Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding honey to the feed for growth and the best dosage for the growth of white snapper seeds.The white snapper seeds used have an average weight of ± 2.5 g / fish.This study used an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD).The experiment was carried out in 5 (five) treatments and each treatment had 3 (three) repetitions.The treatment consisted of adding honey to the feed with a treatment dose of (A) 0 ml / kg of feed, (B) 50 ml / kg of feed, (C) 100 ml / kg of feed, (D) 150 ml / kg of feed and (E) 200 ml / kg of feed.The results indicated that the addition of honey to the feed had a significant effect on the growth of white snapper seeds.The best dose of honey is at a dose of 200 ml / kg which has the best effect on fish growth.The condition of water quality during the study was in a suitable range for the life of white snapper seeds.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to look at the degree of infection and the prevalence of anisakis presence in the body of Euthynnus affinis . research was conduct in March - April 2017 at TPI (fish auction)  of Pekalongan city.  The length of fish used are 19-24 cm fish as the first group and 25-33 cm as the second group. The number of fish used as many as 50 fish that is divided into 2 groups as above. In this study, observation of the presence of anisakis worms carried on the organs in the fish body of the intestine, stomach, liver and fish muscles. The results showed that the degree of fish infection was 12.6 in size 19-24 cm, while the degree of infection in the 25-33 cm group was 16.5. While the prevalence value in fish group size of first 60% and group size second 88%. The value belongs to the highly infection criteria. The largest amount of anisakis found in the gut organs because on that organs is full of food which needed to grow for parasit. In both groups of anisakis worms found in the intestine more than 100, while in the liver ranged from 10 to 36.

Pengaruh Pemberian Akar Tuba (Derris elliptica) dan Saponin dengan Kombinasi Dosis Yang Berbeda Terhadap Mortalitas Ikan Kakap Putih  (Lates calcarifer) Lilis Handayani, Hadi Pranggono, LinayatiProgram Studi Budidaya Perairan, Fakultas Perikanan Universitas PekalonganEmail : hadipranggono17@gmail.com ABSTRAKIkan kakap (Lates calcarifer) adalah merupakan salah satu komoditas budidaya laut unggulan di Indonesia karena memiliki pertumbuhan yang relatif cepat dan mudah menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungan budidaya. Ikan kakp putih salah satu hama di dalam tambak udang, diantara kegagalan budidaya ialah disebabkan oleh masuknya hama kedalam tambak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi dosis akar tuba dan saponin terhadap mortalitas ikan kakap putih dan untuk mengetahui kombinasi dosis akar tuba dan saponin yang optimum terhadap mortalitas ikan kakap putih. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode RAL dan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kombinasi dosis akar tuba dan saponin dapat mempercepat mortalitas ikan kakap putih. Data mortalitas perlakuan C menunjukan nilai LC 50 dengan rata-rata yaitu 39,58 menit dan pada LC 100 yaitu 43,28 menit, perlakuan B menunjukan nilai LC 50 dengan rata-rata yaitu 49,45 menit dan pada LC 100 yaitu 49,57 menit dan perlakuan A menunjukan nilai LC 50 dengan rata-rata yaitu 75,86 menit dan pada LC 100 yaitu 80,66 menit. Sehingga diketahui pemberian akar tuba dan saponin dengan kombinasi dosis yang berbeda berpengaruh terhadap mortalitas ikan kakap putih dan dosis yang optimum adalah perlakuan C yaitu 25% akar tuba dan 75% saponin. Kualitas air selama penelitian masih dalam kisaran optimum dan layak untuk kehidupan ikan kakap putih.  Kata kunci : Ikan kakap putih, akar tuba dan saponin, mortalitas, kualitas air ABSTRACTSeabass is one of the leading marine aquaculture commodities in Indonesia because it has a relatively fast growth and easily adjust to the cultivation environment. Seabass  pheasant fish one of the pests in the shrimp pond, among the failure of the cultivation is caused by the entry of pests into the pond. This study aims to determine the effect of combination of tubal and saponin root dose to mortality of seabass  and to determine the optimum combination of tuba root and saponin doses of seabass  mortality. This research uses RAL method and qualitative analysis. The results showed that combination of tubal doses and saponins could accelerate mortality of seabass . The data of C treatment mortality showed LC 50 value with mean of 39,58 minute and at LC 100 that was 43,28 minutes, B treatment showed the value of LC 50 with average that is 49,45 minutes and at LC 100 that is 49,57 min and A treatment showed the value of LC 50 with average that is 75,86 minutes and at LC 100 that is 80,66 minutes. So it is known to give the tuba root and saponin with a combination of different doses effect on mortality of seabass and the optimum doses is C treatment that is 25% tubal root and 75% saponin. The water quality during research is still within the optimum and feasible range for the life of seabass.  Keywords : Seabass, tuba root and saponin, mortality, water quality

