Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digitalization strategy implemented by um cream MSMEs in facing the Society 5.0 era in order to increase business competitiveness sustainably. Digitalization has become a crucial need for MSMEs to expand market access, strengthen branding, and improve operational efficiency. This study uses a qualitative method that combines structured interview techniques, in-depth interviews, and MSME-based observations. Based on the interview results, it shows that Duriberika ice cream MSMEs have utilized social media as their main promotional tool. Based on the results of observations and interviews that have been conducted, Duriberika ice cream MSMEs utilize various digital channels such as WhatsApp and instagram to promote products, increase market reach, and build interactions with customers. With the use of appropriate technology, continuous product innovation, and a commitment to continue following the development of digital trends. Duriberika ice cream MSMEs are expected to be able to survive and develop as a highly competitive student business in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital pada era Society 5.0 membawa perubahan besar dalam cara UMKM menjalankan usaha, terutama dalam aspek pemasaran, komunikasi, dan manajemen penjualan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan digitalisasi pada UMKM, khususnya usaha makanan Dimsum, serta mengidentifikasi peluang dan kendala yang dihadapi pelaku usaha dalam menerapkan teknologi digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggabungkan data dari wawancara semi-terstruktur dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial, seperti TikTok, Instagram, dan WhatsApp Business, menjadi sarana utama dalam memperluas jangkauan pemasaran dan membangun interaksi dengan pelanggan. TikTok terbukti sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan visibilitas karena algoritmanya yang mampu menyebarkan konten secara cepat, sedangkan Instagram berperan dalam memperkuat citra usaha dan katalog produk. Adapun WhatsApp Business mempermudah proses komunikasi, pencatatan pesanan, dan layanan pelanggan. Meskipun memberikan banyak keuntungan, digitalisasi juga menghadirkan tantangan bagi pelaku usaha, terutama terkait keterampilan membuat konten yang menarik, tuntutan konsistensi unggahan, serta tingginya persaingan antar-pelaku usaha di platform digital. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa digitalisasi menawarkan peluang besar bagi UMKM untuk berkembang melalui peningkatan promosi, penjualan, serta perluasan pasar. Namun, keberhasilan implementasinya sangat bergantung pada kreativitas, literasi digital, dan kemampuan adaptasi pelaku usaha terhadap perubahan teknologi yang terus berkembang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi kebijakan pemerintah daerah dalam pemberdayaan usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah untuk kemandirian Perempuan di Desa Purwodadi Kecamatan Tebing tinggi serta untuk mengetahui upaya pelaku usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah khusus nya Perempuan dalam menciptakan peluang usaha di Desa Purwodadi Kecamatan Tebing tinggi. Dalam konteks perekonomian yang terus berkembang, Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memainkan peran penting dalam mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi local. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, dan studi literatur. Konsep teoritis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori pemberdayaan, yang mengacu pada proses peningkatan kekuatan individu dan komunitas untuk mengendalikan sumber daya, memengaruhi keputusan, dan mengatasi tantangan. Metodologi yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan metode penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah daerah di Desa Purwodadi memberikan dukungan kepada UMKM perempuan melalui fasilitasi perizinan, pelatihan, akses permodalan seperti KUR, serta penyediaan fasilitas pemasaran. Dukungan ini membantu peningkatan kualitas produksi, perluasan pasar, dan penguatan kemampuan pengelolaan usaha. Pelaku UMKM merasakan manfaatnya, meskipun masih diperlukan pelatihan lanjutan dan peningkatan literasi digital untuk menghadapi perkembangan ekonomi modern. Kesimpulannya, kebijakan pemerintah daerah telah cukup efektif mendukung keberlanjutan UMKM perempuan dan mendorong kemandirian ekonomi. Namun, penguatan pemasaran digital, inovasi produk, dan fasilitas usaha masih dibutuhkan agar UMKM dapat berkembang optimal. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya kebijakan yang berkelanjutan dan adaptif untuk membangun ekosistem UMKM perempuan yang lebih berdaya saing.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in many sectors, including those operating around the University of Jambi campus. The purpose of this study is to identify the challenges faced by MSMEs after the pandemic and to explore how they can adapt to changes in the business environment. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach and collects data through interviews and observations with MSME participants around the campus area. The findings show that the main problems faced by MSMEs include a decline in purchasing power, capital constraints, and limited digital marketing capabilities. However, there are also emerging opportunities, such as growing interest in local products and ongoing digital transformation. The study concludes that the success of MSMEs after the pandemic largely depends on their ability to innovate, improve product quality, and utilize technology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the fuel price increase, triggered by the surge in global oil prices and subsidy reduction policies, on the production, distribution, and transportation costs of MSMEs. The methodology employed is a qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews and field observations. The results indicate that the rise in fuel prices led to increased operational costs, decreased purchasing power of the community, and reduced sales and profitability of MSMEs. MSME operators responded with various adaptation strategies, such as reducing the portion or quality of materials, holding prices steady, and seeking alternative suppliers. Although fuel prices have stabilized, the residual effects of the previous price increases are still felt, with cost structures remaining high. This research emphasizes the importance of the government's role in providing support and protection for MSMEs, as well as the need for national energy policies that consider local realities to create better social and economic justice.

