands and characteristics of students in the 21st century era.

Abstract