Abstract

Ikan bandeng merupakan komoditas yang digemari masyarakat Indonesia untuk dibudidayakan. Kencur kaya senyawa aktif yang fungsi meningkatkan konsumsi pakan yaitu meningkatkan retensi nutrisi untuk pertumbuhan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan kencur pada pakan terhadap efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan dan rasio konversi pakan serta untuk menentukan dosis terbaik yang digunakan dalam pakan ikan bandeng. Ikan uji menggunakan ikan bandeng dengan isi 5 ekor/L. Menggunakan metode eksperimental rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) 4 Perlakuan 3 Ulangan dengan Pakan uji yaitu pakan yang ditambahkan tepung kencur sesuai dosis tiap perlakuan yaitu 0 % per 100g pakan (A); 2% per 100 g pakan (B); 4 % per 100 g pakan (C); dan 6% per 100 g pakan (D). Frekuensi pemberian pakan sebanyak 3 kali sehari dan dipelihara selama 40 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai EPP terbaik pada perlakuan B yaitu 67% dan terendah pada perlakuan A yaitu 51%, nilai FCR terendah pada perlakuan B yaitu 1,47 dan tertinggi pada perlakuan A yaitu 1,93. Kualitas air selama pemeliharaan ikan bandeng yakni suhu 29–30 0C, salinitas 18–20 ppt, pH 7,5–7,9, dan DO 4,6 – 5 mg/l. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah : 1.) Penambahan tepung kencur berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tingkat efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan dan rasio konversi pakan, 2.) Dosis terbaik penambahan tepung kencur adalah 2% per 100 g pakan dengan efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan 67% dan rasio pemanfaatan pakan 1,47, 3.) Kualitas air selama penelitian dalam taraf wajar untuk menunjang pemeliharaan ikan bandeng.Kata kunci: EPP, FCR, Ikan Bandeng, Kencur

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan plastik LDPE sebagai pelapis dasar tambak udang vanamei terhadap pertumbuhan udang vanamei dan kualitas air tambak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan membandingkan hasil produksi dan kualitas air dari tambak dengan pelapis LDPE dan tambak dengan dasar tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pertumbuhan udang vanamei di tambak dengan lapis LDPE pada DOC 84, MBW mencapai 16,4, SR 92,9%, FCR 1,04. Tambak dengan dasar tanah pada DOC yang sama MBW hanya mencapai 13,8 g, SR 43,9% dan FCR mencapai 1,7. Beberapa parameter kualitas air yang menunjukkan perbedaan diantaranya adalah densitas pytoplankton, DO, dam NH3.Kata kunci : udang vanamei, tambak plastik LDPE, pertumbuhan

Abstract

Abstrak Salah satu kendala dalam budidaya ikan adalah kehadiran cacing parasit pada tubuh ikan termasuk pada ikan hias jenis cupang. Namun informasi tentang keberdaaan endoparasit pada ikan hias tersebut masih terbatas. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis cacing endoparasit  yang menginfeksi ikan cupang di Kota Pekalongan. Selain itu juga untuk mengetahui berapa tingkat prevalensi dan derjat infeksi  endoparasit tersebut. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 Desember – 15 Desember 2020. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 60 ekor adalah ikan yang menunjukan gejala sakit. Ikan dikelompokan menjadi dua kelompok berdasarkan ukuran 3.5 – 4,5 cm (Kelompok I ) dan 4,6 – 5,6 (kelompok II), masing masing sebanyak 30 ekor. Pengamatan endoparasit pada ikan cupang dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi Universitas Pekalongan.  Dengan  hasil  yang  di  dapat  yaitu  jenis cacing Capillaria sp dengan kelompok I prevalensi 36,5 % dan kelompok II 13.33 %. Sedangkan nilai dererajat infeksinya adalah 1,93 ekor per individu ikan atau infeksi rendah. Kata kunci : Capillaria sp, Endoparasit, Ikan Cupang Abstract One of the obstacles in aquaculture  is the presence of parasitic worms in the body of fish, including betta fish. However, information about the presence of endoparasites in ornamental fish is still limited. This study aims to determine the type of endoparasitic worm that infects betta fish in Pekalongan City. In addition, to find out what the prevalence rate and infectiin disesease degree of these endoparasites is. The study was conducted on December 1st – December 15th, 2020. The number of samples used was 60 fish that showed symptoms of illness. The fish were grouped into two groups based on the size of 3.5 – 4.5 cm (Group I ) and 4.6 – 5.6 (Group II), each with 30 fish. Observation of endoparasites in betta fish was carried out at the Biology Laboratory of Pekalongan University. With the results obtained, namely the type of worm Capillaria sp with a prevalence of 36.5% in group I and 13.33% in group II. Abstract