Abstract

This study explores the perceptions of residents in Keranggan Village regarding the Village Fund Direct Cash Assistance (BLT-DD) program and its impact on household economic conditions. The research is driven by the need to evaluate the effectiveness of social assistance policies amid persistent economic vulnerabilities, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. The main objective is to understand how beneficiaries perceive the BLT-DD program and to assess its role in supporting their economic well-being. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews and field observations with four beneficiaries and one village official. The findings reveal that the BLT-DD program is widely perceived as beneficial, especially in meeting daily basic needs among low-income families and elderly individuals. Some recipients also used the funds as capital for small-scale businesses. Although the assistance is seen as well-targeted and transparently administered, concerns remain about its sustainability in promoting long-term economic welfare. Beneficiaries expressed the need for complementary economic empowerment programs to reduce dependency on aid. Overall, the study suggests that while BLT-DD serves as a valuable short-term social protection mechanism, its long-term impact could be significantly enhanced through integrated and sustainable policy support.

Abstract

School cooperatives serve as practical-based economic learning media that enhance students’ entrepreneurial abilities. This study aims to describe the role of school cooperatives in developing the entrepreneurial spirit of students at SMA Negeri 13 Kota Jambi. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with informants consisting of the cooperative supervisor, student cooperative chairperson, treasurer, active members, and student users of the cooperative services. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the school cooperative plays an important role in fostering students’ creativity, responsibility, communication skills, and independence through activities such as buying and selling, stock management, transaction recording, and customer service. In conclusion, the school cooperative functions as an effective learning medium for cultivating students’ entrepreneurial spirit.

Abstract

The growth of digital transactions has driven an increase in purchasing activity on the TikTok Shop. This study aims to analyze the influence of influencer marketing and e-wallet usage on purchasing behavior. This study employs a quantitative approach using an ex post facto method. Data was collected through a survey distributed to 165 respondents selected using purposive sampling and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that influencer marketing and e-wallet usage have a positive and significant effect on purchasing behavior. This is evident from the calculated t-value of 6.810 > the critical t-value of 1.97 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that these variables have a positive and significant effect. E-wallet usage also has a positive and significant effect with a calculated t-value of 3.309 > the critical t-value of 1.97 and a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect with a calculated F-value of 31.185 > the critical F value of 3.05 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Additionally, the coefficient of determination (R²) of 27.8% indicates that the independent variables in this study account for 27.8% of the variation in purchasing behavior. These findings indicate that a combination of promotional strategies through influencers and the convenience of digital payment systems can drive an increase in purchasing activity.

Abstract

Rising production costs have become a serious challenge for culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jambi City, particularly due to limited capital and competitive pressures that prevent business operators from raising selling prices directly. This study aims to analyze the impact of rising production costs on business operations and profitability, as well as to identify the adaptation strategies employed by culinary MSME operators in response to these conditions. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through semi- structured interviews with six culinary MSME operators in Jambi City, including sellers of Sate Padang, Gado-gado, Siomay, Batagor, Es Tebu, Es Pisang Ijo, and Es Doger. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, and data validity was verified through triangulation. The findings reveal that all business operators experienced a direct impact from rising production costs, particularly in plastic packaging, primary raw materials, and supporting materials, which ultimately led to a decline in daily net income. The adaptation strategies implemented include reducing product portions without raising prices, switching to more economical packaging, sourcing alternative suppliers, and utilizing social media as a promotional tool.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed people’s consumption patterns from offline to online shopping, including in rural areas. This study aims to analyze shifts in consumer behavior in meeting clothing needs between online shopping and MSME tailoring services, as well as their impact on the sustainability of tailoring businesses in Petajen Village. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through semi-structured interviews involving MSME owners, employees, and consumers. The findings reveal that online shopping is preferred due to its ease of access, wide variety of products, relatively affordable prices, and promotional offers available on e-commerce platforms. However, local tailoring services still maintain a market segment for formal wear, family clothing, uniforms, bridesmaid dresses, as well as customization and size-adjustment services. The impact experienced by MSMEs is not only reflected in the decline of new clothing orders but also in the emergence of new opportunities, such as alteration services for clothing purchased online. The adaptation strategies implemented by MSMEs include utilizing social media, maintaining the quality of tailoring results, following fashion trends, and preserving personal relationships with customers. Thus, MSME tailoring services are not entirely replaced by e-commerce; instead, they have transformed into complementary services that rely on quality, size precision, and personalized customer service.