To produce certain quality germ of goldfish artificial fertilization is made. The obstacle is insufficient fish sperm becauseof inadequate male mather and the gonad which arent simultaneously mature. To solve this problem, the fish sperm is stored by using thinning agent. The agent has to sustain sperm life during the storage. One of the medium is glycerined-milk. The research aims to find out the effect of glyserine with different concentration on thining milk to sperm motility and percentage of eggs hatching. Different glyserine concentration treatments are A) 0% B) 1% C) 3% D) 4%. After three days storage, the sperm motility is done by using microscope. The result show that variety of glyserine concentration in thinning milk give obvious effect to sperm motility percentage, fertility percentahe, and egg hatching. The highest sperm motility percentage obtained by treatment D (96,28 %) followed C 95.68 %, B (91,90 %), A (90,48), and E (89,04). The percentage of Fertilization are D,B,A,E with result 97,44 %, 94,64%, 90,92%, 89,91 %, 89,32 % respectively. The percentage of hatching are D (86.85 %), C (85.41%), B (84,23), A (83,73) and E (78,16). The water quality during research is still on the reasonable range to egg hatching. Abstract

Shrimp culture is one of the lucrative fisheries agribusiness businesses to develop. However, in recent years there have been many crop failures in shrimp farming due to disease. The purpose of this society service is to provide counseling about the application of biosecurity in shrimp farming operational. The results of the service show that the service participants who are workers in the ponds of Manunggal Setia Makmur Corp. was very enthusiastic about participating in the program presentation. In addition, after presentation of the material and interactive dialogue with the presenters, the workers at this Manunggal Setia Makmur Corp. also immediately applied the concepts they got from this counseling event to his work in the shrimp pond. The conclusion obtained from this society service event is that most of the employees in Manunggal Setia Makmur Corp. still has not applied the concept of biosecurity to its shrimp culture operations. On this occasion the author provides education and examples of the application of practical biosecurity concepts in intensive shrimp farming activities.

Abstract

The purpose of the service community is to improve the knowledge and skills of cultivators so that the brightness of the color of betta fish is better and would bring them a higher income. The method of activity is training and counseling about how to increase the brightness of fish colors and masculinization of betta fish. The result of the service community describes that increasing knowledge was gained from 50 % to 70%.  The brightness of the fish's color could be reached by adding artificial feed (pellets), natural feed, light, feed additives such as carrots, pumpkin, dragon fruit, and tomatoes. Increased knowledge of cultivators about the masculinization process was found from 20% to 90%. This value-based on the total of respondents who answered all correctly. The masculinization process could be done by using some natural ingredients as follow:  honey, coconut water, sea cucumber as media for soaking the fish, and sea cucumber flour which is given to feed of fish. Keywords: betta fish, coconut water, masculinization, brightness

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1sampai 3 Desember 2021 di Laboratorium Air Payau dan Laut Fakultas Perikanan Universitas Pekalongan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung kunyit (Curcuma longa Linn.) pada pakan terhadap pertumbuhan dan FCR ikan kakap putih (Lates calcarifer, Bloch). Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen laboratorium dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah A (pakan ditambah tepung kunyit 5 gr/kg pakan), B (pakan ditambah tepung kunyit 10 gr/kg pakan), C (pakan ditambah tepung kunyit 15 gr/kg pakan) dan D (pakan ditambah tepung kunyit 20 gr/kg pakan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan D memberikan hasil terbaik dengan pertumbuhan biomassa mutlak tertinggi sebesar 6,6 g dan FCR 1,4. Setelah dilakukan analisis regresi didapatkan nilai > 96%, artinya penambahan tepung kunyit pada pakan berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan biomassa mutlak dan FCR ikan kakap putih. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup (SR) ikan selama penelitian pada semua perlakuan adalah 100%. Kualitas air selama penelitian masih dalam kisaran yang wajar yaitu suhu 28 -30 C, salinitas 28-30 ppt dan pH 7,4-7,8.
